  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists, medical professionals, and social workers, to provide holistic care and assistance to clients.
  • Offer crisis intervention and support to clients facing emotional or behavioural crises.
  • Advocate for clients' rights and access to community resources such as housing, employment, and healthcare services.
  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
  • Engage in continuous training and professional development endeavours to enhance expertise in the realm of substance misuse treatment.

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Certification or licensure as a Substance Misuse Counsellor is preferred.
  • Prior experience in substance treatment or a related field is highly desirable.

  • Compassion, empathy, and a nonjudgmental approach towards individuals grappling with substance disorders.
  • Familiarity with community resources and support services for individuals dealing with substance issues.
  • Willingness to comply with agency policies and procedures, including confidentiality and ethical guidelines.
