An exciting position has arisen for an initiative-taking, enthusiastic and well-organised individual to join the Charity team at Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. (Working title King George & Queens Hospital Charity)

This is a dual responsibility role, and the postholder will be at the heart of all charitable activities as part of the fundraising team. We are seeking excellent secretarial skills to assist the Head of Fundraising with essential governance paperwork, and a keen aptitude for database interrogation, as well as leading with the day to day administration for the charity team. The role will also allow your creativity to shine through, as we expect everyone in the team to work together on creating events and campaigns.

The postholder will be confident to line manage other team members, and highlight charity activity to the executive board via written committee papers, and face to face/Teams meetings. 
We are searching for an effective communicator able to converse at all levels across the organisation, and confident to attend both internal and community meetings to encourage charitable giving.

This is a pivotal role in our charity. You will have the responsibility for a range of financial income platforms which need to be accurately transcribed to the administrator, and the charity accountant

The Director of Fundraising and Engagement plays a crucial part in helping us achieve our vision that no family whose child has cancer, or a life-challenging condition should have to cope alone.  With an ambitious fundraising aim over the next 3 years, you will be leading a dedicated Fundraising and Engagement team to generate in excess of £1.2million income annually.

As a vital part of the Senior Management Team, you will report directly to the CEO. Your role involves leading the Fundraising and Engagement team, where you will develop and implement innovative fundraising and engagement ideas along with bringing a high level of enthusiasm. As a hands-on and creative fundraiser, your pivotal responsibility is to ensure Momentum’s income sustainability while fostering personal growth and development for our team members.

Role overview

§  Working with the team collaboratively, responsible for leading the implementation of the fundraising and engagement strategy, which seeks to build and improve existing income streams, accelerate the growth in under optimised and emerging income streams and invest in growth opportunities.

§  Build and maintain a portfolio of high value fundraising streams including legacy giving, major donors along with developing new strategy and approach for individual giving.

§  Develop and deliver Momentum’s annual income strategy to secure in excess of £1.2 million increasing to £1.5 million over the next 3 years.

§  Provide exemplary stewardship of our supporters, focussing on retention and development of supporter journeys.

§  Create opportunities to grow our unrestricted income and support our 3-year strategic plan.

§  Personally manage key trust, corporate and supporter relationships alongside CEO.

As the Institute’s Fundraising Manager you will play a pivotal role in securing the financial resources necessary to support the Institute’s strategic initiatives and operations, as well as maintaining the relationships and communities that drive long term funding. Key responsibilities & skills development opportunities: 

Fundraising Strategy and Implementation 

• Implement a robust fundraising strategy aligned with the Institute's mission and goals.

• Create and manage annual fundraising plans with clear targets and KPIs.

The Discover DeCrypt Trustees wish to appoint a self-employed fundraising consultant to undertake fundraising to achieve at a minimum the matched funding target (circa £92k) for submission of The National Lottery Heritage Fund Round 2 bid for The Sanctuary Project in St Mary de Crypt Church, Gloucester. The work will need to be carried out between July 2024 and July 2025 with all matched funding pledged by that end date and any surplus funding contributing to unrestricted reserves.

Introduction Discover DeCrypt undertook a major Heritage Fund project between Jan 2018 and March 2022. This capital project saw the reimagining of the church and adjoining Tudor schoolroom buildings. The project saw the Victorian pews removed (and repurposed), a lift (sympathetic to the buildings) installed, new toilet facilities, new heating system, new fire and intruder system, new lighting scheme and a new kitchen. Underfloor heating was installed within the nave and a new floor laid. The schoolroom was made safe and usable as it had reached the point where it was unsafe for the public to access. There was new interpretation in both the church and schoolroom.

An important aspect of this project was community outreach as the buildings sit within the city centre and had lost much of the original congregation and community. After the initial capital phase, three years of operational support was designed to help embed the charity within the community through volunteer recruitment, workshops, activities, concerts, art exhibitions and theatre. The church has also grown over this period, with regular services, weddings, funerals, and christenings.

The Sanctuary Project is the next phase of the Discover DeCrypt Story. It will see the conservation and interpretation of important Mediaeval and Tudor Wall paintings, Mediaeval stonework, and Victorian stained-glass windows. As well as the conservation work, the Sanctuary area and the elements within it will be researched and interpreted for the visitors to understand and enjoy. A very important part of this project is community engagement and audience development including giving students and the wider public access to conservation and heritage skills.

This role is funded by The National Heritage Lottery Fund thanks to National Lottery players.

EDUCATION FOR ALL MOROCCO transforms the lives of marginalised girls, in the High Atlas mountains, enabling them to fulfil their potential, reducing social injustice and inequalities, improving the quality of life for women, and their communities.

Prior to the Al Haouz earthquake in September 2023 EFA funded six boarding houses, enabling young women to access senior school education. Five boarding houses were destroyed. Astonishingly, no girls or staff were in them at the time.

We are unashamedly ambitious to build on EFAs transformational work over the last two decades. Our Covid Recovery Strategy focussed on widening our impact, and the earthquake has just made us even more determined to deliver on our promise, because we have never been more relevant.

Due to the extraordinary generosity of donors, we have funding in place to support a major rebuilding programme. However we don't want to simply rebuild. Due to covid and the earthquake there is a lot of catching up to do.

As Head of Fundraising & Communications you will work with the trustees to deliver the strategic vision, by developing and implementing a  successful fundraising and communications strategy.  A new website is under construction and the successful applicant will play a leading role in determining its fundraising functionality, content, and messaging.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fundraising Research & Stewardship Executive to join The London Clinic on a hybrid working model.

Job Profile

Your role will be to research and monitor a pipeline of prospects, and work with the team to update and steward current donors, also identify and research new prospects and community and corporate partners. You will also carry out research to support fundraisers to make informed decisions to engage, cultivate, and solicit gifts from prospects and peer to peer networks.

You’ll provide insights into new areas of prospecting to continually replenish the pipeline with high-capacity prospects in order to meet current and future income and community outreach targets. You will support the development of stewardship documents for donors, with related statistics and outcomes information and stories. This will include playing a role in managing our charity governance group internally.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent position - 37.5 hours per week.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - core hours 9am – 5.30pm.

Job Location: Park Square West, London, NW1 4LJ (Close to Regents Park/Baker St tube stations).

This role will oversee the organisation’s fundraising activity, building on good foundations and with a number of new activities in the pipeline to take our fundraising into the next phase. This role will be responsible for continuing the development and growth of a sustainable income generation pipeline from charitable Trusts and Foundations as well as other income streams, in order to meet the organisation’s grant making objectives. Income generation is a top priority for the Charity, ensuring we can fund as much sight-saving research as possible. The post holder will have a strong background in Trust and Foundation fundraising, but also bring experience in building new income streams and knowledge of various types of individual giving, as well as some prospect research expertise to help the organisation grow its network of potential supporters.
