Join Look Ahead as a Service Manager for Bracknell Young People, where you'll oversee innovative 24 hour supported accommodation for young people aged 16-25 . You will oversee four projects and diverse teams within the Bracknell Forest Council area.

As a Service Manager, you will lead and inspire front-line staff, fostering leadership and competence development within your team. Your operational excellence will ensure effective management of all projects, maintaining high standards in service delivery. You will be responsible for upholding regulatory responsibilities (OFSTED), ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our customers, and driving continuous improvement through quality assurance.

In this role, you will actively listen to and engage with young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met. Developing and maintaining essential external partnerships will be key to providing a robust support structure for our customers.

You should be adept at comprehending and implementing policies and procedures to benefit both customers and the organisation. What you'll do:

- Drive business planning activities within your contract, ensuring relevant and challenging objective setting and ongoing performance tracking, developing turn around action plans as may be necessary
* Using sound financial and accounting principles, manage contract budgets to deliver on corporate and local contract financial targets
* Successfully lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service
* Work to continuously improve staff competence, ensure ownership of all staff issues and speedy and effective conflict resolution
* Responsible for reporting all staff changes to HR and Payroll departments, as appropriate e.g. starters, leavers, additional hours etc.
* Responsible for maintaining quarterly staff succession plans
* Deliver effective, professional and commercially focused briefings and supervision meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting & communications flow up/down is effective
* Responsible for managing and allocating customers to support staff (casework management)
* Develop key business relationships with all relevant customers/external parties to ensure service delivery excellence and maximise new business opportunities in own patch
* Plan, organise and prioritise operations within your contract to ensure maximum efficiencies/utilisation of all resources
* Working with your team lead creative and ambitious customer involvement plans across the patch and ensure successful implementation
* Where appropriate to role, carry client group specialism activities, linking in with other Managers and Heads of Operations to ensure focussed integration of specialisms across the whole organisation
* Lead quality visits, using Look Ahead's local indicators to monitor quality/performance, set targets and lead action plans to ensure highly rated services that reflect requirements of local funders and local and national standards
* Responsible for producing and submitting Monthly Management Reports to the Performance team, ensuring that all data gathered on local KPI's are accurate and up to date
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across contract portfolio ensuring Look Ahead continues to set and achieves sector best practice standards and is held as a benchmark to competitors
* Develop and maintain excellent internal management relationships with all other Look Ahead departments and functions, ensuring sharing of best practice and supporting initiatives to improve organisational performance

What the job involves 

We have an exciting opportunity to join our sector-leading Community Fundraising team as a Community Fundraising Executive.

We’re an ambitious charity with a bold mission and fantastic culture. As a key member of the Community Fundraising team, you’ll work alongside the Community Fundraising Managers, Executives and Co-ordinators to achieve the exciting growth plans in our new 3-year fundraising strategy.

You’ll bring excellent organisational skills and experience of planning and managing projects with multiple stakeholders, making sure we hit our KPIs and maximise fundraising income. • Advanced spreadsheet skills, comfortable with data extraction, analysis, and presentation.
• Proficient user of financial accounting and banking software.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workloads for self and team to meet deadlines.

As CFG's Policy Officer you will make an impactful contribution to CFG's policy and advocacy work. Working with a wide range of stakeholders, including policy-makers, charity members and corporate partners, you will contribute to the smooth running of the Policy Team's work and effectiveness. You will be comfortable using your research and analytical skills to ensure CFG remains at the forefront of its advocacy work on behalf of its members and the wider sector. You will have a passion for getting to grips with complex policy issues and bringing people together to engage with them. As a member of the Policy and Communications Directorate, you'll work alongside the Communications Team and other colleagues to ensure our policy work is shared with a range of external audiences. We are seeking a Network Support Lead (London & South East) to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering Doorstep Sport offers and support for the network of Locally Trusted Organisations based in the region who support young people from low-income communities to be (more) physically active.

