About the role:

  • The purpose of this role is to provide direct support to victims of crime ensuring that the North Wales Victim Help Centre realise their aim of helping people cope and recover from the effects of crime.
  • North Wales Victim Help Centre serves diverse communities, many of whom experience a range of barriers that may impact on their ability to cope and recover from what they have experienced. North Wales VHC aims to identify what matters to service users and empower them to take control of their journey.
  • The post holder will deliver needs led support to victims of crime and provide peer support to volunteers who are engaged in supporting service users. The Victim Help Caseworkers will work with a range of external partners, including the police, statutory agencies and other third sector organisations developing strong links in the community to meet the needs of service users.
  • Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the post holder will assist in the implementation of work force plans and the development of the service to maximise positive outcomes for those that access the service.

Please see attached Job Description and Person Specification for further details.
