The Programme Manager role 

Due to the expansion of our programmes we are seeking a new team member to support our next year of growth and delivery.

You will be managing and developing skills and employability programmes designed in partnership with industry. With support, from your team and colleagues, you will ensure TTF educational programmes are successfully delivered from conception to evaluation. You will work collaboratively with our corporate and industry partners to support teachers and students in schools and further education institutions.

Hybrid working

This is a hybrid role. You will be working from home and join Team Together Days in a co-working space in London 2-3 individual days each month. These days are considered commuting days. Designed in partnership with UCL, In2research is a year-long programme that aims to improve access to postgraduate research degrees and careers for people from low-socioeconomic and underrepresented backgrounds. Through workshops, mentoring, professional development days and an eight-week research placement, participants receive the development opportunities and insight they need to progress onto postgraduate research degrees and careers in STEM, Social Sciences and Arts & Humanities subjects.

We are looking for an In2research Programme Officer to help expand our high-quality programme by supporting all stages of the programme including: planning; delivery; recruitment; stakeholder management and evaluation.

With multiple internal and external stakeholders involved in the continual success of In2research, excellent communication and project delivery skills will be key in this role. You will be an organised and motivated self-starter who thrives in the face of change, enjoys creative problem solving, working in a team and can achieve deadlines on a tight timescale.

Duties and responsibilities: 

The purpose of the Programme Officer role is to support the successful delivery of the In2research Programme. 

Your specific duties will include: 

Programme Delivery 

• Manage participants and volunteers from application stage to successful completion of the programme, including recruitment, matching, onboarding, troubleshooting throughout the programme and evaluation. 

• Maintain excellent working relationships with funders and delivery partners and other external stakeholders to further the delivery of our work. This will include working and communicating with academic and professional services staff at universities, consultants, placement supervisors, mentors and workshop leads

• Create and develop engaging communication materials about the programme including programme guides, presentations, posters/flyers, case studies and website text and images. 

• Work with delivery partners to design and deliver programme’s online and in-person activities, including recruiting and training speakers for: workshops; careers panels; mentoring sessions; placements and large scale away days and celebration events

• Track project performance, manage risk assessments and ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard

• Ensure the highest standard of record keeping, maintaining accurate, complete, and up to date records in accordance with data protection policy

• Support the collection and creation of case studies, working closely with the fundraising team to ensure funder requirements are met.

• Evaluate programme processes/systems to recommend and implement improvements to support the delivery of a high quality programme experience for participants and volunteers.

Person specification: 

Essential: 

• Excellent organisational skills, able to multitask and manage a varied workload while paying attention to the tiny details

• Experience delivering programmes and/or projects within the education, career development and/or employability sector

• An understanding of the social and economic barriers that prevent some people from progressing into postgraduate research and an ability to recognise the importance of diversity and inclusion in postgraduate research

• Experience working with one or more of the following groups: young people, people from low-socioeconomic backgrounds, volunteers, universities or STEM professionals/employers.

• Experience developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.

• Experience designing and delivering large-scale events, both online and in-person, such as training sessions, away days and workshops

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation skills and an ability to adapt to a range of audiences.

• Flexible and adaptable, with an ability to pick up new tasks quickly, showing resilience when faced with challenges.

• Knowledge, understanding or experience of programme or project evaluation. 

Desirable: 

• Experience of working with universities and academic institutions, knowledge and understanding of the postgraduate application process

The Ogden Trust is recruiting for a Programme Officer to support the delivery of our informal science learning programmes across England, working with universities and employers.

The Ogden Trust is a charitable Trust, supporting the teaching and learning of physics.  The Trust supports a range of initiatives, programmes and projects to promote the teaching and learning of physics.

The Programme Officer will report to the Programme Manager for the Opportunities for All strand of the Ogden strategy, which includes our work with universities to support physics outreach and public engagement and physics-related internships for 16-18-year-olds. Just Like Us is the LGBT+ young people’s charity and works with thousands of schools and young people across the UK through its programmes.

Our Education Programmes are focused on engaging primary schools, secondary schools and sixth form colleges across the UK to take part in our programmes and ensure LGBT+ young people can thrive. Programme delivery:

• Support the Programmes Team to deliver our programmes, including Pride Groups, School Talks and School Diversity Week

Job Purpose

The purpose of the Programme Coordinator is co-ordinate with all parties (Community Engagement Manager, the Programme Manager, LMK Leaders and the host organisations) to enable LMK to deliver high quality workshops for young people/youth work professionals/workplaces. 

