Job Title: Substance Misuse Worker
Location: Catford, Lewisham (Approximately 11 minute walk from Bellingham Station - Thameslink and Southeastern rail services) - The service works across two properties which are located in close proximity to each other. This service has step free access.
Salary: £29,000 (Full Time Equivalent)

About the role
We are seeking a Substance Misuse Worker who has a specialism in mental health and substance use to join our team in Catford. You will be based within a 24 hour service which provides enhanced rehabilitation support to adults who have been diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health, who would benefit from an intensive rehabilitation and recovery-focused approach. Within this role, you will provide specialist knowledge and experience to support the wider team and residents to help them to overcome their personal barriers.
You will deliver evidence-based interventions based on holistic assessments to support personalised recovery, integration, and promotion of independent living skills. You will be a specialist in comorbidity, supporting the team to achieve positive outcomes for our residents. Some of your duties will include:
- Undertake joint holistic assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and interventions to support harm reduction and minimisation.
- Set up realistic and flexible strengths-based support plans, working closely with colleagues and support teams to support and advise on interventions and approaches to meet individual needs.
- Help reduce episodes of crisis and assist residents/participants to access services which can offer alternatives to crisis support.
- Work closely with support staff and clinical teams to support and advise them on interventions and approaches to meet resident/participant comorbid, complex mental health and substance misuse needs.
- Support multi-disciplinary teams and the wider community teams with support, advice, signposting, and move on care planning.
About you
We are looking for someone who has specialist knowledge on how to support individuals with comorbid and complex needs, with experience in interventions, and in a similar role. Qualifications are desirable if paired with practical experience which is relevant to this role. We look at individual characteristics with the ability to engage with various people who may not want to receive the support, able to build trusting professional relationships, and able to demonstrate resilience, solve challenges, and be proactive. - Full knowledge on comorbidity and complex needs, able to share knowledge, skills, and experience with others
- Previous experience in a similar role, providing interventions and holistic assessments and support for people experiencing mental health challenges

Sounds great, what will I be doing?
In this role, the individual will manage a caseload of clients requiring early intervention or preventative mental health support, delivering group activities and co-produced programmes that empower service users to achieve their goals. They will clearly communicate the service's aims, objectives, and pathways to ensure users can fully participate and collaborate in their own support. The role involves supporting service users in engaging with various community professionals, including mental health teams, social workers, housing providers, health professionals, and Job Centre Plus. They will work flexibly within a team to ensure service coverage and meet contractual obligations, while also developing and encouraging participation in peer support networks and community-based initiatives. Active monitoring of the health, wellbeing, safety, and security of the service and its users is essential, ensuring all concerns are promptly addressed in line with procedures. The role also includes participating in core service functions, supporting colleagues, and using initiative to complete tasks as they arise. Timely and accurate administration is required, with a strong emphasis on maintaining confidentiality. The individual will also be responsible for ensuring effective and timely referrals, assessments, and service reviews, and will regularly engage in supervision, appraisals, and reviews to support continuous development.

The candidate should be skilled in risk assessment and case management, with experience working alongside statutory services and building partnerships with voluntary and community sector organisations. They will have a track record of delivering value-added initiatives such as events, groups, and volunteer or student placements, and be confident representing the organisation at external events, including delivering presentations to stakeholders and commissioners. Strong time management, prioritisation, and communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, including overseeing the induction of new peer staff and volunteers. Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and internet use, as well as good literacy and numeracy skills, are required. The candidate will also have sound knowledge of local mental health and wellbeing services, recovery tools, and the ability to respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns. They should be able to remain dynamic and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Support Coordinator

The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers whose lives are affected by aphasia, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the particular post. Specialist Support Workers provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. Support is also provided to develop a model of re-enablement towards self-advocacy, self-management and empowerment, incorporating the principles and practice of recovery, co-production and peer support.
The 5-week rolling rota pattern includes both evening and weekend shifts. The shifts are from 07:00 to 15:00 or from 14:00 to 22:00, with a mix of both types. You will have approximately one full weekend off every five weeks, plus one additional Saturday off and one additional Sunday off, resulting in a total of two full working weekends in every five weeks.

Providence Row has been supporting homeless and vulnerably housed people since 1860. About the role
- To account manage a portfolio of corporate donors. Ensuring regular communications with corporate partners through phone, e-mail and face to face meetings to ensure targets are met and strong, lasting relationships are developed.

