Job description

Our Client is an astounding group of professionals who believe that people's sight matters. They have ambitious growth plans to increase the investment they are able to make in life changing eye health by supporting the work of Moorfields Eye Hospital and its academic partner UCL and funding innovative research, equipment, patient care and training through the delivery of innovative programmes of fundraising work. The team is looking to appoint a Development assistant, and Prospectus is leading the search.

The Development assistant will play a vital role in supporting the charity's ambitious fundraising programme at a pivotal time of growth and transformation. Working closely with the Director of development and communications and the wider philanthropy team, the postholder will manage varied responsibilities, including providing administrative support, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations and contributing to key projects supporting the delivery of high-quality supporter stewardship and major fundraising initiatives.

The successful candidate will bring excellent organisational and project management skills, the ability to prioritise effectively, and confidence in building relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. You will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and demonstrable experience working to deadlines in a busy environment. While previous experience in a charity, fundraising, or membership organisation is desirable, what matters most is your enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment to the charity's mission.
