About the role

We are a dynamic, innovative and values-led organisation, with the opportunity and flexibility to develop our services to meet the needs of the people we work with. As part of our commitment to end the homelessness of more people using our direct services, including people with complex needs, we are seeking a Practitioner Psychologist or Psychological Therapist to work across our Edinburgh Skylight service.

You will join an extraordinary team of frontline lead workers with a focus on people facing homelessness who have survived a range of difficult and traumatic experiences. 

Hours: Full time (35 hours) or Part time (min. 21 hours)

We are looking for people who are community focused and driven by shared values. You will look forward to engaging with individuals who have very difficult lives and have struggled to access traditional forms of support. You will have the skills to offer creative and flexible individual work, alongside consultation and reflective practice to core groups, multi-agency networks and the wider system. You will be excited about joining a local team of people who share a commitment to end homelessness and a national team of psychologists led by a Lead Psychologist.

We are looking for a part time Intervention Worker to join our Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme Service – the Your Choice Project (voluntary perpetrator programme). 

Our Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme Service aligns with the Respect Standards – a framework for safe, effective, and survivor-focused work with perpetrators of domestic abuse in the UK.  Due to specific requirements of the role (in line with Respect Standard B6) we are looking to recruit a male candidate to this post. 

The Intervention Worker will be responsible for delivering sessions (group and one to one as may be required) with people who recognise that they are or have been using power and control to abuse their partner, ex-partner or family member and who want to address this behaviour.  The Intervention Worker will undertake such sessions in a way that prioritises the safety of those at risk from domestic violence and abuse.

We are looking for someone who has experience of providing group work and/or one to one counselling and an understanding of: 

• Domestic violence and abuse and its effects on survivors 

• Why some people use abusive behaviours in relationships 

• The range of models used in addressing abusive behaviour 

• Safeguarding procedures in relation to children and vulnerable adults.

CYP Psychotherapist/Counsellor

Based in Hendon

Salary – £28,719.14 FTE (only term time – 45 weeks per year) or £33,186.56 FTE (full year – 52 weeks per year) 

Norwood are looking for a CYP Psychotherapist/Counsellor to provide therapeutic support to children/young people exhibiting emotional and/or behavioural problems or who are at risk of developing such problems.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• To provide individual therapy/counselling sessions, supporting pupils where there are concerns about their emotional wellbeing. Group interventions may also be delivered, depending on the needs of the centre/school. 
• To manage your own case load, taking referrals from the team senior or school Senco. To assist in assessing children’s needs and advise parents and/or staff on strategies to support children experiencing difficulties. To work with other Norwood services to support vulnerable families. 
• To demonstrate a range of therapeutic skills/techniques in order to work creatively and effectively with children/young people. 
• To undertake consultations with parents including review meetings. 
• To develop effective working relationships with teachers and support staff as well as parents/carers and other professionals. This may include attending relevant staff meetings and consultations as necessary (if the work is in school). 
• To undertake clinical supervision in accordance with BACP guidelines and participate in regular line management meetings. 
• To attend continuing professional development training as required. 
• To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of child protection issues and put this into practice, attending training as required. 
• To keep accurate client records and provide statistical/ monitoring information. 
• Write reports as required. 
• To liaise with and support referrals to other relevant bodies, such as local authority, health visitors, social care, CAMHS, and other agencies when appropriate. 
• To attend case conferences / planning/strategy/pastoral support meetings when appropriate and provide written reports as required. 
• To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding legislation and guidance and put this into practice.

This role requires the development of a trusts, grants and foundations pipeline, from research through to reporting, ensuring a sustainable and maximised income stream.

My client is a leading and pioneering UK health charity. From education to prevention, support and counselling to political campaigning, they deliver a wide range of services to people across the country.

Currently in the middle of a major transformation programme, they are keen to secure some additional resource for the busy finance team that can lead them through year end.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of year end statutory accounts – financial reporting and analysis, trial balance, P&L and balance sheet.

New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. The Services Manager (Day Centre) is a brand new role for the organisation. They will work as part of the existing Youth Work Team to provide vital additional capacity and expertise to respond to the significantly increased demand we have been experiencing. This role is primarily focused on delivering our frontline day centre service each week. You will spend around 2-3 days per week frontline as our Duty Manager ensuring the smooth running of the day centre. You’ll also be responsible for coordinating our weekly rota, line managing the team, overseeing our Locums, Students and Volunteers programme, supporting with donations and day centre stock, and delivering staff training . You should be passionate about supporting young people who are unsafe or facing homelessness, be able to motivate a multi-disciplinary team of staff and have the energy to problem solve in a fast-paced environment on a daily basis.

