The Programme Manager role 

Due to the expansion of our programmes we are seeking a new team member to support our next year of growth and delivery.

You will be managing and developing skills and employability programmes designed in partnership with industry. With support, from your team and colleagues, you will ensure TTF educational programmes are successfully delivered from conception to evaluation. You will work collaboratively with our corporate and industry partners to support teachers and students in schools and further education institutions.

Hybrid working

This is a hybrid role. You will be working from home and join Team Together Days in a co-working space in London 2-3 individual days each month. These days are considered commuting days. You do not need to live in London to apply for this role, but you will need to consider what you feel is a reasonable commuting distance for the team days in London.

As the Institute’s Fundraising Manager you will play a pivotal role in securing the financial resources necessary to support the Institute’s strategic initiatives and operations, as well as maintaining the relationships and communities that drive long term funding. Working closely with the Institute’s Executive Leadership and board, you will be responsible for executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy from mixed funding sources – government, philanthropic and corporate - engaging with funders, and building lasting relationships with stakeholders to maximise funding opportunities.

Alongside being active in direct engagement with funders, you will lead on the underlying processes and systems that drive successful fundraising, creating and maintaining rigorous process management, record-keeping and CRM use, funder research and meeting preparation, and supporting the senior team in creating relationships that last. You will work to make the best of the Institute’s varied and committed networks and ensure that the communities around the Institute are engaged in our work, and excited to contribute. 

Harnessing the Institute’s powerful networks across mainstream financial services impact investing, social investment, philanthropy and government you will be a key figure in securing the resourcing that underpins a dynamic new chapter of the Institute’s five-year strategy.

Key responsibilities & skills development opportunities: 

Fundraising Strategy and Implementation 

• Implement a robust fundraising strategy aligned with the Institute's mission and goals.

• Create and manage annual fundraising plans with clear targets and KPIs. 

• Identify and outreach to potential funding sources, including foundations, corporations and government. 

• Enable and support senior leadership, board and wider team to engage with potential funders, setting them up for success. 

Donor Engagement and Relationship Management 

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing donors, ensuring they are engaged and informed about the impact of their contributions. 

• Identify and approach new potential donors, providing compelling cases for support. 

• Working closely with our events capability organise and manage donor events, meetings, and communications. 

Proposal Development and Grant Management 

• Lead the development of high-quality proposals and grant applications working closely with leadership and programme colleagues.

• Monitor and report on the progress of fundraising, providing regular updates to senior management and the board. 

• Monitor and report on the progress of grants, working with project managers and leadership to ensure grant deliverables are achieved on time 

Collaboration and Team Leadership 

• Work closely with the Executive Director, and team members across the organisation to align fundraising efforts with strategic and programmatic priorities. 

• Coordinate with the communications and events team to develop engaging materials and events to support fundraising efforts. 

• Be supportive of creating a collaborative and inclusive working environment, supporting key Institute-wide commitments on DEI. 

Data Management and Reporting 

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of fundraising activities, donor interactions, and financial contributions. 

• Prepare detailed reports on fundraising performance, donor engagement, and financial targets. 

• Maintain CRM systems to be up to date, and utilize systems to manage donor information and track fundraising metrics. 

• Ensure that the Institute complies with laws, regulations and best practice relating to fundraising including, but not limited to, those specified by the Fundraising Regulator in its Code of Conduct and GDPR. 

Essential Qualifications and Experience: 

• Proven experience in fundraising preferably within the non-profit sector. 

• Interest and enthusiasm for the impact investing sector. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and presentations. 

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. 

• Proficiency in using CRM systems.

The Independent Monitoring Service is seeking to recruit professionals with experience of working with children and vulnerable adults to the role of Independent Visitor. In particular we are looking for candidates from Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, Humberside and Cumbria. 

The role of Independent Visitors is to provide visiting services on behalf of NYAS which are consistent with the National Quality Standards for Children’s Homes, Residential Special School Standards, Welsh National Minimum Standards, Health and Social Care Standards Scotland and CQC regulations. The main duties are:

• To undertake monthly visits to identified homes in accordance with the requirements of the relevant NYAS manager.

Regulation 44 visits to residential children’s homes, short breaks and secure units.

Regulation 25 visits to residential family centres.

Care Quality Commission visits to residential adult homes.

Care Inspectorate Wales regulation 8 visits to residential children’s homes.

INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE

Girls Not Brides is looking for a Head of Research, Evidence and Learning to lead the secretariat’s work on research, evidence, data and learning to inform impactful action on ending child, early and forced marriage and unions (CEFMU). The successful candidate leads the Evidence and Learning Team and works closely with all teams to ensure Girls Not Brides is a go-to and trusted source for evidence and shared learning on what works to address CEFMU and support married girls, globally and in priority regions where we work. The role holder ensures the Girls Not Brides secretariat is a highly effective learning and knowledge hub on CEFMU, co-creating and sharing collective insights and evidence to strengthen our programme, advocacy and policy work driving impact across the movement.  

Working closely with Teams in Africa, Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), they provide strategic leadership to increase uptake of research, evidence and collective knowledge by member organisations to enable more effective evidence-based action to end child marriage at all levels. Moreover, the role ensures we continue to play a leading role in coordinating global, regional and national evidence generation through convening diverse stakeholders, identifying evidence gaps and catalyzing collective efforts to strengthen the evidence base on what works to end child marriage.

In close collaboration with the Director of Learning, Evidence and Impact, the Head of Research, Evidence and Learning plays a leadership role in ensuring the timely and quality implementation and delivery of two key areas of the Strategic Objective on Learning of Girls Not Brides’ Secretariat Strategy 2022-2025. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads Girls Not Brides work to leverage knowledge, learning and evidence for impactful action to address child early and forced marriage and unions (CEFMU) across the movement.

