We are now recruiting for a new role of Advocacy and External Relations Manager reflecting our ambitions to use our voice and expertise to ensure children and young people without, or at risk of losing, parental care around the world are more visible, better supported and their rights protected.
This exciting and strategically important new role is pivotal in helping SOS Children’s Villages UK achieve our advocacy objectives as part of our new 2025-2030 strategy. A confident and proactive advocacy professional, the Advocacy and External Relations Manager will plan and carry out a broad range of activities, identifying and pursuing opportunities to further our advocacy aims.
This individual will:
- develop both internal (SOS Children’s Villages Federation) and external peer and UK government relationships
- engage in relevant spaces to ensure that the needs of children and young people without parental care are reflected, and that SOS Children's Villages’ profile and reputation is enhanced.
- devise and lead advocacy campaigns and create persuasive and engaging advocacy content and materials.
- work alongside two other new colleagues, as a key part of delivering a new knowledge ‘Hub’.
- help to develop new partnerships and relationships, and use the insights and evidence gained through the ‘Hub’ to craft advocacy recommendations, connecting with policy makers and other relevant stakeholders, to influence changes to policies and approaches around the protection of children.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual, who combines exceptional networking and relationship-building skills with strong organisational ability, and deep knowledge of the UK political landscape and advocacy tactics and approaches, ideally within an international development setting.

About the role
The Natural History Museum is seeking a proactive and self-starting, ambitious, driven, creative and forward-thinking Internal Communications Manager to support its 1100 members of staff, across three sites. This role is responsible for developing and overseeing the delivery of the Museum’s internal communications strategy.
You will relish seeking out (and prioritising!) the vast amounts of news within the organisation – creating engaging content that resonates with colleagues. With a creative, inclusive and strategic approach to delivering engaging employee communications, you will ensure the Museum adopts best practice. You will be encouraged to explore and share new innovations in internal communications.
This role has a broad remit to develop and manage internal communications for the Museum that informs and celebrates the varied work of colleagues from creating temporary exhibitions, delivering world-famous visitor events and leading the transformation of the Museum’s galleries, to the ground-breaking research conducted by our 350 scientists.
Supporting a wide range of internal communications activities, this role will inform, engage and motivate colleagues about the Museum’s vision and mission and all the vital work the Museum is undertaking to create advocates for the planet.
You will have a proven track record of developing and delivering impactful communications strategies that incorporate in-person and online events and digital communications which are effective throughout a multi-site organisation.
About you
A talented self-starter, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to establish good working relationships quickly. You will be a creative storyteller with good attention to detail, accustomed to working proactively with a breadth of stakeholders to develop compelling narratives and impactful communications.
With proven experience managing a breadth of Internal Communications channels and in-person and hybrid events, you must be comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, varied environment. You will have experience managing crisis communications.
You will play a key role in advising colleagues, including the Executive Board, on Internal Communications and in supporting the development and maintenance of Internal Communications channels.

Job Purpose
Oceana is looking for a talented and motivated campaign officer to join our team at a critical and exciting moment for our campaigns. The position can be based in Oceana’s UK flexible workspaces in Cornwall or London. Regular travel may be required to meet team members and stakeholders in geographically diverse locations.
The role will support our campaign lead to deliver measurable progress to ensure the UK’s Marine Protected Areas are fully protected from heavy industry such as industrial bottom trawling and dredging. You will also be focused on delivering campaign actions aimed at ending overfishing, once and for all. You will help Oceana embed its role as a leading marine organisation in the marine NGO space in the UK, and drive forward bold campaign actions that inspire meaningful and long-lasting change.
Eligible candidates should have some experience in campaigning and communications, but we’re equally looking for passion, motivation and a drive to protect the ocean. You should be a self-starter, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a small but growing team.
Role Overview
Ø Support the delivery of Oceana’s campaigns on Habitats and Overfishing, working with the relevant campaign lead and other colleagues.
Ø Gather evidence and insights to support lobbying and campaign actions, and public mobilisation.
Ø Manage specific projects within our Habitats and Overfishing campaigns, and draft campaign letters, materials and briefings as directed by the Campaign Lead.
Ø Commission and manage consultants to produce creative campaigning outputs, working closely with the rest of the team.
Ø Work closely with the UK Communications team at Oceana to ensure that all campaign communications are in line with Oceana’s brand, campaign goals, science, and evidence.
Ø Actively participate in key policy and campaign events to defend and advance Oceana campaign goals.
Ø Build strong external relationships and represent Oceana to ensure we advance our goals with a wide range of stakeholders, from the general public to politicians.
Ø Represent Oceana externally in relevant networks, with partners and in the media as needed.
Ø Regularly monitor campaign progress in line with agreed KPIs and contribute to wider organisational monitoring and evaluation processes as required.
Ø Contribute to annual internal campaign planning cycle.

