Summary

A key member of the Strategy and Planning team, the Programme Manager (Impact Measurement) role will be responsible for embedding and managing Diabetes UK's impact measurement and reporting activities. This is a role that will work collaboratively and influence teams across Diabetes UK and will champion impact measurement. This role will contribute to continuous improvement in how Diabetes UK delivers its strategy to achieve outcomes for people living with and at risk of diabetes.

Main Responsibilities

You will work with colleagues at all levels to champion the use of learning gathered on impact across the charity and to enable the wide sharing of this learning.
As a Programme Manager (Impact Measurement) you will be able to work strategically and operationally to embed and introduce tools and methods for collecting, managing, analysing and reporting impact data.

You will also confidently be able to create written and verbal impact-focused reports demonstrating the impact of our strategic delivery both for senior leaders and for colleagues.

Ideal Candidate

As Programme Manager (Impact Measurement) you will manage a key organisational change programme to embed our impact measurement framework to supports the delivery of our strategy. You will develop an in-depth knowledge of our charity's strategic ambition and the opportunities to measure and evaluate the delivery of our work so that we continue to learn and improve as a charity, using this information to demonstrate our impact internally and externally, showing the difference our work is making to the lives of people with or at risk of diabetes You are highly IT literate and experienced at using reporting and evaluation tools and frameworks.

At Ambitious about Autism, we’re currently looking for a Research Manager to join our External Affairs team.

You’ll conduct and commission research projects, publish and disseminate research findings to ensure we are maximising our reach and impact, and ensure that we are using relevant and up-to-date evidence throughout our work.

You’ll identify key research needs and questions to continually improve our activities and impact for autistic children and young people, drafting briefs and managing independent researchers to deliver projects on time and to budget.

You’ll use both quantitative and qualitative research methods to develop and support co-produced research with autistic children and young people, as well as parents and carers, whilst ensuring that new evidence is embedded into our resources, working collaboratively with the policy, communications, fundraising and service delivery teams to ensure that we maximise the impact of our findings.

The successful candidate will be joining the organisation at an exciting time and this role will play a central role in providing an evidence base for us to influencing Government, as well as enable us to engage media and public attention to our calls for change. It will also look for ways to unlock insight and learning, so we can influence the practice of the wider education sector.

• Strong working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Proven experience of managing research projects or programmes within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to critique and summaries data and research findings to make recommendations.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex research evidence into forms that are accessible for a range of audiences.
• Ability to effectively prioritise a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

In April 2021 the Domestic Abuse Act received Royal Assent. The Act introduces a new civil Domestic Abuse Protection Notice (DAPN) to provide immediate protection following a domestic abuse incident, and a new civil Domestic Abuse Protection Order (DAPO) to provide flexible, longer-term protection for victims. DAPOs can impose both prohibitions and positive requirements on perpetrators. We were commissioned by the Home Office to design a triage model that will assess individuals for the suitability of these interventions; this triage model will be rolled out in the pilot sites which are going live in May 2024 and will be tested and evaluated in order to prepare for national roll out in 2026.The Programme Manager will oversee the roll out and delivery of the DAPO pilot Triage Model.

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit adoption agencies across the UK who specialise in finding homes for children in care. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the administration and delivery of the programme. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent. We are keen to have someone joiun us as soon as possible.

The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development to ensure that the courses are full, supported, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.

The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme Management

• Coordinate staff and implementing partners to ensure the timely completion of deliverables.

• Ensure compliance with donor/country agreements, regulations and requirements.
• Identify, track and manage programmatic risk.
• Ensure effective communication with partners, donors and other stakeholders.

Programme quality and design

Monitoring and Evaluation

• With support from the Research, Evidence and Learning team, oversee Monitoring and Evaluation processes for the programmes you lead, e.g. logframe and reporting mechanisms
• Lead the quarterly and annual reporting and analysis review process with institutional donors.
• Write project reports and programme reviews, and coordination of donor reporting as appropriate.
• Ensure grant holders have effective M&E plans in place and coordinate the review of their reports.
• Coordinate visits to project implementation sites for monitoring and audit purposes.
• Facilitate learning and sharing of good practices across programmes and the wider organisation.