We provide support for 16 customers, we have two sites Hope House (10 bed supported housing) Doddsfield Rd (6 flats independent living with floating support).
Hope House - Support hours 24 hours 7 days per week based on a shift rota pattern - (sleep-ins staff are paid additional to salary advertised).
Doddsfield Rd - Floating support (during working hours)
Team - 1X Contract Manager, 1X Team Leader, 4 Support Workers.

About the role
We are seeking a Dual Diagnosis Worker who has a specialism in complex mental health and substance misuse to join our team in Croydon. This is a residential service which provides specialist mental health, complex needs, and dual diagnosis support to our residents. You will utilise your previous experience and knowledge, and provide specialist support to those who have been diagnosed with mental ill health and have challenges with substance use. You will deliver evidence-based interventions based on holistic assessments to support personalised recovery, integration, and promotion of independent living skills.
Within this role, you will act as a specialist for comorbidity, supporting the team to achieve positive outcomes for our residents. Some of the duties may include:
- Undertake joint holistic assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and interventions to support harm reduction and minimisation.
- Set up realistic and flexible strengths-based support plans, working closely with colleagues and support teams to support and advise on interventions and approaches to meet individual needs.
- Help reduce episodes of crisis and assist residents/participants to access services which can offer alternatives to crisis support.

- Support multi-disciplinary teams and the wider community teams with support, advice, signposting, and move on care planning.
About you
We’re looking for someone who has specialist knowledge on how to support individuals with comorbid and complex needs, with previous experience in a similar role. We look at individual characteristics to be able to show resilience, solve challenges, and be proactive in your approach. You will have a passion for supporting people to achieve their personal goals, and achieve positive outcomes, this includes having the ability to engage with people who may be hard to reach and engage with. We further are looking for someone who has:
- An appropriate qualification which is relevant to the role which could include: National Diploma, Bachelors, or master’s in psychology, Dual Diagnosis, Substance Misuse or any relevant
- Previous experience in a similar role, providing holistic assessments and support for people experiencing mental health challenges

FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking, with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.
Working within experienced and committed teams, the Behaviour Change Worker will deliver trauma responsive interventions including one to one support and group work to prevent harm.

You will help to develop, organise and facilitate key aspects of the service as requested by the Team Coordinator such one-to-one support interventions, group work, and youth participation opportunities in a variety of settings including in-house, schools and community venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver flexible one to one support sessions, using a range of interventions to assess and positively contribute to the individual wellbeing needs of children and young people impacted by domestic abuse.
- Support service users, particularly within the 11-16 age group to develop personal and life skills, promoting self-esteem and independence, and raising awareness of other support services and opportunities available to them and their families.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of group work, activities and events, including the continued development of service user participation
- Work in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure coordinated care and refer service users to additional sources of help and protection as needed.
- Adhere to safeguarding, confidentiality, and equal opportunities policies while maintaining accurate and confidential records, reporting appropriately, and complying with organisational guidelines.
- Participate in training, supervision, and team activities, contributing flexibly to service development and supporting broader organisational goals as required by management.
About You
- Holds qualifications and relevant experience in social care, childcare, youth work, or a therapeutic field
- Experience working directly with children and young people with an excellent understanding of common issues relating to child development, mental health and wellbeing
- Experienced in one-to-one casework, group facilitation, youth programmes, and multi-agency working, with a proven ability to assess needs and connect individuals to appropriate support services.
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage sensitively and non-judgementally with service users, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to empowering individuals.
- Skilled in managing workloads, maintaining accurate records, writing reports, and meeting deadlines under pressure, with strong time management and attention to detail.
- A motivated, flexible team player who values equality and diversity, and brings creativity and initiative to their practice.
- Driver (essential) with access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes. This role involves frequent travel to and from locations across North Tyneside and Northumberland to meet the varied needs of service users.

About the role:
This role is based Sheffield and is offered on a hybrid basis working from both the office and at home.
As a CYP Independent Victim Advocate (IVA) you will be:
- Ensuring the provision of individual structured, tailored support plans, based on a holistic assessment of impact and risk, within the framework of VS's Service Model.
- You may make initial contact with victims of crime, explaining our services and assessing the impact of crime, or receive referrals from colleagues, in order to provide on-going support and case management.
You will need:
- To be a confident, compassionate & empathic person who can work well under pressure
- To be able to speak with people in a trauma informed way
- To be composed, empathic & able to quickly assess situations
- To live within South Yorkshire, or a reasonable distance from South Yorkshire, to allow you to fulfil the needs of our service and victims in line with our Outreach program
- To be a competent IT user, able to work on a case management system, access phone and online systems, email and Microsoft Office
