One in three students leave school each year without a pass in GCSE English and maths - this rises to over one in two for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Without GCSEs in English and maths, these young people are significantly more likely to drop out of education and are locked out of key professions, apprenticeships, and university courses.

Get Further exists to change this. Our charity has an award-winning tuition programme that helps students from disadvantaged backgrounds in further education to pass GCSEs in English or maths. We place highly qualified, specialist English and maths tutors in further education, who deliver a bespoke curriculum that builds confidence and skills in these core subjects.

THE ROLE

The Senior Data and Insights Officer will help us to demonstrate the importance of our tuition for young people and adults who are undertaking these foundational qualifications.

You will have strong attention-to-detail and will make sure our data is relevant, accurate and confidential. You will be skilled in data analysis and interpretation: able to draw out insights from data and be confident in writing – and communicating – impact for a variety of purposes and audiences. 

As the Senior Data and Insights Officer you will work with the Director of Impact, within our Quality and Impact Team to:

Database Usage and Reporting  

• Support our Salesforce Lead in creating reports and dashboards, ensuring all data is relevant, accurate and secure.
• Use our database management system to generate reports and data analysis for the Senior Leadership Team, and other internal colleagues, to support marketing campaigns, fundraising campaigns, statutory information requests and organisational insight.
• Prepare reports for college partners, funders, and the Board, which set out our data, findings and impact, clearly and accurately. 
• • Confidently write about insights and findings from our data, generating learnings and recommendations for the organisation and other stakeholders.

Internal and External Evaluations

• Support the Director of Impact in developing assessment frameworks to robustly measure our impact and designing dissemination plans, to best harness and communicate that impact. 
• Oversee and implement internal evaluation activity, for example, finalising student surveys, focus group and interview tools. 
• Review and enhance data collection tools, process, analysis, and reporting. 
• Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis of our evaluation data; and use the data to make recommendations to improve programme quality. 
• Review and keep abreast of literature and research in the further education, wider education, tuition and research landscape. You will share and apply learnings to our evaluation processes and programme delivery. 
• Manage large research projects with external evaluators.

Policy, Compliance & Quality Assurance 

• Support our ongoing compliance with GDPR across the organisation, as well as upholding our safeguarding frameworks.
• Implement policies and procedures relating to GDPR and ensure those policies are adhered to across the organisation. 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL 

• Commitment to Get Further’s mission and values, including passionate about tackling educational inequality.
• Familiarity with database systems, like Salesforce (or able and interested in learning to use a database management system).
• Skilled in data analysis: able to use complex data to produce accurate, insightful and engaging findings and recommendations. 
• Research experience e.g. designing qualitative and quantitative instruments, survey design, knowledge of research designs (QED, RCT), ethical considerations, participatory research.
• IT skills e.g. MS Office (Word and Excel) and also data analytics software like Tableau and PowerBi.
• Project management experience: excellent at planning and managing projects, tracking key deliverables, overseeing budgets and financial controls. 
• Knowledge of GDPR requirements, policies, processes and organisational compliance. 
• Strong attention to detail, prioritises precision and accuracy. 
• Problem-solver: enjoys troubleshooting and demonstrates a ‘solution-oriented’ approach. 
• Excellent communication skills (including written and verbal skills).

Fundraising Training and Engagement Officer, a fanastic opportunity to join a specialist London Charity, who provide a crucial medical response service within the Capital. Hybrid Working; a min of 2 days a week office based.

Key responsibilities:

Fundraiser Training, Engagement and Quality

• Deliver inspiring training sessions about services, engaging fundraisers to be passionate about their work and the work of the charity.

• Maintain and refine Fundraiser Training Decks with up to date and relevant content.

Planning & Organising

• Work alongside the DM Manager as a contact for agency partners and campaign activity.  
• Assist on the development of operational plans for multiple fundraising campaigns, along with analysing results to ensure ROI is delivered.

Administration Duties

• Reviewing and recording all invoices.
• Maintain training materials and stock of marketing and training materials.

To be successful as the Fundraising Training and Engagement Officer, you will be able to demonstrate prior skills and experiences in the following areas:

• Presenting or communications information to large groups, either face to face or via a remote setting.
• Engaging, inspiring and motivating others to achieve targets and deliver against campaign objectives.

