As we grow beyond 200 in attendance and embark on a major facility renovation at our Bathgate site, we are seeking a high-capacity Operations Director to strengthen our operational foundation. This part-time role functions as a non-pastoral “chief operating officer” for the church, translating vision into action through people, resources, and systems. In this hands-on position, you will serve as the operational glue of the church – ensuring administrative systems run seamlessly, information flows to the right people, and nothing falls through the cracks – so that our pastors are freed to focus on preaching, discipleship, and care. Key Responsibilities
- Senior Pastor Support & Workload Protection: A core mandate of this role is protecting the Senior Pastor’s time. Proactively intercept and reassign operational tasks before they land on the Senior Pastor’s desk, implementing clear intake/triage processes and calendar guardrails from day one so his time is freed for preaching, visionary leadership, and leadership development.
- Governance, Compliance & Policy: Serve as a key liaison to the Board of Trustees, providing regular operational and financial reports. Ensure the church operates in full compliance with charity law and all regulatory requirements (safeguarding/PVG, health & safety, GDPR, etc.). Own the policy lifecycle – keeping policies up to date, maintaining a live risk register, and scheduling regular policy reviews and staff training.
- Finance & Stewardship: Lead the church’s financial administration and controls – driving the budgeting process, managing expenditures/approvals, and maintaining cash-flow oversight. Work closely with the Treasurer to produce timely financial reports for the Senior Pastor and trustees. Ensure audit readiness and implement any audit recommendations, exercising cost-effective stewardship of contracts and resources.
- Sundays & Events Logistics: Oversee operational support for Sunday services and occasional special events to ensure they run smoothly (covering venue setup, tech/AV, volunteer rotas, etc.). Primarily coordinate Sunday logistics through preparation and team leadership during the week – this role does not require being on-site every Sunday (Sunday on-site involvement is only occasional, as needed for major events or troubleshooting).
- Facilities & Projects: Manage the church’s facilities to ensure our buildings and venues are safe, ready, and welcoming each week. Lead facilities projects and capital works – including serving as the point person for the Bathgate site renovation – by coordinating contractors/architects and minimising disruption to church life.
- HR Oversight & People Systems: Oversee the HR function through the HR Manager to ensure that recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and staff development are carried out effectively and in line with employment law and best practice. Keep the staff handbook and HR policies current (e.g. employment legislation, safeguarding/PVG, GDPR), maintain an annual HR calendar for policy updates and trainings, and report regularly to trustees on HR matters.
- Operational Systems & Technology: Continuously improve and oversee the church’s administrative systems and technology. Implement best-practice workflows, databases, and communication tools to enhance efficiency. Lead the adoption and effective use of digital platforms (including church management software like ChurchSuite, project management apps, etc.) so that information flows reliably, tasks are tracked, and nothing falls through the cracks. Act as a liaison to our communications and tech teams to ensure technology supports ministry needs (while not being the content creator).
- Team Leadership: Lead, line-manage, and develop the church’s admin and operations team (staff and key volunteers). This includes direct oversight of team members such as the HR Manager, Church Administrator, Bookkeeper, Building Manager, and Health & Safety Officer. Provide regular one-to-one meetings, feedback and performance reviews, setting clear objectives and offering coaching. Foster a collaborative, servant-hearted team culture where people are supported yet held accountable, and ensure strong communication across all ministries.
We are looking for someone who:

Detail-oriented and aware of key compliance areas (health & safety, safeguarding/PVG, GDPR, employment law) – ensuring the church operates safely and legally.
- Is tech-savvy and adaptable, quick to learn new software and systems (familiarity with tools like ChurchSuite, Planning Center or similar is a plus). Proactive in finding solutions, and calm under pressure with a “can-do” attitude to tackle unforeseen challenges.
- Models servant leadership, leading by example with humility, reliability, and a passion for excellence in support of the church’s mission. Highly relational and approachable, able to inspire trust and teamwork in others as you implement change.
Terms: This position is part-time (30 hours per week, 4 days) based in Bathgate, with involvement at our Edinburgh site as needed. Salary is £33,000–£36,000 per annum (full-time equivalent), pro-rated to 4 days (approximately £26,600–£28,800 actual). The start date is 24 November 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK (we are not able to sponsor visas). Centrepoint offers employer pension contributions, statutory holiday and sick leave (pro rata), and a flexible working environment. Work days can be arranged flexibly (with some remote work possible) aside from key meetings or on-site needs.
Sunday or evening work is not regularly required; however, occasional presence on a Sunday or at special events may be needed for critical operational support. Post Title: Director of Clinical Services - Psychotherapy

Line Management Reports: Clinical Managers, Outreach Therapist/s, and support staff.
Purpose of Post: To provide organisational governance and strategic leadership to the Board/Trustees, and CEO as a member of icap’s Executive team. To develop and ensure implementation of icap’s clinical strategy ensuring good governance of clinical standards and resources.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Functions

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Clinical Leadership and Management experience in a small or similar organisation. Managing and working with minoritised or deprived groups with multiple barriers and limited access to psychotherapy. Experience of producing Board reports and working with commissioners, developing funding applications, and service level agreements for Clinical services. Experience of Clinical Governance and reporting targets and outcomes.
Training and 6+ years direct experience in using psychotherapeutic and trauma informed approaches with recognised post graduate psychotherapy qualification. Accreditation with either BPC, UKCP, BACP, ICP, NCPS and/or IACP. Evidence of up-to-date practice as recommended by relevant professional body.
Knowledge and experience of SharePoint and the Microsoft suite of tools.