Team Support and Line Management

• Line manage members of the Programmes Team (1-2 Programmes Coordinators).
• Oversee the contracting, payments and deliverables of in-country consultants and other suppliers.
• Lead the induction process for new Programmes Team members and other THET staff when required.
• Work with colleagues from across the team to identify areas for improvement and strengthening.

Miscellaneous

• Attend and present THET’s work at UK and international events, including the THET annual conference.
• Join your choice of THET’s and external thematic working groups, such as on gender equality and social inclusion, on the climate crisis, etc.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of THET and play a leadership role in the Programmes Team

Key Objectives for the Elders Core Service Manager Role:

Financial Management

• Manage the service budget and review monthly management accounts: Set budgets and ensure resources are maximised.
• Promote effective cost control mechanisms and other financial activities.
• Maintain financial management within the service.

Other

• Some of what else is included: Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Understanding and/or experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
• Experience of working with and engaging with diverse groups of people from varying backgrounds
• Previous experience in people management and development
• IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software.
• Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
• Understanding of Housing Management, including voids and evictions

Position Overview:

Be Free Campaign seeks a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to play a crucial role in managing and expanding our outreach programmes specifically focused on young people's mental health. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of these programmes, including delivery, volunteer recruitment, administrative tasks, contributing to fundraising efforts, and providing leadership and management.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

• Provide operational leadership, manage performance, maintain service quality, monitor operations, and develop staff.

• Represent the Be Free Campaign at a senior level with external partners.

• Support and assist in the delivery of the strategic direction for the organisation.

• Help ensure the sustainability and viability of current and future operations.

• Work as part of the Senior Leadership Team to develop, grow, and sustain the Be Free Campaign.

Programme Management:

• Support the development and implementation of our young people's mental health programmes.

• Assist with research and evaluation of existing programmes, identifying opportunities for expansion and improvement.

• Contribute to the development of new and innovative initiatives specifically targeting young people's mental health needs.

• Ensure high-quality and impactful delivery of the Be Free Campaign's young people's mental health programme.

• Achieve set targets for programme delivery.

Volunteer Management:

• Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies focused on attracting individuals passionate about young people's mental health.

• Facilitate volunteer training and onboarding specific to our young people's programmes.

• Coordinate volunteer activities and ensure their effective integration into our programmes.

Communications and Marketing:

• Develop engaging content for various channels (social media, website, newsletters) specifically targeting young people and raising awareness about mental health.

• Assist with the creation of marketing materials and campaigns focused on young people's mental health.

• Support public awareness initiatives related to young people's mental health.

Fundraising:

• Assist with the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to secure financial resources for the young people's mental health programmes.

• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors and grant-making bodies.

• Prepare grant proposals and reports.

• Assist with fundraising events and initiatives.

Impact Reporting:

• Compile and analyse data to create detailed impact reports for each young people's mental health programme delivered.

• Ensure accurate documentation and collection of evaluations and feedback from young participants.

Administrative Tasks:

• Undertake administrative duties necessary for the smooth operation of the young people's mental health programmes.

• Maintain accurate records, including programme schedules, volunteer details, and partnership information.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work, youth work) or equivalent work experience.

• Previous experience in programme management, preferably in a youth mental health or charity setting.

• Strong organisational and administrative skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Demonstrated experience in volunteer management.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Passion for young people's mental health and a commitment to making a positive impact.

The Access Foundation is focused on making a real difference to people’s lives by awarding grants to charities which make a valuable and measurable positive impact.  Our grant giving objectives fall into three categories: 

1. to mitigate the digital divide by making computing facilities, support and learning available to disadvantaged and vulnerable people

1. to advance the charitable causes of the registered charities which are chosen as the "Access Group Company Charities of the Year"

1. to advance the charitable causes of charities for whom there is a strong emotional connection with a member of staff (e.g. through support they or a close relative have received from the charity) 

The Foundation aims to achieve this via a fund from which it awards grants to other charitable organisations aligned with the principles above. You are a key member or the team that works towards our target to award grants to a total value of +/- £2 million each year.