Candidate Requirements
Education and work experience:
Ø At least two years of professional experience in campaigning.

About the Role
As a member of the User Engagement team, your role will be integral to supporting and enhancing the University's CRM system for development and alumni engagement. Key responsibilities include:

The Partnership Development Team is comprised of partnership experts across a portfolio of institutional partners. The team seeks to deliver exceptional global partnerships, optimising both funding and influence. The team works closely with colleagues from across the Global Programmes and Policy, Advocacy & Campaigns Division, other Save the Children members and with Save the Children International (SCI) country and regional teams to deliver on our partnership objectives. The team is at the forefront of driving the institutional partnership agenda and approach for both Save the Children UK (SCUK) and the Save the Children global movement, ensuring Save the Children is the partner of choice.
About the role
As the Account Project Manager, you will contribute to and effectively support our global programme partnerships work, to achieve Save the Children's strategic objectives.
The focus of the role will be to influence a complex network of internal stakeholders to develop strategic movement-wide solutions that respond to systemic operational challenges faced by the UN Accounts.
You will ensure effective knowledge management and capacity building for the UN Agency accounts where SCUK is the lead Account Member – including funded programmes, pipeline and influencing work. You will also contribute to the development of the wider partnership agenda with other multilateral partners that the three UN agencies work with.
In this role, you will:
• Ensure a broad-ranging and inclusive partnership. This includes:
• Contributing to the implementation of SCUK's partnerships strategy to nurture effective partnerships.
• Supporting the organisation to continually build strategic understanding of partner and any evolving trends that may impact the relationship.
• Secure support and buy-in of colleagues from across the organisation to contribute to our engagement with the UN.
• Collaborating with team members to develop and embed our partnership and account management approach, to maximise the benefit of the team's work to the wider organisation and movement.
• Ensure increased quality and consistency in the design, delivery and reporting of all projects/awards across the UN account and SCI. This includes:
• Working closely with the Donor Compliance team to identify risks, mitigating measures and setting adequate monitoring mechanisms to support wider award management processes.
• Developing common standard approaches to quality and compliance across the account. Ensuring partner regulations and expectations are well understood among parties involved.

About you

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will have the opportunity to lead processes and activities in support of the design and delivery of the UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub’s (UKHIH) global communications and engagement strategy under the direction and guidance of the UKHIH Director.

About the Role:
As Event Manager, you will take charge of delivering the 2025 global peacebuilding gathering in Kenya. You will lead the planning, coordination, and logistics of this high-profile event, managing a budget exceeding $250k and ensuring smooth execution. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will oversee everything from travel arrangements to liaising with peacebuilders, suppliers, and donors. You’ll be supported by two Event Assistants, with whom you’ll manage every detail, ensuring the success of the gathering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver a large-scale international event
- Manage a complex budget and negotiate contracts with suppliers
- Supervise event logistics, including travel arrangements for over 100 participants
- Liaise with event management companies, peacebuilders, and stakeholders
- Line manage two Event Assistants and oversee volunteers
About You:
You will be a skilled Event Manager with a minimum of three years’ experience in managing large international events. You will need to excel under pressure and have proven experience in managing teams, budgets, and logistics. Strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, are essential. You will also have experience with project management tools like Asana and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be willing to travel overseas.
Essential Experience:
- Significant professional experience of managing large events (particularly on an international level)
- Proven budget management skills for projects over $250k
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Line management experience
- Fluency in written and spoken English, with excellent writing skills
Desirable:
- Experience in the peacebuilding, human rights, or international development sectors
- Proficiency in French, Arabic, or Spanish