The role involves:

• Working closely with the Network Support Team and the London & South East Place Team to implement regional plans, which ensure that projects, offers and support to Locally Trusted Organisations (LTOs) are effective
• Overseeing and directly delivering a range of workshops and courses, creating and maintaining a safe, supportive, interactive and enjoyable learning environment in all delivery
• Delivering support to the workforce within Doorstep Sport beyond the workshop environment through CPD groups, bite-size learning and other opportunities for improving practice
• Co-ordinating the gathering of monitoring and evaluation information for funder reports, in relation to outputs and outcomes of projects delivered across the region/nationally

JOB PURPOSE

You will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO, trustees and international colleagues to steward and cultivate key donor relationships and continue the development and implementation of the strategy to grow the major donor pipeline. As a Senior Manager, you will take ownership of the overall Major Donor Strategy, and budget and provide strategic insight into how we grow and improve our programme.

You will be confident in navigating complex environments with multiple stakeholders and in negotiating internally as well as externally, championing the major donor programme to ensure a strong enabling environment for the growth of the programme. You will enjoy developing strong relationships, have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and will be adept at managing donor and prospect pipelines as well as crafting compelling donor communications.

This role will be responsible for managing the Philanthropy Manager role and will provide support, mentorship and coaching to help the development of this role.

ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES

• Manage the philanthropy manager role through coaching, and by motivating and supporting them to reach their annual target.
• Build on a warm portfolio of donors to achieve current income targets and spot opportunities for growth and deeper development of philanthropic relationships
• Monitor and deliver annual philanthropy budgets and KPIs, assessing ongoing performance, proactively managing risks and providing accurate reporting.
• Own and drive the Major Donor strategy in collaboration with the Head of Philanthropy.
• Support on intermediary strategy and growth in this area.
• Work as part of the Philanthropy Team to grow opportunities within the major donor funding stream in line with UK4U’s fundraising strategy
• Lead on the growth and development of a robust prospect pipeline working with the corporate team, individual giving team, trustees, prospect research team, philanthropy team and other key stakeholders.
• Work with the wider international organisation to identify the most appropriate funding propositions for donors and also the internal technical experts and leadership colleagues who can help support and drive forward opportunities.
• Craft compelling propositions and proposals for major donors and ensure quality and timely reporting on donations made.
• Establish a strategic and tactical response to selected prospects and existing major donors in the event of humanitarian emergencies.
• Work independently and with the prospect researcher to gather up-to-date and accurate information on existing and prospective donors.
• Maintain accurate records on Salesforce, for income recording and earmarking.
• Work with the wider team to deliver bespoke activities including virtual and in-person events
• Support wider PPH strategic initiatives: helping identify and implement enablers to help the organisation secure and grow more multi-year partnerships, including at transformational levels.
• Help to position and raise awareness of UK4U’s role among peers, donors and other audiences by participating in sector networks and representing UK4U at events, as appropriate.
• Work within UK4U’s due diligence policy and GDPR policies and processes.
• Support the philanthropy team in other activities, as requested.

 PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

Essential Experience

• Experience of inputting into annual plans, multi-year budgets.
• Experience of working towards and monitoring and tracking KPI targets
• Experience of inputting to and implementing strategy
• Experience of growing prospect pipelines
• Experience of working in an income generating capacity with an NGO, INGO or university to identify, approach, secure and steward prospects and major donors giving or capable of giving over 5 to 7 figure gifts.
• Experience of developing donor care plans and delivering bespoke proposals and communications to generate income.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders (including CEO and Chair of Trustees)
• Strong experience of networking.
•  Must be comfortable working at pace and on multiple opportunities.

• Confident communicator with the ability to effectively influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders at senior levels.
• Strong understanding of the philanthropic environment within the UK
• Ability to analyse reports and communicate complex themes and subjects in an accessible and compelling manner in writing and verbally.
• Ability to act proactively to identify new and strategic fundraising opportunities.
• Good attention to detail, ability to proof-read.
• Able to demonstrate flexibility, with a willingness to respond quickly, particularly at times of humanitarian crisis.
• Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills.
• Proficient in using Word, excel, PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of fundraising databases.

• Knowledge of international development or related subjects helpful but not essential
