The Role

This is role will help develop and grow our income from Corporate Partnerships, Charitable Trusts and Foundations along with Individual Givers and Statutory Contracts. Working across both Love Your Neighbour and the Revitalise Trust to meet or exceed targets through exceptional research, events, networking, proposals and report writing. Collaborating with the wider team to contribute your skills to ensure the wider team targets are delivered successfully.
The Responsibilities
• Will contribute fully to the day-to-day operation of their team or area, with flexibility and without the need for close supervision.
• Using a good degree of proficiency and well - established professional knowledge, will analyse and help to find solutions to challenges and issues that arise.
• To deliver your fundraising target through the oversight and significant growth of your caseload of supporters. Using research, networking and your existing contacts to onboard new partners and create a 3 year pipeline of prospects enabling our income and support to underpin the organisation’s vision and mission.
• Deliver exceptional proposals, reports, engagement opportunities and updates in a timely manner using your knowledge and experience to champion our donor needs, develop effective comms to your accounts and work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the impact data, engagement opportunities, policies and stories are presented to win and renew funding, measured against financial targets, renewal % and average gift levels.
• Develop the customer experience for your caseload to world class standard. Review and enhance existing processes, engagement tools and materials to ensure they are contributing towards strong and sustained relationships with supporters. Ensure gifts and donor relationship information is accurately recorded, processed, thanked and reported on in a timely and confidential fashion using Raisers Edge and developing a strong relationship with the Giving Team and other internal stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively and accurately with other entity Fundraising Teams. Support and collaborate with wider fundraising opportunities and to attend all relevant fundraising team meetings to have a rounded understanding of what we are trying to achieve in our fundraising across the group.
• Responsible for keeping updated on relevant fundraising and volunteering best practice, regulations and opportunities. Ensuring you undertake the training offered to you, proactively seek out learning opportunities within the third sector and Christian or Corporate philanthropy networks.
• Other ad hoc projects as they arise. Including but not limited to working with our network to facilitate partnership opportunities with Churches and LYN Hubs, being willing to support with advice for developing their local fundraising. Attending and supporting donor events, ongoing research and improving team and wider working practices.
The Right Candidate
• A 3 year track record of demonstrable growth in income against targets.
• Experience of identifying and developing funding partnerships using research, networking and delivering timely proposals for funding and engagement with a high conversion rate.
• Able to accept responsibility for personal targets and demonstrate ability to contribute to wider team KPIs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to create effective communication for both Christian and secular audiences.
• A good working knowledge of MS Office and CRM Databases.
• Organised with an ability to prioritise and work effectively with multiple deadlines and projects.

We’re recruiting a Fundraising Resource Manager (High Value). This is a new role to take the lead and manage the operations and resource required to make Blue Cross high-value fundraising thrive!
More about the role
You will be joining our Philanthropy Team that's responsible for managing relationships with, and securing donations from, mid and major value individuals and trusts & foundations. The team has recently transitioned to a new team structure with a new set of ambitions and plans, and more formalised support across the organisation, at all levels, to enable the team to deliver.
As part of these changes, a new role of Fundraising Resource Manager (High Value) has been created, to lead on the operation and resource requirements of high value at Blue Cross, including:
- leading on the development of fundraising opportunities and propositions, including the management of funding opportunity information and case for support resource
- overseeing the delivery of high-quality prospect research and driving pipeline performance through delivery of prospecting plans and lead generation
- providing insight and performance information to help inform strategy, including the management of CRM, financial, and KPI reporting requirements
- operational delivery of team processes and the events and stewardship programme to support effect donor engagement
- management of a Fundraising Resource Officer, building an effective fundraising resource team for the future

- developing and maintaining processes for prospect identification, qualification, research, and tracking
- information management and interrogating and analysing data, to draw meaningful insights that support strong fundraising performance
- designing and producing a range of reports, ideally from a CRM as well as offline, to support and drive performance

How you will make a difference
As the Workplace Mental Health and Training Manager, I develop, deliver and manage mental health training and initiatives to support employers, employees and others, in creating mentally healthy workplaces and communities.
I create, and oversee the creation of, new and bespoke training, initiatives and contribute to the design, development and delivery of consultancy services, aligned with our other services.
I review our existing products and services for reliability, evidence-base, relevancy and effectiveness and apply or project-manage improvements.
I ensure the continued high-quality of delivery of our mental health training and initiatives to external audiences across both Rethink Mental Illness and Mental Health UK.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Significant experience of working closely with high-profile individuals and talent managers to deliver meaningful engagement.
- Previous experience of successfully creating and executing a strategy for enhancing a brand through engaging celebrities and high-profile individuals
- Experience of utilising audience insight and landscape awareness to identify suitable celebrities/influencers to enhance our brand development.
- Experience of working within the not-for-profit sector

About the Role
- Lead the implementation of a celebrity strategy and engagement plan to establish, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with high profile individuals
- Work with the Brand & Communications and Fundraising teams to proactively identify and grow relationships with talent that broadens our reach as a charity

- Review existing relationships with high profile supporters and assess where there are opportunities to leverage these relationships to help deliver St John strategic messages.
- Develop and participate in a network of counterparts at other charities to maintain a focus on continual improvement and innovation within this field in relation to high profile supporters and upskill St John People to spot opportunities for celebrity engagement.

Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.
East Midlands is filled with some of our most committed supporters and there is so much opportunity to grow our supporter base across the region. Our Social Workers support families from across the counties and our Home from Home 'Billy's House' in Nottingham enables families to stay close to their loved one for free during treatment, so building relationships with these teams is a must.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- To act as an MHI Designated Safeguarding Officer.
- Contribute to developing and reviewing MHI’s safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
- Alongside the DSO, contribute to ensuring that everyone working or volunteering with or for children and young people at MHI, including the board of trustees, understands the safeguarding and child protection policy and procedures and knows what to do if they have concerns about a child’s welfare
- Take a lead role in implementing MHI’s safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures: ensuring all safeguarding and child protection issues concerning children and young people who take part in MHI’s activities are responded to appropriately
- Take the lead on responding to information that may constitute a child protection concern, including a concern that an adult involved with MHI may present a risk to children or young people. This includes:
- assessing and clarifying the information
- calling in and recording all safeguarding issues as they arise.
- supporting and responding to staff who raise internal concerns as well as supporting those who make external safeguarding referrals to police or Adult / Children's Services
- making referrals to statutory organisations as appropriate
- consulting with and informing the relevant members of the organisation’s management
- following the organisation’s safeguarding policy and procedures
- Immediately referring cases to the Safeguarding Panel where there is a radicalisation concern
- Liaise with, pass on information to and receive information from statutory child protection agencies such as:
- the local authority child protection services

- this includes making formal referrals to agencies when necessary.
- Record and retain child protection records according to legal requirements and the organisation’s safeguarding and child protection policy and procedures.
- Work closely with the management committee/board of trustees and Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure they are kept up to date with safeguarding issues and are fully informed of any concerns about organisational safeguarding and child protection practice.
- Contribute to regular reports to MHI’s board of trustees on issues relating to safeguarding and child protection, to ensure that child protection is seen as an ongoing priority issue and that safeguarding and child protection requirements are being followed at all levels of the organisation.
- Be familiar with and work within inter-agency child protection procedures developed by child protection agencies working in partnership with MHI.
- Be familiar with issues relating to child protection and abuse, and keep up to date with new developments in this area.
- Attend regular training in issues relevant to child protection and share knowledge from that training with everyone who works or volunteers with or for children and young people at MHI.
- Attend team meetings, supervision sessions and management meetings as arranged.
- Hold safeguarding workshops and drop-in consultations for the ongoing training and support of MHI clinical and volunteer support staff.

- Child protection leads must have received relevant safeguarding and child protection training that MHI require and that is specific to their role. Joining a small national team, the Business Partnerships Manager for London will support the London and national Tempo team to expand and deepen the networks of community, public and private sector programmes and to develop new opportunities and partnerships in London.
Key responsibilities:
- Regional Recognition Network Development: You will develop regional recognition opportunities with potential partners, attract a diverse range of regional partners aligned with Tempo funders' objectives, and ensure network variety meets programme and beneficiary needs.

The Role
The WorldGBC is seeking a dedicated Advocacy and Engagement Manager to join our dynamic team. The Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) is an international, not-for-profit research and development (R&D) organization that develops and delivers new treatments for neglected diseases affecting millions of the world’s poorest people.
We’re looking for an experienced prospect researcher with strong analytical skills and an excellent knowledge of the global philanthropic space to join our Private Sector Fundraising team. You will be joining a growing major gifts programme with ambitious goals and a strong new business focus.
Someone with prospect research experience in a global health, scientific or medical non-profit setting, and the ability to move comfortably between the worlds of research and philanthropy and to identify opportunities beyond the obvious will be ideal.
Specific responsibilities focus on:
- Assist in developing a proactive and growth-focused prospect research strategy that aligns with DNDi's fundraising plans and strategic priorities.
- Contribute to developing a visibility strategy for DNDi through the identification and tracking of prizes and relevant philanthropic and global health conferences.
- Identify, track, and report on prospective donors for various funding priorities, ensuring they meet fundraising ambitions.
- Make data-driven recommendations to support the cultivation of new prospects and the management of key donor relationships.
- Present research results through written reports and presentations for various audiences.
- Conduct ethical screening and due diligence research on prospects and donors to ensure compliance with DNDi's policies and data protection regulations.
- Manage prospect research related relationships (contractual and budgetary aspects) and monitor expenditure for resource optimization.
An interesting candidate would be someone with
- A deep understanding of the global philanthropic landscape and strong in-depth knowledge of the philanthropic landscape in at least 3-4 countries (US, UK landscape is vital and knowledge of additional markets (Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands or Sweden) highly regarded) with some focus on prospect research experience in developing markets.
- Master’s degree or equivalent with a Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in prospect research experience or a strong equivalent (eg other roles within fundraising) for international NGOs, scientific organisations or organizations with global public health relevance. Some experience with medical research or neglected tropical diseases would be highly regarded.
- Someone who is driven and able to work effectively in a remote team environment and matrix structure
Location: UK, remote or hybrid in London. (The person may be based remotely or with the possibility of being able to work in a hybrid mode in London from MSF’s office 2-3 days per week.)
Position details: This role is fixed term for 24-months (with possibilities for renewal) and with a 35-hour week
