Voices in Action is a dynamic area of work within Coram that ensures the engagement of children and young people (as young campaigners). Our Young Campaigners, aged 10-25, bring their lived experiences of school exclusion, homelessness, immigration issues, involvement in the care system and involvement in the criminal justice system to improve outcomes for other young people. They achieve this through campaigning and policy work, shining a light on problems and developing ideas to make things better nationally, locally and improving the work we do.
This post plays a crucial role in enabling this to happen. Using a co-production approach, this post will bring young people’s voices to the forefront through the production of campaigns and resources for other young people and professionals.

What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a dedicated, proactive and compassionate group support co-ordinator to lead the further development, delivery, and integration of Self Injury Support’s community-based group support programme, with a focus on accessibility and reaching and engaging with diverse communities across the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire area.
About the Position
Group Support Co-ordinator
Pay grade: NJC Grade Point 24 - £33,024 per annum pro-rata based on a three-day working week comprising 21 hours per week (£18,797).
Hours: 21 per week, with some flexibility as to how these hours are delivered; including meetings and groups in the community and office-based work.

Duties and responsibilities
Service Development
Consultation and Outreach
- Consult with current and potential group participants and draw on existing service data analysis to inform the content, locations, timings and other details of a groups programme for people affected by self-harm, following on from previous pilot groups run in 2023 and 2024
- Analyse consultation and service data and in collaboration with team members decide on groups programme themes
Community Connections and Groups Development
- Connect with and become a member of a range of relevant community networks in the local area to both share service information and learning, and learn about range of wider community support available
- Connect with and build a database of potential facilitators and venues
- Develop a rolling groups calendar with a core ongoing peer support group and time-limited specialist groups
- Build on existing processes and further develop processes and procedures to ensure robust record keeping, partnership agreements and safeguarding processes are in place that are GDPR compliant
- In collaboration with other Self Injury Support services, explore areas of overlap, potential for shared learning and joint working
- In collaboration with other Self Injury Support services, develop processes and procedures to support inclusivity and accessibility, including the administration of an accessibility fund for participants
Service Delivery
Groups Promotion and Delivery
- Handle groups logistics such as booking specialist facilitators, venues, refreshments and materials in line with budget
- In collaboration with the Communications Officer develop print and digital promotional materials and develop a dissemination plan
- In collaboration with other Self Injury Support services, conduct outreach work to promote the groups programme to other relevant community groups and organisations
- Respond to group programme enquiries and bookings, keep accurate, GDPR compliant records of participants, send information to participants in a timely manner
- Administer the accessibility fund with support from the Finance Administrator
- Support the delivery of groups in collaboration with other Self Injury Support team members
- In collaboration with the Self Injury Support safeguarding team, ensure all safeguarding concerns are addressed promptly and recorded in line with organisational policy
- Take part in personal reflective practice and professional development training as needed
Review and Evaluation
- Plan appropriate evaluation and monitoring of the groups programme which encompasses the experiences of participants and facilitators and aligns with wider organisational service monitoring
- Present evaluation findings in reports for the board of trustees and funders as needed
Other
- Attend organisational team meetings and support organisational events and campaigns.

The position
To support the Financial Controller in running efficient and effective financial processing, financial controls, financial reporting and monitoring on all AKF (UK) income. To maintain a close working relationship with other AKF (UK) employees and provide cover for the Finance Officer (Expenditure).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CORE TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Financial processing
- Process donations received directly into AKF (UK)’s bank accounts into Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Dynamics promptly and accurately.
- Process donations received through the AKF (UK) website into Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Dynamics promptly and accurately, including ad hoc and standing order donations.
- Process donations received from online fundraising websites into Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Dynamics promptly and accurately.
- Process monthly donations from Jamatkhanas into Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Dynamics promptly and accurately.
- Process all non-donation related income received into Microsoft Dynamics promptly and accurately.
- Manage receipts of legacy income, ensuring full documentation and prompt transfer to AKF Geneva.
- Ensure all cheques and cash received are banked promptly.
- Ensure funds received for other AKDN agencies are transferred on a quarterly basis.
- Post all supplier invoices and supplier payments relating to Victoria Hall into Microsoft Dynamics.
- Prepare periodic statements relating to fundraising campaigns and share these with relevant individual donors.
- To provide cover for the following tasks owned by the Finance Officer (Expenditure).
- Ensure supplier invoices are authorised by the relevant budget holder and entered into Microsoft Dynamics promptly and accurately.
- Prepare payments on online banking system and ensure payment paperwork is sent to the bank signatories in good time.
- Process all bank payments, interest payments, deposit movements and bank charges into Microsoft Dynamics.
Financial administration
- Manage the donations inbox and liaise with donors and prospective donors to provide information and respond to queries.
- Ensure Raiser’s Edge is up to date with key donor information and standing data.
- Prepare and send letters to donors to acknowledge donations received, on a timely basis.
- Inform the AKF (UK) National Committee Chairman of all donations greater than £10k.
- Ensure AKF (UK) Gift Aid declaration forms are up to date and in line with current legislation.
- Prepare and submit the online Gift Aid claims on a quarterly basis.
- Provide assistance with the annual audit and the preparation of the statutory accounts.
- Financial controls
- Complete the reconciliation of Raiser’s Edge to Microsoft Dynamics and to the bank on a monthly basis.
- Complete bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Complete the reconciliation of all funds received for other AKDN agencies on a monthly basis.
- Complete other balance sheet reconciliations as required by the Financial Controller.
Income reporting
- Produce monthly reports for AKF Geneva on Golden Jubilee and Diamond Jubilee donations.
- Produce monthly reports for other AKDN agencies on donations designated to them by AKF (UK).
- Produce other ad-hoc reports on income as requested by the Financial Controller.
Qualifications
- CCAB qualified accountant (desirable).
Experience
- Minimum of three years hands-on experience in financial accounting.
- Advanced experience using Excel and integrated multi-ledger accounting systems.
- Experience working in a multi-currency environment (desirable).
- Experience of charity accounting and knowledge of such requirements.
- Experience working as part of a small hands-on team.
- Experience of filing Gift Aid claims.
Skills
- Good interpersonal, customer care and liaison skills with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong numerate skills with acute attention to detail.
- Fluent in oral and written English.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

