Working closely with the Head of Programmes and colleagues, you will manage the delivery of EPIC Restart's national programmes, working hands-on to support and manage a wide range of in-person and online activities, embedding good project management principles across our programmes and driving successful outcomes.
70% of our team and trustees have experienced gambling harm either directly or indirectly. Lived experience is an advantage but not an essential requirement for this role, as you will be collaborating with colleagues who bring their lived experience insights to inform our activities. We’re looking for a Country Manager who is, at heart, a peacebuilder. You will be someone willing to lead by your example, coaching, inspiring and giving technical support as you spend time with peacebuilding teams across the north of CAR, including three Hub Peacebuilding Managers in local offices in the borderlands, up to eight programme officers and over 300 local peacebuilders who form our Advisory Groups.
Living in Bangui, you’ll report directly to the Regional Director and work collaboratively as a key part of the Regional Leadership Team to shape the strategic direction of Concordis’ future work across the Central African region.
The needs in CAR are immense, and we need you to have the vision and motivation to look beyond programme delivery, as important as that is, and to identify new opportunities and new funding for additional programming. You’ll support the team as they design, develop and source funding for new work that will a deliver measurable change for peace.
You will be someone who is curious and keen to spend time with people in the borderlands, where conflict is fought and felt. You will also have the confidence and ability to be part of high-level meetings with ministers and ambassadors, amplifying voices that are often ignored by decision makers, leading to evidence-based, conflict sensitive policy making.
Role Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for technical peacebuilding aspects of Concordis’ work in CAR
- Responsible for leading on all aspects of peacebuilding in delivering an ambitious but realistic borders programme to time and to budget, meeting all contractual requirements of the donor
- Responsible for providing managerial oversight in developing and delivering strategic work plans in accordance with donor log frames to achieve delivery of all activities and outcomes, reporting on these to the donor
- Develop opportunities to use the significant flexibility built into this contract to maximise impacts for peace, beyond pure contractual terms, negotiating these with the donor
- Visionary leadership with the staff team, key stakeholders and international donors to identify gaps in peacebuilding provision and to develop opportunities for future work that will meet identified needs, be locally owned and deliver measurable impact
Influence policymaking and advocacy
- Represent Concordis in CAR with high-level engagement with local, national, regional and international decision makers, using evidence from the programme to influence policymaking
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers, then use this access to amplify voices that are often ignored, engaging with Government officials, Diplomatic staff, Regional bodies that support Central African countries (eg COMIFAC, ECCAS, CEMAC, OFAC etc), UN and multilateral agencies and humanitarian and developmental staff
- Participate actively in regional conferences and negotiations to ensure that the voices of people in the borderlands are heard, and that locally-led and conflict sensitive solutions are reflected in strategic decision-making
Responsible for strategic programme development
- Building and maintain relationships that may lead to new funding opportunities from bilateral, multilateral and other institutional donors
- Provide strategic support to fundraising providing timely information to support the development of new bids and engaging directly with donors
Leadership responsibility in the Regional Team
- Member of the Central African Regional Senior Leadership Team and will lead the CAR Country Senior Leadership Team supported collaboratively by the CAR Finance Manager
- Responsible for line managing three Peacebuilding Hub Managers
- Responsible for giving coaching, mentoring and technical support to the peacebuilding team in CAR, inspiring them in their roles and focusing their efforts to deliver rapid and sustainable results, whilst ensuring that staff development needs are met
- Promote clear lines of communication between staff members and offices, across the Central African Regional programme and with staff in the UK. Lead or participate in a system of team meetings, one-to-ones and informal gatherings
- Responsible for ensuring that staff development needs are met including training and appraisals
- Responsible for ensuring that CAR project staff understand and adhere to staff safety, security policies and plans and that such plans are kept up to date. Closely monitor the security dynamics in target areas and report to the Regional Director on significant changes in the security context
- Work collaboratively with finance staff to manage project resources, prepare project budgets, review and monitor spending and submit regular reports to the donor
- Work with Regional Head of MEAL to prepare regular donor reports to the donor

About the team
Kinship is in the third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We have created 145 peer support groups and supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.
With a new contract from the Department for Education, we’re now entering a new phase of our service with a focus on:
- creating 90 new sustainable peer support groups in areas of most need over 21 months;
- sustaining and developing the current 145 existing groups; and
- providing support and help to build a sustainable and welcoming community for all peer support groups across England.
This role will mobilise, develop and innovate our existing offer into a new Peer Support Hub with the focus on supporting sustainability and building resilience of peer support groups and their leaders. You will support and build our Kinship peer support community.
You’ll work with group leaders to develop a central hub of accessible and useful resources to help them to sustain their groups, working with colleagues right across Kinship to promote consistent access to services and activities (training, programmes, information, advice and campaigns), building a joined-up user experience.
About the role
The role of the Peer Support Hub Lead is to oversee and take accountability for sustaining kinship peer support groups across England in priority areas as part of a new hub and spoke delivery model.
In this context, your team is the centralised ‘hub’ of the service, delivering an exciting programme of training, speakers, toolkits and resources to help peer support group leaders develop, build and sustain their group well.
Your national team of three will make sure groups feel connected and supported, learn from each other and build a powerful and resilient peer community.

