The Individual Giving Manager will be responsible for reaching new supporters, developing and implementing engaging and innovative marketing activities that attract a range of new donors for the charity. They will use a variety of channels including digital, face-to-face and DRTV, and work with teams across the charity to ensure the impact of all activity is maximised.
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Working with the Head of Individual Giving and Legacies create and review plans to deliver strategies within agreed income and cost thresholds, generating sustainable year on year growth.
• Working with the finance business partner prepare financial business cases to drive the development of the supporter acquisition strategy. Make the case for new fundraising methods with clear understanding of ROI, supporter acquisition cost, and channel payback models.
• Monitor performance against budget: ensure financial targets are met, monitor any shortfalls, and take remedial action as necessary.
• Experience of Individual Giving and acquisition programmes.
• Manage agency and supplier relationships - including with creative agencies, list brokers, media buyers, fulfilment houses and external professional fundraising organisations - to deliver agreed plans and campaigns.

• Using databases to inform Individual Giving campaigns
• Managing and delivering budgets and working with agencies
• Monitoring and evaluating campaigns, reporting results and make recommendations to improve performance.

This is a hybrid role requiring 50% time in their Central London Office.

Working with over 70 exhibitors, multiple sponsors and external suppliers to ensure a successful event.
• Young Professional Industry Engagement event programme - To plan, organise and deliver the annual three-week programme of CPD visits for a selected group of participants to industry hosts across the UK. Working with participants and over 20 organisations to schedule and deliver the programme.
• Furniture Making T-Level conference – Working with the Chair of the Education and Training Committee and selected members to plan, organise and implement a one-day conference on the practicalities of overing the Furniture T-Level in an educational setting.
• Organise and attend several regional career fairs and trade shows to promote the education and training initiatives and encourage young people to consider a career in furniture and furnishings.
• Plan and organise the content of an Education and Training slot at the annual Furniture Makers’ HR Conference to highlight key events and programmes.
• Ensure that equality, diversity and inclusion is considered in all aspects of Education and Training events.

Grants

• Administer a small annual grants scheme supporting colleges and universities which provide specialist furniture and furnishing education courses.
• Manage a travel bursary scheme to support exhibitors attending the Young Furniture Makers Exhibition.

Website

• Administer the jobs board featured on the My Furniture Career website, screening and approving posted vacancies as well as liaising with those posting jobs to confirm the status of the vacancy, sharing data once the vacancy expires and collecting feedback data from the poster.
• To work with the Digital Officer to agree a schedule of content for the website and its associated social media.
• Work with the Communications Manager and Digital Officer to promote the use of the website by the targeted audience group as well as the HR community to post vacancies to the jobs board.
• Produce a quarterly report detailing the usage and any highlights regarding the website.
• Report any technical issues to the website provider and liaise with them to fix the issue.

Reporting

• Quarterly reporting on activity and budget to the Education and Training Committee.
• Supporting the Committee Chair by setting up Committee meetings and taking minutes.
• Supporting the Committee Chair with any other administration as necessary related to the Committee. 
• Assist with any ad hoc administration as necessary related to the FIESTA Committee.

Miscellaneous

• Assisting the Education and Training Committee Chair with any administration in regard to the Masters Certificate Scheme.
• Send quarterly feedback surveys mentoring participants and collect the data for reporting purposes.
• Work with the Communications and Marketing Manager to promote Education and Training events.
• Keep the Education and Training budget up to date and process all invoices in a timely manner.
• Report back to all event sponsors after any Education and Training sponsored event to keep sponsors updated and aware of the events successes.

Role: CRM & Systems Administrator
Reporting to: Project Manager, Director’s Office
Purpose of job: To work with the Partnerships and Philanthropy/Fundraising, Finance and across all Foundling Museum teams by providing excellent CRM & systems administration. The position of CRM & Systems Administrator sits at the heart of this continued transition, following the successful implementation and migration to Shopify, Xero & Beacon CRM in 2023.
This new role is essential to the success of Philanthropy and Partnerships, Director’s Office and the whole team, in providing effective research and administration support. The CRM & Systems Administrator will provide support across all fundraising areas including individual giving, corporate sponsorship and trusts and foundations as well as playing a vital role in keeping all Museum systems working effectively.
This includes processing donations and gift aid and maintaining records on the CRM. You will work as a key part of the Philanthropy and Partnerships team to help implement the Philanthropy and Partnerships strategy and streamline all CRM and supporter processes.