The Access Foundation was set up in 2021 following the success and growth enjoyed by The Access Group over the previous decade. While affiliated with The Access Group in terms of its identity, The Access Foundation is a separate organisation, governed by an independent board of trustees and with its own objectives and goals. 

The Access Foundation wants to fund projects and activities that make a real difference to people’s lives in the countries the Access group is active.To achieve our objectives, we are looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to help run and improve our operational processes.

Job objectives 

• Support the trustees in the due diligence and evaluation of each applicant and facilitate the decision-making process for each application 

• Support the ongoing evaluation process of all successful applicants and ensure agreed measures and outcomes are reported back to the Foundation in a timely manner 

• Manage the external communication of the Foundation’s successes back to stakeholders and supporters, as well as other channels on social media, such as Instagram and LinkedIn 

• Manage the communication with the Access Group and maintain an open channel of communication with the charities team at the Access group 

• Manage the Admin and Grants Assistant and ensure all Admin processes as well as operational processes are running smoothly and make changes where required 

• Manage the use of the accounting package Access Financials to ensure processes are followed and grantees paid on time.

• Oversee the data collation for and write the impact report 

• Collaborate and work with the trustees and volunteers 

Duties and responsibilities will include 

• Write regular reports to the trustees of new applications, applications in progress and outcomes, inform and advise the trustees to achieve a swift decision on all cases 

• Organise the publicity and communications around each successful grant, including newsfeeds, social media and website updates. 

• Liase with the Access Marketing team to support their own comms 

• Ensure financial accounts are accurate and complete 

• Liase with 3rd parties such as external suppliers and partners ranging from auditors to our financial partners 

• Draft Offer letters for the successful applicants 

• Recruit, Manage and Appraise the Admin and Grant Assistant

• Attend trustees, volunteers and applications meetings 

• Manage the access controls for volunteers and staff 

• Oversee the financial accounts, approve invoices on our bespoke Finance system and deal with some financial accounting together with our Chair of the board of trustees 

Skills and Experience Required 

• Organised, efficient and reliable with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneous 

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role 

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels from junior to CEO 

• Computer literate with good knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook. 

• The ability to be an ambassador for the Foundation to all external parties and stakeholders 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

• Ability to travel to London as required (minimum once every 6 weeks) 

• Sympathy for grassroot charities 

• Experience of the charity sector 

The Women’s Centre Cornwall has grown from its early roots as a Rape Crisis Centre into an innovative, award-winning feminist organisation which provides a wide range of services for women and girls in our communities. Our work with survivors of sexual and domestic violence is our core specialism as we believe that there can be no real gender equality without a complete cessation of violence against women. In addition, we provide community-based activities across Cornwall and support women ex-offenders across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and HMP Eastwood Park in Gloucestershire.

 PURPOSE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Training Manager to oversee the planning, design, delivery, and evaluation of our annual training initiatives. Collaborating across teams, she will identify needs, develop programs, and ensure staff and volunteer development across the organisation. The role involves creating engaging materials, using innovative methods, and monitoring program effectiveness. Aligned with organisational goals, the Training Manager will foster a culture of learning and inclusion, contributing to a skilled and motivated team dedicated to advancing the Women’s Centre Cornwall’s mission of empowering and supporting women in the community. The successful candidate will also lead on developing a fully sustainable external training arm for the charity.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• To review all existing training, update material and improve the organisation-wide training provision.
• Designing, organising and promoting a range of high-quality courses for staff and volunteers across the organisation.
• To deliver and facilitate TWCC training programmes, both internally and externally.
• Line management and supervision of 2 Training Coordinators, motivating and supporting them to meet their objectives.
• Coordination of annual training schedule across the staff team.
• Work closely with Managers, staff and volunteers to develop and deliver training courses
• To deliver train-the-trainer training both internally and externally
• Develop a suite of external courses with income-generation potential

• Promotion and coordination of TWCC training with external organisations.
• Carry out a skills audit across the organisation to increase capacity and in-house specialist training  provision. 
• Undertake regular organisation-wide training needs analysis for our staff and volunteers to identify current and future training needs for the organisation.
