Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
· Be directly responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient day-to-day functioning of the centre including the management of the Brazelton Centre UK premises and IT, where applicable.
· Understand the legal and reporting obligations of the Brazelton Centre UK as a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and be responsible for ensuring the Centre meets these obligations including for example filing of annual accounts.
· Work with the Board of Trustees, Director, fundraising colleagues and partner organisations to increase voluntary income to the Centre to fund and trial innovative new services and research opportunities in line with our strategy
·Ensure HR policies are reviewed and updated to ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations and best practice. Develop new policies that are fit for purpose, legally compliant, and embedded within the team.
·Update, maintain and develop employee handbook, HR templates, processes, and systems to support the delivery of an effective HR function.
·Manage HR systems ensuring all records are maintained accurately and comply with GDPR.
·Day to day line management of a number of the Brazelton Centre staff including the development of objectives, work plans and monitoring ongoing performance, the management of annual leave and sickness and absence monitoring.
·Oversee the entire employee lifecycle - from induction to exit - while implementing talent retention strategies, performance management systems, and succession planning.
·Oversee organisational volunteer management, ensuring compliance with policies and alignment with strategic objectives
·Manage grievances and disciplinary actions in accordance with policy.

Support the planning and further development of the Brazelton Centre UK, working to continually extend the reach of our existing NBO and NBAS courses.

In line with our strategy, where relevant, support the Director to seek new projects, research and funding opportunities related to the aims of the Centre
Promote the activities of the Brazelton Centre UK in enabling the highest standards of service delivery

General

The Refugee Welcome Officer is an exciting and unique role, supporting groups across the county who engage with the Social Justice Network to take part in the Afghan Welcome Project. You will assist with group formation, volunteer recruitment, training and provide ongoing mentoring to ensure their success.
As Refugee Welcome Officer you will work closely with the groups, local authorities, the Home Office, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and other key stakeholders to source suitable housing, matching families to accommodation whilst ensuring compliance.
You will build and maintain effective relationships with local agencies, councils, community groups and other sponsors to facilitate resettlement and share best practices, as well as taking the lead for coordinating recruitment and training and support for volunteers. You will also maintain DBS checks, training records and provide ongoing supervision and guidance.
In addition, you will assist with grant applications, fundraising initiatives, marketing and awareness-raising through social media, newsletters, events and community presentations.
You will have a strong passion for supporting resettled families and enabling local communities to be welcoming and inclusive. You will have experience working with volunteers, community groups or charitable organisations, and preferably experience supporting vulnerable individuals or families, including refugees or asylum seekers.
Knowledge of housing processes, private tenancies, and local support services is important, as are excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. You should be confident influencing, negotiating and problem-solving in complex situations.
Experience of delivering training and supporting volunteer development, a full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle and a willingness to travel within Kent, London and the Southeast is essential.

Due to an internal secondment, a rewarding and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Philanthropy Engagement Officer to join the Philanthropic Partnerships Team in the Major Partnerships Unit (MPU) for a fixed-term role.
As Philanthropy Engagement Officer, you will independently deliver excellent account management and stewardship to a portfolio of existing major donors, contributing to our goals of sustaining and increasing income from high-net-worth individuals. You will also cultivate new prospects, following through leads and delivering persuasive proposals to secure new potential donors. You will also lead on the organisation of key engagement activities with the support of other team members, including in person and virtual cultivation and stewardship events.
We are therefore looking for solid experience of working in a fundraising environment, managing and prioritising a portfolio of funders to secure donations, and experience organising events. You will have worked with a diverse range of donors, and have strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills, as well as being a collaborative team member.
This is an exciting time to join a high achieving team with lots of ambitious projects under way including the rollout of a new giving circle product and execution of an excellent high-value events programme.

Summary of the role:
The Income Generation Support Officer will provide day-to-day administrative departmental support and support to the department Director to ensure the successful delivery of the organisation’s operations in an efficient manner. This role will focus on generating reports, tracking progress, and ensuring all the necessary processes relating to compliance, finance and HR are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
About the Role:
- Maintain and improve departmental filing systems to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Prepare purchase orders and document payments according to Muslim Aid’s financial procedure and in conjunction with the Finance team to ensure speedy payment of invoices for internal / external stakeholders.
- Undertake small-scale project work including researching, analysing and recommending next steps.
- Provide support to the IGM management team in responding to correspondence, booking meetings, minute-taking, planning and supporting events, organising travel and preparing travel itineraries and relevant tasks as required.
- Track Managers delivery of action points to ensure timeframes and outcomes are met, escalating to Head or Director of IGM for further action as appropriate.
- Undertake full inbox and extensive diary management, ensuring an effective use of time and preparation of information in advance. Sort, redirect and action emails and review an effective ‘bring up’ system to brief and prepare the Director Income Generation and Marketing for meetings / events.