Key responsibilities:
CRM Administration & Finance Processes

• Maintain and regularly update the CRM system by logging all applications made and pending, prospects, funding received, reporting deadlines, reports, thank you letters and all other supporter correspondence
• Process donations, pledges and ticket payments from individuals, organisations and trusts and foundations, ensuring gift acknowledgements on CRM are up-to-date and any information related to gifts, grants and donations received is captured accurately and consistently
• Day-to-day administration of the Museum’s Friends, patrons and corporate sponsorship schemes and 1700 Clubs, as directed by the Philanthropy and Partnerships team
• Support the maintenance of accurate financial records of funded projects
• Support the Finance team with Gift Aid administration as required

Data & Insights

• Assist in data capture and gathering, including statistics or insight to support reporting, business cases, reports and funding bids
• Research trusts, businesses, and individuals with a view to identifying potential supporters and maintaining an up-to-date and accurate records of such contacts, updating the team, CRM and prospect pipelines on changes to information
• Ensure that strict confidentiality and GDPR legislation and guidance is adhered to in all aspects of recording data and sharing information in research profiles
• Work with internal teams to appropriately segment and steward new contacts through the CRM, including making data selections for email marketing campaigns.
• Monitor data quality by regularly creating and executing processes to cleanse and standardise data in the CRM
• Help to ensure income from visitors is maximised via Goodbox, Beacon, on-site signage and communications etc, and, with support from the Visitor Engagement, Commercial & Operations & Communications teams, move every customer on to their next step of supporter journey, evaluating touch points and messaging both onsite and online

Organisational Infrastructure

• Schedule priority internal meetings, including all-staff meetings, diary meetings and training sessions
• Support Project Manager: Director’s Office with Leadership & Governance, including setting up and scheduling of Trustee meetings, ensuring hybrid options are delivered, catering etc
• Arrange staff away-days, outings and celebrations
• Deliver general administrative support to SMT and colleagues as required, including basic IT support and HR admin, as directed by the HR Manager
• Manage the ordering of office items, including stationary and support users with IT inductions, including DSE requirements and checklists
• Work the Project Manager: Director’s Office, and with all departments to understand and map requirements for an integrated digital infrastructure framework
• Work with all departments to ensure that digital assets are stored according to data retention and records management best practice guidelines
• Work with the Director of Commercial & Operations, the IT Working Group and IT Support contract via Cara Networks to support the smooth migration of data currently stored on shared physical drives, to SharePoint and other digital platforms, through a phased transition process
• Facilitate the use, internal awareness and confidence with digital systems, creating and managing logins and taking responsibility for suspending user accounts when staff leave

Other

• To perform any other tasks as reasonably requested by the Directors, Project Manager: Director’s Office and Philanthropy and Partnerships team.

Person specification
Essential:

• Excellent administration and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in writing, over the phone, and face-to-face with the Museum’s different stakeholders
• Experience working with not-for-profit databases, such as Beacon CRM
• The ability to also work independently and take initiative within a small team and support colleagues, even under pressure
• Proven, excellent organisational skills, with close attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and prioritise responsibilities
• Excellent IT skills including in depth knowledge of CRM, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and other cloud based digital systems
• An enjoyment of and willingness to engage with a wide variety of people and organisations
• Able to act with discretion and maintain professional confidentiality at all times
• A commitment to excellence and professionalism

What you do  

Main purpose of post 

To build a high-performing fundraising team to drive and stabilise significantly increased fundraising performance across a range of income streams. The post holder will lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising strategy to successfully deliver Weston Park Cancer Charity’s vision. 

You will be instrumental in the development and delivery of a major 5 year charity appeal.  The appeal will raise the funds to enable a step change in our support of Weston Park Cancer Centre and the impact we have for people affected by Cancer in our region. The appeal forms the basis of the charity’s overall 5 year fundraising strategy.