• Working with the Learning Team, oversees knowledge management activities for Girls Not Brides ensuring the organisation has the latest learning, evidence and data on CEFMU and has up-to-date evidence-based key messages on CEFMU and relevant topics.
• Oversees the development of learning resources and opportunities on ending child marriage, including the development of thematic briefs, learning or research webinars, capacity enhancement sessions, peer learning sessions, etc.
• Works closely with Learning Team and teams in Africa, Asia and LAC to identify and respond to learning priorities of members organisations in the Global Partnership.
• In close collaboration with Heads of Africa, Asia and LAC Teams, oversees the development and implementation of Girls Not Brides learning offer with National/State Partnerships, coalitions and members.
• In close collaboration with Teams in Africa, Asia and LAC, ensures the Secretariat works effectively with member organisations to document, collate and share information and evidence on what works to end CEFMU, and supports effective action and results within the global Partnership and broader movement.
• Oversees the timely and effective dissemination of key evidence and learning to all audiences through different channels e.g. newsletter, webinar, etc.

Leads on the uptake of knowledge, learning and evidence by member organisations to increase the quality and impact of programming and evidence-based influencing.

Working closely with the Learning Team and colleagues in Africa, Asia and LAC teams:

• Supports the facilitation of knowledge exchange with and between member organisations, National and State Partnerships and coalitions and the broader movement.
• Ensures Girls Not Brides provides technical assistance on learning, data and evidence to selected National/State Partnerships and coalitions to inform and strengthen their collective advocacy and programming.
• Contributes to translate learning and knowledge into impactful advocacy and policy influencing initiatives and programmes.

Oversees Girls Not Brides’ role to promote a stronger coordination of evidence generation at all levels.

• Working closely with the Research Manager, oversees the work of the Child Marriage Research to Action Network (CRANK) to support stronger coordination of global, regional, and national evidence generation which supports the movement’s efforts to accelerate change to end child marriage.
• Contributes to reinforce strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and to position Girls Not Brides with key research actors in the field such as the UN, academics, think tanks, etc. for better coordination in the field and stronger strategic collaborations.

About the role

Across your geographic area of Merseyside, you'll:

• Identify, develop, and steward supporter relationships with businesses, fundraising groups, and high value prospects.
• Understand supporter motivations, identifying opportunities across the Charity that inspire and engage, enabling them to achieve their fundraising goals and reach their potential.
• Identify and steward corporate prospects using a pipeline process resulting in applying for and converting opportunities.
• Be proactive within your area to identify opportunities for fundraising and raise awareness of the Charity.
• Manage supporters effectively using our CRM system (OneCRM) to provide excellent stewardship.
• Meet agreed financial targets, provide monthly financial progress reports, and put mitigation plans in place for any shortfall.
• Promote BHF’s activities and campaigns to raise awareness and drive income.

Working arrangements

This is a field-based role covering Merseyside. You'll need to live in Merseyside or be able to relocate to this region.

Join us as a Housing Management Officer and you could soon be providing vital support to our Housing Manager Lead, as together you help us plan and organise all regulatory housing management activities. We’ll also rely on you to lead on day-to-day tenancy management, work with Area and Service Managers to support housing related services and ensure the compliance of housing related activities. Conducting regular inspections on properties, overseeing void reporting and assisting with the delivery of relevant data and analysis of voids – these are just some aspects of this interesting and varied role that’s all about delivering good quality homes and services to our tenants and residents.

To succeed, you’ll need Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Level 3 Certified Practitioner status (or equivalent) and an excellent understanding of  void management, bad debt and maximising income, plus the relevant regulatory requirements.

You’ll also need experience of working in a customer-focused environment or service and an understanding of the issues associated with individuals who may have complex support needs. This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to contribute to increasing and improving emotional and mental health provision within education settings for 5–18-yearolds, young adults (15 - 18), families, and other professionals within the London Boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham.

The "Be Kind to Your Mind (BK2YM)" service provides evidence-based mental health support to school- and college-aged Children and Young People, staff, young adults, families, and other professionals within the London Boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham.

Be Kind to Your Mind (BK2YM) is a non-clinical, mental health and wellbeing offer delivered by HFEH MIND Youth Services. BK2YM’s non-clinical interventions and psychoeducation programme (Learn Well) offers a multitiered level of support:

• Preventative and early intervention for children and young people aged 5 – 25 through HFEH Mind Psychoeducation Workshops and assemblies.
• Training for school staff and other professionals.
• Therapeutic Arts intervention (x6 sessions) for students.
• Access to a digital support tool (self-help): WYSA.
• Access to wider digital/online support tolls (Including My Mind TV).

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery of Be Kind to Your Mind interventions across schools, colleagues and alternative education.
• Delivering whole school/year group assemblies and ‘drop-down days’ to educational establishments within the defined area(s) of operation.
• Facilitation with targeted outreach to H&F SENCO's/AP's, adapting content for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in collaboration with Educational Psychologists.
• Ad-hoc creation of bespoke content to complement existing materials.
• Creation and delivery of education staff workshops based on provided training needs assessment form submissions.
• Outreach to schools/organisations, maintenance of Learn Well bookings.

Person Specification

Knowledge and Experience

• An undergraduate Psychology degree (or equivalent) that confers British Psychological Society’s Graduate Basis for Chartered membership (GBC).
• Understanding of the impact of social inequalities and how this relates to mental health.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the key socioeconomic and systemic factors that contribute to poor mental health of children, young people, and parents/carers from Black, Asian, and other Ethnic Minority groups.