Acting as the lynchpin of the organisation’s delivery team, the Programme Coordinator takes the workshop brief from the LMK Community Engagement Manager and then works with the Programme Manager to secure facilitators (LMK leaders), ensures the host organisation receives all supporting information, and provides LMK Leaders with the resources they need to deliver the workshop effectively. This role is also responsible for regular reporting about workshop bookings and delivery. 

Reporting to our CEO, the successful candidate will be part of LMK’s core staff team. You will work with LMK staff, LMK Leaders, members of our Youth Advisory Board, trustees and key stakeholders to develop and implement our long-term strategy. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Provide excellent customer service to organisations who are hosting LMK workshops, ensuring that all communication is timely and accurate, and any questions are responded to in full.

• Liaise with the Programme Manager and LMK Leaders to ensure there is clear understanding around their areas of expertise, availability and any specific considerations that need to be taken into account when delivering workshops.

• Open up opportunities to deliver workshops to any Leader applicable, ensuring the allocation of workshops is done fairly and consistently.

• Ensure LMK leaders have the information and resources required to deliver their workshop.

• Work closely with the Research and Evaluation Manager to ensure that the correct evaluation surveys are made available to workshop participants. 

• Work with our Head of Fundraising to track workshop delivery against funder commitments.

• Keep the CRM system data up to date in a timely way.

• Produce regular reports for the CEO on the booking and delivery of workshops, as well as any ad-hoc reports requested. 

• Share Leader evaluation feedback from workshops with Leaders.

• Check invoices submitted by LMK leaders, and work with the Programme Manager to get them approved. 

• Support the Programme Manager to organise LMK Leader Huddles and training events.

• Comply with our policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, confidentiality, complaints and data protection.

Person specification

• At least 2 years’ experience in an event management/admin management/executive assistant/operations role where there was a strong requirement to work with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an excellent track record of customer service.

• Proven ability to work well within a team.

• Highly organised to manage a diverse workload with excellent time management and ability to pay attention to detail.

• Excellent organisational skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Creative thinker with the ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent IT skills across core MS/Google packages, ideally with experience of CRM use

The Role  

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with up to 3 years of experience in administration which includes administering and monitoring databases. The post will provide the Team with accurate, timely and comprehensive data, reports and minutes to support and enable effective grant making and decision making. The post plays a crucial role in supporting the whole Team in the UK and in Africa with the potential for visiting Egmont Partners and projects in southern & eastern Africa. 

The successful candidate will be highly IT competent, possess good written communication skills and have a positive attitude and strong desire to help meet the objectives of this small but very effective international development charity. A keen eye to detail, a methodical and analytical mind are critical requirements of the role. The ideal candidate will be young self-motivated, capable of working as part of a team and under their own initiative. Strong IT knowledge and experience in MS Office and data administration are essential requirements of the role. 

Flexibility will also be a key attribute. They will be part of a small team who have overlapping responsibilities and support each other in the delivery of Egmont’s strategy. You will experience working with major humanitarian donors (such as FCDO, UN, EU), with an ability to raise and manage major donor grants. Who we are

Arts for Dementia is a small charity but a leader in our field. We work with artists, galleries, museums and community spaces to offer inspiring arts programmes for people in the early stages of dementia and their companions. We train facilitators from around the country in early stage dementia awareness and how to deliver effective arts-based activities for people living with dementia.  We also raise awareness of the value of the arts for people affected by dementia through our advocacy work.

Key responsibilities

Working with and supporting the Programmes and Communications Manager, alongside the Charity Administrator, to deliver creative programmes for people affected by dementia, including:

· Community research, specifically identifying potential partners and referrers for our creative programmes, including older adults organisations, arts organisations, NHS and memory services and community centres

· Community outreach and development, including contacting, building relationships and working with potential partners and referrers, with a key focus on improving the diversity of our network and participants

· Recruitment of workshop participants, particularly identifying key referrers and those working with people with dementia, visiting relevant organisations to raise awareness and share information, and gathering contact details of potential participants

· Participant communication and relationship-building, including reminding participants with dementia and family carers of upcoming sessions, being main point of contact for some programmes

Main duties & Responsibilities

• To act as the first point of contact for the Agbero2100 London programme, responding to and redirecting enquiries as appropriate.
• To co-ordinate the work and meetings of programme stakeholders and partners, including minute taking.

• To gather partner agreements, consultancy agreements, contracts and purchase orders, working closely with our finance hub to issue invoices and chase outstanding payments.

• To organise events and seminars, and to draw together the contributions and outcomes from these events.  Providing support where appropriate.
