They lead a directorate of 16 fundraising staff with direct line management responsibility for the two department heads (Public Fundraising and Partnerships).

They build and hold close and productive relationships with those trustees and selected other high value supporters who are able to give or raise funds through their own networks.

About the Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to work for Mind BLMK as part of the Fundraising & Engagement Team.

The Fundraising and Engagement Manager will lead the development and successful rollout of Mind BLMK’s Fundraising and Engagement strategy, annual plans, generation income and key project work which aim to deliver significant net income growth and increase awareness by maximising local support.

Key Duties

Cord has a loyal and committed UK supporter base of individual donors. The primary focus of this role is to support fundraising which involves

- the processing of donations and donation record keeping using a range of digital payment systems, entering records in to the supporter database, maintaining gift aid records and coordinating with finance colleagues regarding fundraising income.

- providing high quality supporter care to Cord's donors by assisting with the mailing of newsletters, writing thank you letters and notes to donors, and fielding enquiries promptly and politely.

- a range of other fundraising tasks including administering alternative gifts, helping with reports, liaising with payment platforms to ensure smooth processes, and supporting the preparation of resources for fundraising activities.

2. Running the admin office

Cord operates a predominantly remote working structure in the UK. However, there is a small admin office in Coventry which acts as a hub for the team with desks, resources and record storage. This role is responsible for overseeing this office and ensuring that remote office services run effectively. This involves organising the phone system and providing a reception service, managing mail procedures and monitoring office email accounts. It includes keeping the office in good order by managing supplies and storage, liaising with office suppliers, contractors and building agents. It also involves maintaining key holder registers, coordinating office access for the team, fulfilling health and safety requirements such as regular assessments and updating records, inducting and maintaining health and safety awareness amongst staff, when home working and working elsewhere, and providing logistical support for UK team meet-ups including sourcing venues and refreshment suppliers.

3.  Providing admin support around Cord's global operations

Cord has programmes in eight countries throughout Africa and Southeast Asia with offices and staff in four of them. The Fundraising and Operations Administrator plays a critical role in supporting operations to support the smooth running of the organisation's internal services. This involves:

 - IT systems: supporting the digital onboarding and offboarding of staff, purchasing and disposal of computer devices, maintaining records of current system users and liaising with Cord's external IT service provider on the issuing and billing of IT licences.

- Digital record systems: to support the organisation of Cord’s knowledge management system SharePoint, keeping key organisation administration information current, maintaining digital records in accordance with GDPR.

- Human resources: supporting recruitment processes, DBS applications, reference checks, monitoring employment contract terms, liaising with Cord's external HR advisor on employment contracts and policy amendments, supporting staff inductions, HR system record keeping and reporting.

- Finance: to carry out some routine finance tasks such as verifying petty cash counts, being a bank signatory that country reviews payments against approval documents.

About you

To succeed in this role you will be a team player who is self-motivated with an ambition to help the organisation to improve systems, processes and information sharing. The ideal candidate will be proactive and able to anticipate the needs of colleagues working remotely in the UK and abroad. The Major Gifts Manager, International Fundraising will support PETA’s global programmes by securing vital funding from new and existing supporters. This role will advance the fundraising potential of PETA France and PETA Netherlands and work closely with existing teams within the UK and Germany.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fundraising Research & Stewardship Executive to join The London Clinic on a hybrid working model.

Job Profile

Your role will be to research and monitor a pipeline of prospects, and work with the team to update and steward current donors, also identify and research new prospects and community and corporate partners. You will also carry out research to support fundraisers to make informed decisions to engage, cultivate, and solicit gifts from prospects and peer to peer networks.

You’ll provide insights into new areas of prospecting to continually replenish the pipeline with high-capacity prospects in order to meet current and future income and community outreach targets. Working across internal BHF teams, you’ll oversee, and support projects associated with community fundraising activities and audiences. This will involve managing internal processes and relationships to deliver excellent and frictionless customer experience to community audiences. 
 
In this role, you will contribute to achieving a national income target of £8.2M by supporting first class operational effectiveness and ensuring our mass of community relationships are managed cost effectively. 
 
Working arrangements
 
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London Office.
 
At the BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average.  The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause. 
 
In addition to the above, this role will involve regular travel across the UK to meet with and support our Fundraising Teams, as well as travel to our Birmingham Office approximately twice per month.

About you 
 
As our ideal candidate, you have experience of project management experience, fundraising through community campaigns, and analysing data sets to support and drive continuous improvement. 
 
With proven experience of relationship management systems, you bring knowledge of the community fundraising landscape, fundraising legislation, policy, and finance processes. 
 
A skilled communicator and collaborator, you can communicate complex concepts and ideas in a compelling and succinct way and bring experience of developing and maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
 
With strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, you have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing processes, guidance, and tools. 
 
Please note this role require a full drivers licence and access to a car.

This role will oversee the organisation’s fundraising activity, building on good foundations and with a number of new activities in the pipeline to take our fundraising into the next phase. This role will be responsible for continuing the development and growth of a sustainable income generation pipeline from charitable Trusts and Foundations as well as other income streams, in order to meet the organisation’s grant making objectives. Income generation is a top priority for the Charity, ensuring we can fund as much sight-saving research as possible. The post holder will have a strong background in Trust and Foundation fundraising, but also bring experience in building new income streams and knowledge of various types of individual giving, as well as some prospect research expertise to help the organisation grow its network of potential supporters.
