Churches Conservation Trust is the national charity protecting historic churches at risk, ensuring they are enjoyed as social, tourism, educational and cultural resources, kept open, in use, and living once again in the heart of their communities.

As a Conservation Projects Manager and a key member of the national Conservation team, you will work with experienced consultants and skilled craftspeople, with national and regional colleagues, volunteers, local partners and stakeholders to develop and manage a range of holistic, conservation and new use projects, from inception to completion, and providing professional advice and support to community led projects.  You will lead on all capital, conservation and maintenance, programmes in the region.

You will have expertise and specialist knowledge in the field of historic building repair and conservation, and a proven track record of project management (client side) in the heritage sector. You might be a Building Surveyor, a Conservation Architect, an Estate Manager, or a Project Manager, in this continually varied and unique role you will be working on some of the most significant historic buildings in the country. As you’ll be working on projects across the region, but not exclusively, it is essential you have a full driving license.

Blue Marine Foundation is seeking a Programme Manager who will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Convex Seascape Survey and lead relations with the project’s funder. This role may suit someone from a corporate or account management background, preferably local to London or the southeast and willing to travel internationally as needed. This is an incredible chance to work on pioneering global science project and to join a highly impactful charity at the cutting edge of marine conservation.

The Convex Seascape Survey is two years into a five-year, multi-million-pound pioneering research project working to quantify and understand blue carbon stored in the coastal ocean floor and its potential to help mitigate climate change. Convex Seascape Survey is a partnership between Blue Marine Foundation, Convex Insurance Limited and the University of Exeter, delivered in partnership with a consortium of over sixteen other organisations.

Project management

· Lead the project management process, matched to the project grant agreement, including oversight of project finance and all deliverables.

· Coordination of project partners to ensure activities and deliverables are achieved in keeping with quarterly milestones.

· Relationship management with project partners, serving as a main point of contact and ensuring their ongoing satisfaction with the project’s progress and outcomes.

· Responsible for organising and feeding into Steering Committee meetings, as well as contributing as required to Advisory Group meetings.

· Managing supplier relationships, overseeing contracts and work package delivery. 

· Representing the project at relevant conferences and forums or visiting fieldwork sites. International travel will be required at times.

Reporting

· Report progress into the steering committee on a quarterly basis, flagging areas of concern and actioning steering committee advice.

· Develop quarterly reports and updates for the funder against deliverables.

· Create annual reports for public viewing, promoting the success and progress of the survey, with support from the communications team.

· Creation of visual presentations for advisory and steering committee updates. 

Finance

· Overseeing budget spending data for the project with support from Blue Marine’s finance team, and co-ordinate invoicing and budget reporting for the partners.

· Liaising closely with Blue Marine’s finance team to ensure efficient deployment and tracking of project funds. 

· Coordinating finance reports for the funder and partners. 

Communications

· Present the Project at public conferences and various stakeholder events

· Supporting the communications lead in delivery of project outreach through press, digital and social media

· Contribute interviews or quotes for press on project developments.

· Assisting the development and delivery of a bespoke, project-linked education programme

The successful applicant will be highly organised, with a rigorous approach to project management. Desired experience includes:

· Successful delivery of multi-million pound, multi-year research programmes or other projects

· Track record of high-impact project management, accurate reporting and successful project delivery

· Competent and confident public-speaker with the ability to communicate complex subjects to a range of audiences which could include corporate, political and public audiences

· High level of numeracy with the ability to track multiple budgets over time 

· Excellent communicator with a diplomatic approach to management

· Skilled at reporting, with the ability to condense complex information quickly

· Aptitude and ability to work under pressure

· Basic scientific understanding may be valuable, but is not a prerequisite

Duties and Key relationships Marketing and Communications

This is a new role in the Marketing and Communications department and is responsible for the media relations of the Charity.  

PR and Media Relations

• To develop relevant media contacts, as well as contacts in the sector, to maximise the reach and coverage of key communications campaigns as well as wider organisational projects.

• Produce creative copy written for a variety of audience groups which champions and shows best practice of our tone of voice

• Develop and support in house PR roll out

· Work with external PR agency on selected press releases where relevant

· Write press releases in line with campaign launches and key moments

· Develop pitches and news stories and other promotional copy.

· Lead on media briefings that convey appropriate key messages and prepare spokespeople

· Identify and interview case studies and media spokespeople

· Pull together monthly Data Analysis reports with the support of the Marketing and Communications Manager

· Send out weekly coverage reports with the Digital Marketing Officer, monitor external activity (including competitor) and incorporate best practice.

As the Community Shop and Online Manager for our flagship store in Mere Green you will lead a team of paid staff and volunteers. You’ll be empowered to make decisions locally whilst working within a supportive framework. You’ll work within and for your local community ensuring that engagement and support is understood and promoted. 

You’ll have great commercial skills, an understanding of how online selling works and why customer service is key and want to be part of a successful team. Ideally, you’ll have previous retail management experience, be able to demonstrate strong leadership and have the ability to work with and motivate any team.

What will you be doing?

This is a key role within our dedicated communications team and will focus on leveraging and shaping Plantlife’s activity and presence in the media, alongside a job share colleague. The role, 30th Birthday Public Affairs lead will play a key role in managing external relationships with key parliamentarians, and representative bodies. You will bring a network of key contacts to promote and support the importance of the National Lottery to people and communities throughout the UK. You will also play a key role in presenting the National Lottery in an effective and impactful way and manage the delivery of the National Lottery 30th Birthday government relations strategy.

Location

Our light, spacious head office is based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James’s Park and close to the West End. Working with communications and fundraising colleagues, the Celebrity & Influencer Relations Manager will attract, engage and develop new and existing relationships with high profile individuals to enhance our external brand and create and share compelling stories about St John and our work.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Significant experience of working closely with high-profile individuals and talent managers to deliver meaningful engagement. 
• Previous experience of successfully creating and executing a strategy for enhancing a brand through engaging celebrities and high-profile individuals 
• Experience of utilising audience insight and landscape awareness to identify suitable celebrities/influencers to enhance our brand development. 
• Experience of working within the not-for-profit sector 
• A collaborative, creative style with excellent written and verbal communication skills

 About the Role 

• Lead the implementation of a celebrity strategy and engagement plan to establish, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with high profile individuals
• Work with the Brand & Communications and Fundraising teams to proactively identify and grow relationships with talent that broadens our reach as a charity 
• Develop creative concepts which can be used to engage celebrities and amplify their involvement across multiple channels and platforms. Draft briefing notes for celebrities, quotes and press releases about their activity. 
• Review existing relationships with high profile supporters and assess where there are opportunities to leverage these relationships to help deliver St John strategic messages. 
• Develop and participate in a network of counterparts at other charities to maintain a focus on continual improvement and innovation within this field in relation to high profile supporters and upskill St John People to spot opportunities for celebrity engagement.

You will be responsible for the supervision, quality and monitoring performance of the advice team, who deliver multi-channel advice (face to face, phone and digitally) to Welwyn Hatfield residents on a wide range of advice issues including welfare benefits, debt, housing, employment, and discrimination.