Grants Fundraising Officer (job share)

Hope and Homes for Children is looking for a Funding Coordination Officer (this is the job title used internally for this role), who'll play a key supportive role in the Grants Partnerships team and Marketing, Communications and Fundraising (MCF) department, contributing directly to the Grants team income target as well as supporting fundraisers across the department to access compelling information in support of their fundraising.

We are a small, highly experienced team who share a passion to support the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people across Surrey.  This is a key new role in the Major Relationships unit to support the CEO and Major Relationships Lead in major donor fundraising, an area which has grown in recent years.  This locally based post will enhance the prospect pipeline and facilitate the cultivation of major donor prospects, which will help towards meeting the objectives and financial targets for major donor fundraising. The role will cover three main areas of responsibility: Research, Events (organisation/co-ordination) and Admin. This position requires discretion, confidentiality and administrative judgment.

The Major Relationships unit works alongside Grants, Corporates & Community as well as Individual Giving, as part of the wider Engagement (fundraising/marketing) team at Eikon. 

Responsibilities   

1. Research   

• Identify and prioritise potential major donor prospects in Surrey and beyond, who would be capable of making significant contributions and seem likely to have the propensity to donate i.e. to become major donors. 

• Produce high quality, tailored and insightful research on major donors.  

• Look at current supporters (all different types/levels) with good contacts/connections/networks and conduct research in order to suggest ways to reach new high net worth individuals across Surrey. 

2. Event organisation/co-ordination 

• Organise/coordinate internal and externally run events such as dinners, drinks receptions, sporting events. 

• Attend key events - approx. 5 each year and sometimes evenings/weekends – welcoming guests and ensuring a positive experience. 

• Join the CEO and/or the Major Relationships Lead at specific meetings with MDs/MDPs, occasionally evenings/weekends. 

 3. Admin 

• Day-to-day support for MDs, MDPs and key influencers (KIs) which could include:  

• General stewardship including thanking and processing information on Sharepoint and Donorfy (Eikon’s database). 

• Regular communication including calls, meetings and sharing reports, presentations and other updates. 

• Database admin, including checking opportunity pipelines and reporting requirements. 

• Supporting individuals or small groups who are fundraising for us e.g. how to set up and promote a JustGiving page. 

4. Marketing, Communications and relationships  

• Support and liaise with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver relevant and effective content and materials, as well as maximising social media opportunities. 

• Co-ordinate communications (including distribution) to all MDs/MDPs/KIs eg CEO Update plus Infographic. 

• Support the CEO and Major Relationships Lead to further develop good relationships with Eikon’s MDs/MDPs/KIs.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and organised Communications Lead to join our existing Communications team and support our communications and engagement.

The Communications Lead will provide leadership and guidance with the planning, delivery and monitoring of Action Hampshire’s communication activities. This role will act as a key member of our communications team, providing coaching support to the Communications Officer and Communications Administrator. This is a multi-faceted role, with opportunity to grow and develop. You’ll work across the organisation, involved in many different projects and collaborating with colleagues across the team.

We are looking for someone with a creative eye, good interpersonal skills and excellent attention to detail who can communicate effectively. A key part of the role will involve implementing our Comms strategy and efficiently monitoring and making steps to improve our audience reach through our comms channels (including social media, email marketing, website and media contacts).

Key tasks include:

• To maintain and implement a communications strategy which supports Action Hampshire’s strategic plan and continue identifying opportunities to strengthen Action Hampshire’s brand awareness, reach and presence
• To provide support to the team enabling the delivery of high quality, engaging and informative content for the Action Hampshire website, newsletter and social media platforms
• To provide senior communications advice and coaching support to the Communications Officer and Communications Administrator

Key Responsibilities:
Policy and Public Affairs Support:

- Research policy developments and political changes.
- Monitor relevant parliamentary activities and government announcements.
- Compile and analyse data for policy briefs and reports.
- Assist in preparing policy briefings, research summaries, and stakeholder communications.
- Support youth participation activities.

Communications and Marketing Support:

- Draft and edit reports, blogs, social media posts, and web content.
- Handle media requests, research journalists, and draft press releases.
- Monitor social media and create content for awareness campaigns.
- Assist with newsletter and website content and coordinate guest bloggers.

Event & General Support:

- Organise and coordinate meetings, webinars, roundtables, and political conference activities.
- Plan and execute large events, including registration and materials preparation.
- Represent the teams at internal and external meetings.
- Build effective working relationships across the organisation.
- Provide administrative support for the Youth Work Awards, liaising with the judging panel and nominees.
