This is an exciting role in the Data Analytics directorate, a team of around 25 staff. Data Analytics plays a core role in delivering the Foundation’s overall mission and strategy. We use cutting-edge approaches to provide insights about the health of the UK population, as well as health and care system performance.
The Improvement Analytics Unit (IAU) is a sub-team of 14 staff within Data Analytics. It is a unique partnership between NHS England and the Health Foundation. We evaluate innovative and complex initiatives in health care in order to support learning, improvement and policy development.
Our Senior Data Engineer will work within the Improvement Analytics Unit (IAU).They will support our Assistant Director and Senior Analytical Managers to deliver an ambitious work programme, leading on data engineering, data management and information governance. The data landscape across health and social care is constantly changing, so this role will be a flexible and responsive one, keeping us close to the cutting edge of data science. This is a role where we’ll be investing in your skills and development - you’ll play a key role in delivering our projects.
Our Senior Data Engineer will lead on developing and implementing our data strategy, working with other data engineers and data managers across the Data Analytics Directorate to ensure our data strategy is aligned with the overarching data strategy for the wider directorate. They will explore new ways of working, working with new service providers and newly established Trusted Research Environments, and finding new sources of data that can provide the Health Foundation with improved insights.They will empower our team of analysts and statisticians to deliver timely, robust analysis, and will ensure we’re able to work with very large datasets with both agility and efficiency.

This role will involve regular travel most weeks. The focus of this role is in the Midlands and East region; we may occasionally need you travel / travel further during your work including occasional overnights stays.
A key part of being the Charity that makes it easier to walk, wheel and cycle is that most colleagues cycle, walk, wheel, or use public transport for many of their work journeys. We support this with access to a Sustrans pool bicycle and National Standards Cycling Training.
Job Description - About the Role
Overview

You will use your technical expertise to lead on the production and technical review of project outputs, to design and deliver outstanding high-quality walking, wheeling, and cycling infrastructure and ensure that we create healthier, happier places and support our aims for Liveable Towns and Cities and Paths for Everyone strategies.
You will support the regional Head of Design and Engineering in the day-to-day operation of the team, currently 14 people, to provide guidance, technical knowledge and line management to our junior Engineers, Urban Designers and Technicians.
You will lead and support the production and delivery of project proposals, identify new opportunities and represent the team at business case assessment meetings.
You will support engagement of internal and external partners and regulatory authorities, providing technical authority and support.

The Role:
Oxfam is looking for a Senior Climate Resilience Adviser to drive the development and execution of resilience programmes and strategies integrating community driven approaches to resilience and increasing Oxfam’s work in the area of humanitarian, development and peace nexus. As the Senior Climate Resilience Adviser, you will be the linchpin in our efforts to design, implement, and lead climate resilience programmes and strategies across fragile and conflict-affected areas.
This role involves:
- Strategic Leadership: Working with country and regional partners to support the development and delivery of climate resilience programmes and strategies within conflict and fragile contexts, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and the triple nexus approach.
- Technical Guidance: Provide expert advice and support on integrating climate resilience and anticipatory action into triple nexus programming for conflict and fragile contexts, employing a decolonised and intersectional lens to ensure interventions are culturally sensitive and locally led.
- Partnership Development: Foster strategic influencing partnerships with climate resilience leads in UK with FCDO, UN and international bodies, academic and other strategic organisations to enhance programme impact policy discussions and research, and drive policy and practice change to enable funding mechanisms and partnerships.
- Fundraising and influencing: support or lead fundraising efforts and, using programmatic and sector-wide learning, influence donor practices and policies to better achieve Nexus programming and adoption of decolonised resilience approaches .
- Learning and Innovation: Develop and test innovative approaches that integrate climate resilience and triple nexus programming in fragile and conflict contexts. Promote a learning culture, encouraging the documentation, communication and integration of lessons learned into programmes and policy (especially UK government humanitarian and development policy).

Collaboration: working collaboratively across disciplines, broker dialogue and build shared agendas between teams for integrated programming and influencing, listen and build consensus amongst diverse stakeholders.

- Demonstrable experience of integrating the triple nexus (humanitarian, development, peace) approach in programme design and implementation.
- Experience in facilitating, mentoring, and coaching teams, with a strong track record of working collaboratively with country teams and leaders in the Global South.