Dynamic and people-centred, this role is about developing a supportive community of peer support groups nationally. You’ll understand the power of relationships and be an excellent communicator. You’ll understand how communities hold their own power and your team will help unlock that. An excellent communicator, you’ll develop external partnerships to support group sustainability. You’ll ensure through the National Peer Support Connector role that peer communities are connected and engaging with the new National Kinship Care Ambassador.
You’ll be comfortable with using digital technology and tools to build communities and develop resources.
Key responsibilities include:

Essential requirements include:

As a Ubele Programme Assistant, you will be a member of the Community Wealth Building hub supporting our Programme Manager with the Agbero2100 London programme by overseeing administrative tasks, communicating with our partners ensuring resource availability for the project team from project inception to completion.

Role purpose
The purpose of this role is to lead, develop and deliver WorldSkills UK’s external Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) programmes supported by stakeholder engagement strategies across our network of industry, education and government. The role will ensure that we engage external stakeholders to help deliver our ambition to be a leader, partner and ally in creating positive change for ED&I in the skills sector.
Key tasks and responsibilities
1. Deliver positive action activity for change:
- Support the development and delivery of WorldSkills UK’s external ED&I strategy. Ensure it is fit for purpose, has recognised long term goals and will deliver measurable change, reflecting organisational priorities around increased engagement with ethnic minority groups and females. Provide an overarching framework and help further develop strategic KPIs for our ED&I work, ensuring effective use of data, monitoring progress and performance.
- Work with the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager to develop action plans that will drive our continuous improvement:
- Support our skills competition development programmes to increase the diversity of young people engaged
- Support the development of role models to showcase the impact of our work and encourage diversity in key areas of industry, including future priority skill areas
- Support the development of learning resources that aid engagement with underrepresented groups
- Support teams to ensure ED&I matters are considered and addressed as key components of all strategies, plans and programmes.
2. Manage the ED&I Advisory Group:
- This is a unique opportunity to work with experienced and prominent senior individuals from across education and industry who are invested in driving the agenda for ED&I.
- Lead the administration and ongoing development of our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Advisory Group.
- Engage the Group to help support, advise and challenge WorldSkills UK on its actions to remove obstacles and barriers faced by young people from under-represented backgrounds in our programmes.
- Report regularly to the Group on progress against KPI’s and facilitate reports for the WorldSkills UK Board.
3. Project Manage the ED&I Heroes Awards
- The Awards is an established flagship event which provides a platform for WorldSkills UK to celebrate success with its partners, amplify best practice and inspire others to drive change across the skills systems in education and business.
- Project manage delivery of the annual Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Heroes Awards, supported by relevant internal teams
- Establish the nominations process
- Co-ordinate the judging panel
- Organise the awards ceremony
- Manage the support of the awards partners.
4. Manage strategic relationships
- Manage a portfolio of ED&I focused Strategic Partnerships with organisations from across the skills sector, facilitating their support and engagement with our EDI programmes.
- Grow our network of partners to widen our reach, help further drive work in this area and collectively impact on the sector.
- Advise and support the development of the CEO’s international activities on ED&I with WorldSkills International (WSI).
5. Raise the profile of WorldSkills UK’s ED&I work:
- Work with teams across the organisation to support our Mission to ignite a national and global movement to help more young people, regardless of their background, get the best possible start in work and life.
- Support the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager and Marketing and Communications Team to showcase the impact of our programmes:
- Help to externally profile and articulate the value and impact of our activities using the channels and tools available
- Seek opportunities to advocate for our work through stakeholder engagement and networking
- Support the Corporate Partnerships team to identify and secure commercial income related to our ED&I initiatives.
- Work across the organisation to build on existing external relationships and develop new strategic partnerships that reinforce our position as a skills sector leader.
6. Internal ED&I Liaison:
- Whilst not responsible for WorldSkills UK’s internal ED&I activities and agenda it is anticipated that the post holder will spend up to 10% of their time supporting and working with the Corporate Affairs team on internal ED&I matters, with the remaining 90% spent on external work.
- It is not essential that the postholder has extensive experience in this area.
7. General
In addition to the key tasks and responsibilities set out above, all employees at this level are expected to:
- Produce requirement specifications in line with WorldSkills UK’s procurement strategies for all outsourced activity.