Appeal Structure & Accountability:

Key Responsibilities 

Leadership

· Champion fundraising across the organisation.

· Be an inspiring ambassador for Weston Park Cancer Charity and ensure this is reflected in the strategies, outputs, and behaviour of the fundraising team.

· Actively contribute to leading Weston Park Cancer Charity as a member of the Leadership Team.

· Work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure that appropriate processes and systems are in place across the organisation, including delivery against KPIs.

· Attend and actively participate in relevant Board Committee meetings providing updates, necessary reports, and feedback on the charity’s fundraising.

· Lead cross-organisational projects in line with organisational strategy and direction.

· Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the organisation at all levels, adopting and encouraging a collaborative working approach.

· Keep abreast of, understand, clarify, and implement new or changes in relevant thinking and legislation, especially those directly affecting fundraising.

· Monitor and manage risk in accordance with the charity’s risk management policy.

Fundraising

· Lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising strategy across a range of income streams to successfully deliver the charity’s vision

· Collaborate with the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Development to deliver the public phase of a 5 year major fundraising appeal

· Build and inspire a high-performing and results-oriented Fundraising Team focused on delivering sustainable income to maintain and build on recent organisational growth.

· Ensure that fundraising is supported by appropriate business/activity plans, and sound financial plans and budgets; and that performance is regularly monitored and evaluated against plans and budgets.

· Set, monitor, and deliver annual income and expenditure targets.

· Foster a culture of ambition and innovation and support the team to research, develop, and implement new fundraising approaches to recruit new donor groups across all income streams.

· Drive change and implement new ways of working across fundraising and the wider organisation in support of fundraising effectiveness.

· Manage relationships with key supporters and stakeholders and attend meetings and networking events to unlock new opportunities.

· Strengthen and build on existing supporter relationships, ensuring that all supporters receive a first-class experience.

· Support the team to develop professional and engaging fundraising materials including fundraising propositions, applications, proposals, appeals, pitches, and reports.

· Take overall responsibility for fundraising compliance and ensure that in all relevant areas, the charity complies with the law, regulation, and stakeholder and contractual obligations with third parties.

· Collaborate with the Data Manager to maintain oversight of the supporter database to ensure integrity, legal compliance, and generation of appropriate insight to support delivery of income growth.·  

Fundraising Development

· Work with the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Development, external advisor(s), commissioned agencies and the appeal committee to deliver a multi-year major fundraising appeal

· Work with the Legacy and In Memory Fundraising Manger to deliver and implement a legacy pipeline and growth in In-Memory giving income

· Work with the Individual Giving Fundraising Manager to deliver and implement a strategy which prioritises both the retention and acquisition of new donors, enhances the use of digital products, platforms, and channels and delivers the highest standard of supporter care and donor stewardship.

· Lead on the introduction of a charity lottery.

· Work with relevant colleagues to deliver a new strategy and plan which prioritises deepening and strengthening existing relationships and building a strong pipeline of new prospects to deliver multi-year funding from major donors, high profile supporters, trusts, foundations, and companies.

· Support the Data Manager with the adoption and use of Raisers Edge NXT CRM to effectively support data-driven decision making and relationship management to generate supporter insights in support of increased fundraising.

Brand and Marketing

· Working in collaboration with the Deputy CEO, Marketing Manager and external agencies in the development and delivery of an integrated marketing and communications strategy that is driven by audience insight.

· Foster a strong working relationship between the fundraising and marketing team to inspire high-performance and results-oriented marketing to build a community of supporters by delivering a seamless supporter journey that promotes the charity’s work and delivers greater income generation.

· Empower the fundraising team to successfully deploy our brand.

· Work in partnership with the Marketing Manager to ensure content is up to date, factually accurate and to manage reputational risk.·  

People Management

· Create a high-performing team that is ambitious and passionate about Weston Park Cancer Charity’s vision.

· Provide line management to direct reports, setting, and monitoring individual performance objectives and motivating the team to be innovative and professional in its thinking and delivery.

· Ensure all fundraising staff receive consistent and motivating direction and feedback to enable them to work to the best of their ability.
