About the role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our small and dedicated team on a fixed term contract of 5 months, to be the first point of contact for our supporters and donors — helping to grow, inspire, and retain our community of givers.

In this role, you will:

• Engage and inspire supporters – be the first point of contact for donors, providing excellent supporter care and building lasting relationships.
• Deliver exceptional supporter journeys – manage and grow our community of regular donors through personalised communications that deepen engagement and improve retention.
• Drive individual giving growth – help meet revenue and retention goals by supporting donor acquisition campaigns and managing ongoing giving programmes.
• Create compelling content – craft inspiring copy for emails, web pages, and social media to attract and retain supporters.
• Deliver impactful fundraising campaigns – collaborate across UK and global teams to plan, launch, and evaluate digital fundraising initiatives.

Blackburn Cathedral is looking to appoint two fundraisers to work within a small, yet creative and motivated team. One post holder will focus on applications to trusts and foundations, the other on community, events and individual giving. 2026 marks a significant moment in the life of Blackburn Cathedral as we celebrate our Centenary. We have exciting plans to remember the past, celebrate the present and to work towards ensuring a legacy that lasts for the next century too. The Cathedral has secured funds from the Cathedral Sustainability Fund for two years to kick start a major period of fundraising activity and we are seeking a proactive fundraiser to help drive a number of unique, landmark, capital projects. Person Specification • The grants fundraiser will have strong relationship skills, the ability to communicate effectively (written and orally) with decision makers, delivering the case for support to a range of individuals and groups, with evidence of successful grant applications • You will be confident speaking to individuals at all levels, presenting the Centenary Campaign in different environments and deliver engaging pitches resulting in funds being raised • You will be willing to work in a team, gather data and write compelling fundraising applications to a range of trusts and foundations • You will have an eye for detail, the ability to capture important data and comply with Data Protection Regulations and fundraising best practice

Summary of the role:

The Income Generation Support Officer will provide day-to-day administrative departmental support and support to the department Director to ensure the successful delivery of the organisation’s operations in an efficient manner. This role will focus on generating reports, tracking progress, and ensuring all the necessary processes relating to compliance, finance and HR are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

About the Role:

1. Maintain and improve departmental filing systems to achieve maximum efficiency.
2. Prepare purchase orders and document payments according to Muslim Aid’s financial procedure and in conjunction with the Finance team to ensure speedy payment of invoices for internal / external stakeholders.
3. Undertake small-scale project work including researching, analysing and recommending next steps.
4. Provide support to the IGM management team in responding to correspondence, booking meetings, minute-taking, planning and supporting events, organising travel and preparing travel itineraries and relevant tasks as required.
5. Track Managers delivery of action points to ensure timeframes and outcomes are met, escalating to Head or Director of IGM for further action as appropriate.
6. Undertake full inbox and extensive diary management, ensuring an effective use of time and preparation of information in advance. Sort, redirect and action emails and review an effective ‘bring up’ system to brief and prepare the Director Income Generation and Marketing for meetings / events.

About the role

As our new Communications & Fundraising Coordinator, you will

As Fundraising Assistant at sister charities, ACCT UK and CCFA, you will play a key role in the growth of existing fundraising and in the creation of new income streams. The Role

The Development Assistant underpins the important work of the Development Department to raise funds from private funders, including individuals, trusts & foundations, corporate partners, and international funders. The Donor Support Officer plays a key role in supporting the Trust’s ambitions to grow and diversify its membership base. This includes providing efficient administration for individual and corporate donors, delivering high-quality customer service, and helping to strengthen member relationships through proactive engagement and milestone recognition. The role directly contributes to the success of the Trust’s urban nature conservation work by ensuring a positive and seamless experience for supporters.

 ·Provide administrative support for membership recruitment and fundraising campaigns such as upgrade campaigns, lead generation campaigns and fundraising appeals.

· Accurate data entry into the Trust’s CRM database, including communication records and changes to payment details, changes to Direct Debits information, gift aid declaration, contact information and marketing preferences. 

· Prepare contact lists of new members and lapsed members, to either complete or coordinate welcome/leaver calls as appropriate

· Provide professional and high-quality customer service when communicating with prospective or active member and donor enquiries including via telephone and by monitoring the membership and other inboxes.

· Complete membership renewal processes including the handling of payment by cheques, cash and credit/debit card payments.

· Collate and issue new member welcome letters, welcome packs and Direct Debit confirmation letters in a timely fashion.

· Issue written and / or oral ‘thank you’ communications to members and donors.

· Stock management of member magazine resources and place orders with suppliers.

· Raise purchase orders for commission-based membership recruitment and process clawback claims accordingly.

· Support with the co-ordination and administration of member-only events such as AGM.

· Comply with the Trusts’ Data Protection Policy and ensuring confidentiality of all donor data.

· Maintain awareness of trends in the fundraising sector – particularly membership.

About You

· Highly organised with excellent attention to detail 

· Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment 

· Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook 

· Strong communication skills and able to work independently 

· Experience in the charity sector is desirable

The Digital and Social Media Creative is responsible for developing and creating engaging digital content and for managing Sight Scotland’s social media channels.
