Men's Minds Matter brings psychological clinical expertise and lived experience to suicide prevention and intervention. In 2021, we launched the MMM model of psychological entrapment and suicidal crises (PESC-M), which now underpins everything we do. This is the first model of its kind, and we believe it has the potential to save many lives. 

Our model underpins everything we do from training workshops, research, campaigning, and intervention development across multiple platforms. We are looking for someone as dedicated as we are to oversee our business development and help grow our future financial sustainability.

You will be working alongside our directors to secure funding to these projects whilst co-ordinating our business activities and business development.

Location: Sheffield – hybrid working

Hours – 37.5 hours per week. PT and flexible hours considered.

Salary – 31-39K per annum depending on experience

What are the key responsibilities?

· You will work with the directors to develop a three-year strategy for Men’s Minds Matter ensuring it is ambitious, relevant and impactful, in line with the overall direction and integrity of Men’s Minds Matter.

· You will manage complex programmes of work for Men’s Minds Matter, including app development, fundraising and partnership working, research and service evaluation, strategic direction. Ensuring high quality work that meets our strategic aims and linking together projects across the work-plan.

· You will work with leading institutions and/or individuals to develop and secure key partnerships and collaborations which achieve Men’s Minds Matter strategic aims as required.

· You will champion the importance, value, and impact of lived experience involvement to Men's Minds Matter membership and wider suicide prevention sector.

​Skills and Experience:

Essential 

· Substantial experience of working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders in the public and voluntary sectors including participation in external forums. 

· Experience of fundraising, building partnerships and generating sustainable funding streams.

· Experience of partnership working or initiative with demonstrable ability to engage and galvanise people to participate in it. 

· Strong knowledge of the mental health sector and/or suicide prevention.

· Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills, facilitation skills, and a demonstrable ability to network effectively. 

· Track record of devising and delivering strategic programmes of work

· Experience of leading by example and motivating and supporting others effectively.

We are looking for an Interim External Affairs Manager to help lead our communications activities from 24 June 2024 to 31 December, while our permanent External Affairs Manager is on sabbatical. This is a particularly exciting time to join the team, as we seek to maximise our impact ahead of the next general election and develop our strategy for the next few years. 

The successful candidate will help to manage the day to day work of the External Affairs team, including supporting colleagues to enhance our reach on social media and digital channels, deliver our events programme and deepen our impact with key audiences.

About the role

Are you passionate about women’s health and the power of communications to advocate, inform, and influence? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join us as interim Head of Media and Communications.

In this role, you will play a vital part in the RCOG’s mission to improve the lives of women and girls around the world, through the delivery of creative communications campaigns and high-impact media stories. You will promote our guidelines, research and reports to support their use around the world to deliver high quality, safe and compassionate care for women.

Leading our busy press office, you will have opportunities to shape the media agenda on critical women’s health issues and champion the voices of women and girls through creative story-telling. Your social media expertise will ensure we are effectively listening to and engaging our members, partners and the public.

You will enjoy building and managing relationships with stakeholders to deliver opportunities for partnership working – including national health organisations, other Royal Colleges and women’s health charities. Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will line manage our Senior Media and Communications Officer and work closely with colleagues in our policy, public affairs and marketing teams to help ensure the College’s external affairs work is integrated, coherent and impactful.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of our annual media and communications plan, including priority campaigns in partnership with marketing, policy and public affairs colleagues
• Oversee our busy press office, ensuring we maintain strong media relations and are achieving high impact coverage on College priorities
• Deliver proactive external communications to promote awareness and impact of RCOG programmes, projects and products
• Ensure we are effectively using our social media and digital channels to listen, engage and influence, including production of videos, podcasts and webinars, etc.
• Build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders to gather intelligence and identify partnership opportunities

Job Description

Communications:     

• Develop, contribute to and implement impact-driven and strategic communications campaigns that build Kineara’s fundraising capacity and raise awareness of the issues
• Develop brand identity for Kineara’s new charitable arm, ensuring it is consistent across all activities in the organisation, while maintaining Kineara’s overall ‘look and feel’ to ensure coherence in branding, colours, messaging, style and approach.

Role Summary

We are looking for a confident and experienced self-starter to join the Strategy & Communications division as the Government & Parliamentary Relations Manager. Your role is essential to ensure:

• Our relationships generate national and local engagement that helps us to advocate about the issues and practice that can enable high-quality careers support for young people across policy debate and delivery.
• We raise awareness of our work to the extent that our Government and parliamentary stakeholders can articulate what we do and why it matters nationally as well as locally in constituencies across the country.
• We initiate and hold strong relationships across Westminster, maintaining a robust management system to track and monitor engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with the Department of Education (DfE) (our sponsor department) to help us build strong relationships with relevant DfE ministers, officials and their teams.
• Engaging and building policy-led relationships across wider Government – to enable cross-departmental engagement about CEC’s work.
• Building and maintaining cross-parliamentary support – to increase our awareness and support amongst key MPs and Peers and to respond well to their inquiries and commissions.
• Internal team operations – acting as CEC’s lead for internal government and parliamentary briefing to support the CEO and senior colleagues’ visits, meetings and engagements.

Essential Criteria

• Proven experience of engaging through the policy process – (1) developing policy ideas and (2) responding to consultations and briefing requests.

About the role:
 

The Philanthropy & Events Executive will support our Philanthropy Lead and Managing Director to effectively manage existing match funding partner (“Champion”)  relationships, and help to develop new Champion relationships. You will support with Champion onboarding, stewarding and reporting as well as research, prospecting, and business development activities.  You will also manage events for high-value supporters, and play a key role in helping us grow the number of Champions through our events, such as our annual Big Give Christmas Party and Philanthropy Lunches. 

About you:

You will be an organised self-starter with exceptional personal and communication skills. As a “tech first” organisation, we’re looking for someone with exceptional digital skills, experience in data administration and management and able to collate, segment and analyse donor information.  You will also have experience with CRM systems (experience using Salesforce would be advantageous) and processes to help manage the journey of our match funding partners (“Champions “). An understanding of the UK charity and philanthropy sector would be helpful.
