We have an opportunity for a Retail Online Hub Assistant to join us in Midsomer Norton. You will join us working 21 hours per week (Monday-Saturday rota) initially on a fixed term contract until 31st January 2025, and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £12,600 per annum plus excellent benefits.

Responsibilities of our Retail Online Hub Assistant:
As Retail Online Hub Assistant your primary focus will be to process and list donations on the donated online hub operation to maximize our donated online income stream. You will work collaboratively with shop management and volunteers to deliver a robust operation and positive customer experience.

About the Role
LNAA is at an exciting stage in developing and expanding our charity retail offering to communities across Lincs and Notts, as well as setting up an online presence.
We are at the early stages of developing a new retail business development strategy and looking for an experienced senior manager to lead and develop the overall retail strategy to support our clinical and patient critical care work.
Given our current size, the role will initially focus on the operational day-to-day retail operation alongside the strategy development and implementation.
You may have a commercial or charity background but most importantly you will be experienced in securing and setting up new retail outlets as well as understand e-commerce. A track record of increasing profit margins, empowering staff to exceed expectations and ensuring our brand is well represented on the high street.

The Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of The Royal British Legion. Home to over 350 memorials, including the nationally-important Armed Forces Memorial, it remembers the service and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve our country. The 150-acre site features around 30,000 maturing trees and an abundance of wildlife. Each year the Arboretum welcomes around 300,000 visitors, many of whom attend one of the 200+ events which take place across the site.
In March 2017, the National Memorial Arboretum formally opened its new award-winning Remembrance Centre.

The Role
To work as part of the retail team, in supporting merchandising, processing deliveries, serving customers, and maintaining high levels of presentation and customer service.
The Arboretum Shop welcomes many thousands of visitors throughout the year, from schools, families, armed services, veterans, and the public. We carry a varied range of merchandise that links back to our site.
This is a casual role designed to support the retail team through peek trading periods, holiday support, key event days, and evening events such as Illuminated Arboretum, to name but a few.

The successful candidate will use their commercial knowledge and experience to oversee multiple shops in order to drive sales and maximise profits. Founded in 1924, Woodgreen Pet Charity’s mission is to care for vulnerable pets, whether they have been abandoned, neglected, are vulnerable or simply need a home. - Achieve Sales Targets: With a sharp focus on financial goals, you will lead your area to meet and exceed sales targets. You will maximise retail profit by driving donated sales, new goods sales, Gift aid and fundraising income whilst also controlling variable costs. You will monitor each shops sales performance against a weekly budget, taking action as necessary to improve sales performance where shops are under-performing.
- Recruit and Develop Talent: Building a high-performing team is key. Working alongside Woodgreen’s People Team, you will recruit, develop, and retain top-notch staff across all roles, nurturing their skills and potential to drive performance.
- Ensure Compliance: Across your designated area you will ensure in-shop compliance with organisational policies and Woodgreen’s Ways of Being, with a strong understanding of safeguarding in the charity retail environment.
- Analyse Data for Insights: Using relevant financial data you will make informed commercial decisions in order to guide your area towards profitability and sustainability.
- Set Standards: By maintaining sector-leading standards in customer service and in-store merchandising, you will ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
- Drive Donations: By encouraging and supporting your Shop Management team to initiate and lead area-driven initiatives your area will generate quality donated goods, fuelling Woodgreen’s mission to support animals in need.

Your role
As Shop Manager of Scope's Amersham shop, you’ll have autonomy to run your shop using your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. It’s important for you to know that Scope Charity Shops are open every day. So some weekend and Bank Holiday cover is needed. Our full time hours are 35 hours a week, working five days out of seven. Weekly hours for part-time vacancies are on a seven-day rota.