UNHCR stands alongside people forced to flee their homes, advocating for their rights and raising funds to support their protection, dignity and futures. UNHCR’s work has never been more important – by the end of 2024, a record 122.6 million people were displaced, with children accounting for 40% of all forcibly displaced people
UK for UNHCR (UK4U) builds solidarity and raises funds in the UK for refugees worldwide - last year UK4U raised a total income of £25.5 million and continues to build on strong foundations since its beginnings in 2019.
The charity is now seeking a Director of Individual Giving in a new and exciting opportunity to explore how UK4U can expand on these foundations, with a focus on increasing the sustainability of the donor base and maximising lifetime value, as well as identifying opportunities for transformational income growth.
The role will be responsible for leading a team of 12 people and strategic leadership for all fundraising from the UK public, including mid-value and legacy supporters, and covering both digital and offline channels. The post-holder will utilise market insight, data intelligence and an innovative approach to design a high-performing long-term Individual Giving strategy that puts UK4U’s supporters and refugee communities at the heart of everything they do.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience of leading successful, large-scale multi-million-pound Individual Giving programmes and proven leadership experience at a senior, strategic level. You will have a strong track record of fostering innovation in Individual Giving, alongside the experience shaping strategy and making significant investment decisions.
You will also have a deep understanding of the UK Individual Giving fundraising market across all channels and of programmes that focus on value, high average gift rates and mid-value programmes. Finally, you will be an inclusive and empowering leader with a strong commitment to the refugee cause. Experience of fundraising for international humanitarian and development causes would be an advantage, as well as understanding of mid-value programmes.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Fundraising and Communications Coordinator, your main focus will be trusts and foundations: researching opportunities, writing persuasive applications and producing clear reports. You’ll also play a part in growing support from corporates, community fundraising, individual donors and major gifts, helping to build a broader base of income over time.
Alongside this, you’ll lead on communications. That means keeping our website and social channels current, producing supporter newsletters, and sharing our story more widely through PR and campaigns. You’ll help make sure the difference TRAIN makes for young people is seen and understood by funders, partners and the local community.
It’s a hands-on role, well-suited to someone who enjoys writing, building relationships and juggling different projects. You don’t need to be an experienced fundraiser — we’re open to people with transferable skills, whether from corporate, public or third sector backgrounds. What matters most is that you can communicate clearly, organise your workload, and are motivated by making a difference for young people.
You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with the rest of the team. This is a part-time role of approximately 30 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly. The role is based in Didcot with hybrid working, but for the right candidate we will consider a fully remote arrangement.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Salary: £28,598 - £31,022 FTE (pro-rated, depending on experience)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising (approx. 80%)
- Pipeline and planning – work with the CEO to keep a clear fundraising plan, with trusts and foundations as the main focus alongside manageable growth in corporates, community, and individual giving.
- Trusts and foundations – research prospects, build a live pipeline, and write strong, tailored bids. Prepare accurate budgets and gather evidence from the team to strengthen proposals.
- Reporting and stewardship – deliver timely reports, thank funders and donors well, and manage renewals and uplift opportunities.
- Relationship development – nurture links with local businesses, community groups and potential major donors. Prepare simple proposals and support fundraising events or activities as needed.
- Systems and compliance – maintain accurate records of applications, deadlines and outcomes. Ensure fundraising activity is compliant with GDPR and charity regulations.
Communications (approx. 20%)
- Supporter communications – produce engaging newsletters, updates and thank-yous that connect donors and partners with TRAIN’s impact.
- Digital presence – update the website and social media channels with accurate, timely content that reflects TRAIN’s work and values.
- PR and profile – share stories with local media, partners and networks. Ensure TRAIN’s messaging is clear, consistent and accessible.
- Community engagement – promote TRAIN’s profile, youth offer, brand and presence in the community.
General
- Work closely with the CEO to align fundraising and comms priorities.
- Collaborate with youth work staff to gather stories, quotes and data that demonstrate TRAIN’s impact.
- Represent TRAIN at meetings and community events.
- Contribute to the life of a small, collaborative team.

You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy. You will be professional and demonstrate discretion and diplomacy in handling sensitive information. You will have strong time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. You will be able to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels and will be proactive and solution-focused in your approach.