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. We work in eleven areas/regions of the UK and will support 3250 children in 2024-25.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling five to seven-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.
From a school perspective, online reading volunteers provide direct, meaningful literacy support for up to 10 pupils per class. The programme is particularly suitable for communities where it might be challenging to find parents and other volunteers who can commit to physically visiting schools to boost reading.
Job Summary
Chapter One is seeking a Birmingham/West Midlands Programme Manager from September 2024 who is an excellent communicator and is able both to motivate and support schools and teachers to implement our online reading volunteers programme, and also to ensure that the programme’s impact and benefit to disadvantaged communities is maximised throughout the academic year.
The post is ideal for someone looking for part-time, flexible, term-time only work from a home base and who is able to travel frequently around the Birmingham and West Midlands area. The postholder will be joining a team of established Programme Managers (also part-time) who work in different parts of the UK and will need to have some flexibility to work additional hours during busy autumn months, and conversely to work fewer hours during quieter periods of the year.
Key Responsibilities:
• Effectively explain Chapter One’s online reading volunteer programme and its benefits to school leaders and teachers
• Install, setup and maintain Chapter One equipment in participating classrooms

About the role
As The National Partnership Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Strategic Partnerships & Business Development function for Scotland. About the Role
This is an exciting role which will support MSI’s successful implementation of European Union funded projects to increase access to, and respect for, sexual and reproductive health and rights in sub-Saharan Africa. Working in close collaboration with national and international partners, including government Ministries and civil society partners, MSI is currently implementing two EU funded projects:
The “Youth for Health (Y4H)” project is an adolescent-focused multi-country programme which aims to expand access to life-changing adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (SRH) across six sub-Saharan African countries: Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Zambia. This is a flagship project for the EU within its SRH project portfolio and is implemented through a consortium of eight partners, which is led by MSI.
The ”Kelen Ya” project focuses on supporting women's and girls' civil society organisations to promote a favourable environment for socio-economic development in Mali. Led by MSI Mali and the Women in Law and Development (WILDAF), the project is funded by the EU delegation in Mali.
As a core member of MSI’s Global Programmes and Philanthropy (GPP) team, the GPP Manager (EU) will contribute to the successful implementation of these projects, taking responsibility for the management of sub-contracts for a number of consortium partners, supporting them to deliver their commitments and ensuring adherence to the compliance requirements of both the EU and of the other donors which will be co-financing the Y4H programme, in close coordination with MSI country programme leads. The GPP Manager (EU) will also support the delivery of internal commitments by MSI’s Global Support Office and Country Programmes. The GPP Manager (EU) will lead project management support for a portfolio of countries, working closely with MSI’s Africa Regional team, supporting consortium performance monitoring, risk management, work-planning, and monitoring.
In addition, they will lead on key pieces of technical work under the programme, coordinating technical inputs across key thematic areas (such as advocacy, disability, or youth), interacting with technical leadership and Technical Working Group members from within the projects, as well as external agencies. They will support the Head of EU Programmes to manage the external relationships critical to the success of the programme including with the EU at global and country level and with African institutions.
This role is for a fixed, two-year period from June 2024 to June 2026, with the possibility of extension subject to donor funding.

Our ideal candidate is passionate, proactive and organised and will enjoy supporting hundreds of Team MRF runners who are fundraising to defeat meningitis.
Events Fundraiser
Salary: £23,000-£28,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Bristol, hybrid or remote working with monthly meetings in Bristol
MRF National Events Programme
The MRF National Events Fundraiser is responsible for a significant proportion of our events income with hundreds of runners each year taking on the challenge of participating in iconic races such as TCS London Marathon and A J Bell Great North Run.
Many of our race participants join Team MRF for deeply personal reasons, having had first-hand experience of the disease. Without Team MRF runners we would not be where we are in the race to defeat Meningitis, they are fundamental to our work and have been so since our early days as a charity.
The National Events Fundraiser is an enjoyable role at MRF within a very successful fundraising team, which last year raised over £500,000 by supporting hundreds of runners on Team MRF.

It is through the determination of everyone involved with the national events programme that we are able to deliver a number of our goals as a charity. You will harness that passion to help each runner succeed and understand what a difference they make along the way.
With many different elements to the role from planning, marketing, stewardship and event delivery you will need to be flexible and adaptable. This isn’t a fully desk-based job, as at different points of the year you will get the chance to meet Team MRF runners face to face by attending the events themselves and delivering celebratory post-race receptions.
With large teams of runners across a rolling annual events programme you must feel comfortable in managing deadlines, overlapping plans and keeping on top of supporter communications. Whilst we have systems in place to support this, our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys taking responsibility for their own workload.
This a fun role that sees the events through from start to finish and a great opportunity for the right candidate.