About this exciting opportunity
The focus of this key role will be to manage the data team to support colleagues across one or more contracts awarded by the HMPPS to deliver Finance Benefit and Debt (FBD) in Wales. We will expect you to monitor and manage the receipt of referrals from Probation through the Customer Approved System (CAS) and the CAS itself to ensure all inputting is accurate and within agreed timescales, providing regular activity reports to the FBD Contract Manager.

We will also rely on you to be the primary point of contact for all enquiries, both external and internal, to ensure communication channels are clear and effective, while also liaising closely with external stakeholders, delivery partners, spot purchase providers and other agencies to arrange appointments, referrals, and generally ensure information exchanged is done in a clear, timely and effective manner.  Developing and maintaining processes for recording and monitoring resource allocation and positively representing the St Giles Wise partnership in all external meetings, including conferences, seminars, and other events are also vital elements of this role.

• Experience of working in services which provide support to people who have faced adversity and disadvantage
• A sound understanding of the barriers faced by people with complex and multiple needs 
• Understanding of Trauma Informed practice and how to apply it in supporting service users

Our client has an opportunity for a Community Support Worker to support their homeless clients and identify their needs, through active listening and working with each individual on a one-to-one basis.

In this varied role, no two days will be the same, as you provide advice on housing, welfare benefits, rent deposits and household goods, liaising with housing providers to prevent homelessness and assisting with the practicalities of moving to new accommodation. You’ll be on-hand to be a key contact for your clients when they are experiencing difficulties and encourage the development of skills such as budgeting and cooking to help them take control of their lives. You will work with colleges, training agencies and employers to help the client have access to training, education, employment or to maintain their benefit entitlement

About you 

They are looking for an empathetic, and supportive individual with an interest and genuine passion for wanting to work with vulnerable people in the homeless sector. You will have clear verbal and written English skills along with experience working in a client/customer facing role. Above all, you will be committed to making a positive impact in someone’s life and making changes to the community.  Previous experience in this type of work is not essential, as full training will be provided, but your values will match ours; you will be committed to helping others and enjoy the real job satisfaction that this brings.

A full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role due to the travel involved.

Our Head of Finance role provides a great opportunity for someone to lead on the strategic and operational financial management of the charity. This is a key role in our Senior Leadership Team, and you’ll be joining at a great time, early in the delivery of our exciting new strategy. Your Role

You will be responsible for No Limits’ finances, leading on strategic and operational financial management of the charity and preparing and analysing information relating to financial planning. You will have oversight of the finance team, leading No Limits to be a sustainable and efficient organisation.

As part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will make an active contribution to the strategic direction, planning and leadership of No Limits in collaboration with the wider team. You’ll be a role model for our values and ensure the needs of children and young people are at the heart of everything we do.

There may be opportunity to provide strategic leadership oversight to our wider organisational infrastructure functions including IT, Business Support, Fundraising and Communications.

You’ll have the essentials of: 

• qualified accountant (CIMA / CIPFA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent) – consideration may be given to part-qualified with relevant experience
• Strategic and operational financial management experience, including; financial process, income and expenditure management, reporting, year-end, audit, statutory and management account production, establishing and monitoring effective financial controls
• An understanding of the charity environment and wider landscape
• Experience of costing projects with a full-cost recovery approach
• Ability to plan and prioritise own and others work to set deadlines, with good time management skills
• High level of IT competency to support your role, including the use of technology and Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and team working
• A commitment to personal growth, continuous development, and application of learning

You may also have:

• Up-to-date knowledge of charity SORP regulations and requirements (highly desirable)
• Experience of payroll and pensions
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop people
• A successful track record of working with a Trustee Board or a leadership team
• Lived experience of one or more areas that No Limits support children and young people

About the role:

We looking to appoint a Family Support Worker to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our North East Care Team.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager out of our North East Care team base and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.

Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand the processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact

What we’re looking for:

· An experienced child health, education or social care professional - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have worked in a community environment and those with a recognised qualification in education, health or social care

· A warm, inclusive approach to achieving goals quickly and correctly

· Practiced in child protection, information sharing and the rules around data protection - you lead by example, drawing on your own professional experience and working within established guidelines

· Practical and people-oriented - you will thrive working at a fast pace whilst maintaining accuracy and be a confident user of IT (including MSOffice)

· A persuasive and open communicator - you will work collaboratively with your team and volunteers to ensure delivery of a high-quality service and support fundraising colleagues by writing case studies and family updates
