Our fundraising team is made up of passionate people dedicated to making BCUK’s mission a reality, so we can prevent even more people from getting Breast Cancer. Fundraising income has grown significantly over the last few years thanks to a talented staff team, and we have an ambitious strategy to grow this income even further.
Working with agencies, including a digital mobilisation agency, The Senior Individual Giving Officer will be responsible for leading growing our individual donor and supporter base and delivering an excellent supporter experience.
You’ll need to be a digital native with experience in building digital-focused approached to supporter acquisition and development.

About you:
You will be a highly motivated individual with experience of working in a growing charity ideally you’ll bring the following skills -

Knowledge and experience of leading digital acquisition programs

Experience of working towards funding and donor engagement targets and tracking progress

Experience in developing, coordinating and implementing regular giving plans, in-memory giving, and stewardship plans for individual givers and major donors.

Willow is recruiting a new Individual Giving Fundraiser and Prospectus is excited to lead the search. Willow work tirelessly to provide support and special days for seriously ill 16-40 year olds. This newly created role will work in a hybrid setup from home and the Hertfordshire office.
The Individual Giving Fundraiser will be responsible for cultivating and stewardship relationships with individual donors with a focus on acquiring and retaining regular givers as well as coordinating appeals, raffles, legacy and in-memory programmes. The Individual Giving Fundraiser will lead the new gift solicitation programme which involves a new support journey, offering different opportunities to scale gifts up and down. You will work within the brilliant Supporter Fundraising Team and meet overall income targets with your colleagues.
The selected candidate will have experience of working in direct marketing with good working knowledge of donor recruitment, retention and development. You will have experience of working in a fundraising environment and ideally have experience of preparing and managing annual plans and budgets. You will ideally like to keep up to date with individual giving fundraising trends and look to increase your skills and experience in this vital area of fundraising for Willow.

We are seeking an experienced candidate with a great understanding and knowledge of individual giving, who shows great leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to maximise opportunities to achieve organisational growth.
The role will manage the Donor Acquisition Fundraiser and In-Memory Fundraiser and be responsible for the overall delivery of our individual giving strategy.
As the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and implementation of our individual giving programme of fundraising and activities, aimed at individuals. It will be the Individual Giving Manager’s responsibility to generate significant income through individual gifts, campaigns and appeals, regular giving, in memoriam giving, lottery and legacies, and to increase activity and income from these sources.
Your primary focus will be on recruiting new donors, retention through a gold standard supporter journey and income growth for these vital areas of fundraising, all while leading a dedicated team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with good understanding and experience of individual giving. The main objective of this role is to drive income to the hospice from individuals, growing and retaining donors through direct mail cash appeals, regular giving, lottery, in-memory giving and legacy promotion.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Developing an individual giving strategy that builds on previous successes and learnings, which looks to significantly grow our contactable community over the next three years and maximise the lifetime value of our donors.

- Managing and developing our lottery income and our relationship with Local Hospice Lottery

This role will be working with internal teams, external suppliers, and third-party providers to develop and test propositions. The post holder will work to acquire new donors and suppliers, segment our data, and maximise insight into our donors to support our growing individual giving stream. We are seeking someone who is an experienced individual giving fundraiser, with excellent interpersonal skills and a great team player. You’ll be a self-starter, enthusiastic and driven with strong team working ethic who is willing to take the initiative and pro-actively engage with our supporters. Confident, articulate, outgoing and with excellent people skills, and someone who can communicate empathetically when dealing with supporters.

This position will lead on the management and development of projects and campaigns to acquire new and increase the value and loyalty of existing supporters across both digital and direct channels. You will be responsible for a portfolio of Individual Giving Fundraising across single, regular, prize-led, payroll, legacy and in-memory giving.
You will work closely with team members to develop supporter journeys and digital acquisition to grow acquisition and retention rates.
This varied role will involve briefing, monitoring and managing stakeholder relationships for Individual Giving campaigns and projects to ensure effective financial management, data management, supporter care, supporter engagement, digital product management and marketing processes are followed.
The ideal candidate will have experience of:
- Managing Individual Giving campaigns (acquisition and retention) across a variety of direct and digital channels
- Using databases to inform Individual Giving campaigns
- Managing and delivering budgets and working with agencies
- Monitoring and evaluating campaigns, reporting results and make recommendations to improve performance.
