Morgan Hunt's Social Care team are proud to be working alongside Swindon and Gloucestershire Mind on their search for a Service Manager for their Access Line Service to work evenings 3pm - 11pm.

Open 365 days a year and operations from 9AM to 11PM, the Access Line provides support for those struggling with their mental health or experiencing a crisis. Helping to navigate individuals to the correct services, the service ensures effective emotional support. As Service Manager, you will manage a small team, ensuring staff are support and developed through job coaching, supervision and identifying development needs.

Ensuring the team provide the right support at the right time by navigating the person to the correct service and completing onward referrals, this role is an incredible opportunity to inform the future direction and development of the Access Line.

Working closely with the team, you will provide both support and supervision to your team via team meetings, group and individual sessions.

This role is suitable for a Team Leader within a Social Care setting, ideally with helpline experience who is ready to take the next step into service management.

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Floating Support Team Manager to oversee a new service aimed at providing essential warp-around support to vulnerable residents in the Borough of Hounslow. This temporary role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of 20 staff members with the assistance of two team leaders and another manager as their sister project. Delivering crucial assistance to individuals striving for independent living.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all team activities to ensure adherence to standards and objectives.
• Provide skilled leadership and management within a complex and challenging environment.
• Contribute to and implement the team's objectives, work plans, and performance targets.
• Improve service effectiveness through high-quality outcome-focused support.
• Maximise the contribution of team members to overall organisational effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to financial procedures and controls.
• Manage and motivate employees, trainees, students, and volunteers, including conducting supervisions and appraisals.
• Support project and support workers in key-work, case recording, face-to-face work, group work, advice giving, and advocacy.
• Provide accurate reports and timely information to support funding applications.

Hostel Support Worker

Position Available: 2 Support Workers

Shift Pattern - 11-week rolling rota including weekends:

Early Shift: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm

Late Shift: 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Appointment Shift: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Description:

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our social care client's team as Hostel Support Workers. This position involves providing vital support to individuals with complex needs, including substance misuse, mental health difficulties, and criminal justice issues. Our clients, both men and women, often come with their faithful companions, and we accommodate a few dogs in the hostel.

Responsibilities:

• Key-working and case management for a caseload of 5 to 10 clients.
• Providing individualised support and guidance to residents, addressing their specific needs and challenges.

Our client, a leading homelessness charity based in east London are looking for an Advice and Support Worker to work in a busy homeless day centre. Due to a company restructure a position has become available to work in a team of Assessment and Advice Workers in the assessment and signposting of clients experiencing homeless clients with high support needs to relevant support services in the borough.

Candidates for this role will need:

- Extensive housing knowledge and knowledge of the entitlement homeless clients have under different housing laws/ acts

- Experience of working with the homeless

- Experience of working in a homeless assessment capacity

- Resettlement experience and knowledge of housing options

Your primary focus will be on offering practical advice, emotional support, safety planning, and risk assessment to empower clients to make informed decisions about their future.

Specific Duties:

• Conducting direct work with clients, utilising sensitive listening and questioning skills to understand their situations and assist in setting priorities.
• Providing practical help, advice, and emotional support to enable clients to navigate their options, including safety planning and risk assessment.
• Encouraging clients to access relevant services such as legal aid, financial assistance, housing, and medical treatment through appropriate referrals.
• Negotiating with third parties and accompanying clients to meetings or court proceedings as necessary.