Duties and key responsibilities
Policy
- Work with the Policy and Public Affairs Manager to support and deliver Sarcoma UK’s policy development.
- Support the development of evidence-based policy positions that are representative of the external healthcare environment, working alongside colleagues, clinical and healthcare professionals.

Although the initial support is short and temporary, the long-term impacts for victims can be significant.
Essential role requirements

Our hospice was founded by two passionate volunteers who believed that their local community needed a hospice. For the first time, we are working to a dedicated sub-strategy that outlines our vision for collaborating with our volunteers and our communities to strengthen the role of the hospice throughout Greenwich and Bexley.
As Head of Community Development & Volunteering, you will lead the team that delivers our core volunteering programme and our community outreach programme, as well as innovative programmes which span both areas of the role, such as our Compassionate Neighbours and Young Ward Volunteers programmes, as well as developing and building upon the links we are establishing with local groups who are keen to be learn more about and play a more important role in shaping hospice care. You will ensure that our priorities keep pace with a changing external landscape, identifying and leading new ways for the hospice to be an anchor institution in our local community.
You will draw on the valuable lessons we learned during the pandemic to drive innovation and deliver sustainable opportunities that contribute towards our ongoing success, whilst growing and nurturing our small but talented team.

Support Dogs trains and provides specialist assistance dog to give 100% reliable advance warning of epileptic seizures; to help children with autism to stay safe and better engage with the world around them. Founded and entirely based in Sheffield our charity operates across the UK, growing significantly over recent years. The demand for our work is overwhelming, with requests for support increasing ten-fold over the past few years. Support Dogs provides all of its services free of charge and relies entirely on voluntary donations for funding.
Funding from trusts and charitable foundations is vital to our charities ability to provide its vital, life saving work. Support Dogs is going through a period of growth and is looking for an experienced fundraiser to provide support to help us to reach further and maximise opportunities as our existing post holder takes maternity leave.
At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for an Admissions Officer to join our Learner and Family Services team.
This postholder will undertake the admissions and pre-entry assessment processes in accordance with the SEN Code of Practice for education establishments within Ambitious about Autism (AaA) and Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust (AaAST).
You'll act as the first point of contact for admission enquiries for St John's College Brighton from prospective parents/carers, determining basic eligibility of prospective learners on initial enquiry and deciding on appropriate action required.
You'll process applications and monitor each individual admissions case, creating electronic and paper applicant records, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy at all times in line with GDPR. You'll be able to handle a varied workload with tight timescales and conduct yourself in a professional, yet sensitive manner.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience of dealing with potentially emotional callers and handling sensitive telephone conversations in a polite and professional manner.
- An understanding of autism and the special needs education environment.
- Experience of prioritising a range of administrative tasks in an accurate, effective and timely manner.
- A willingness to learn how students are funded, including understanding of the Education and Skills Funding Agency.

Peterhouse seeks to appoint a talented fundraiser as its new Development Director, a key position within the College.
The new Development Director will have the exciting opportunity to develop and shape a new fundraising and campaign strategy for the College. Working closely with the Master, Professor Andy Parker, you will ensure Peterhouse meets its significant fundraising potential.
In 2034, Peterhouse will reach its 750th anniversary and celebrate 50 years since the admission of women to the College. The work done so far has built strong relationships with our alumni which will form the foundation of a new campaign over the next decade, leading up to these milestones. The incoming Director will lead and shape this campaign.
You will manage a portfolio of the College's most significant donors and prospects, cultivating and personally soliciting potential benefactors for major gifts.
