We’re looking for a part-time Senior Operations Manager with extensive operational, business, Health & Safety, IT and HR experience. A member of the Senior Management Team, this person will play a vital role in enabling Time & Talents to deliver our strategy, maintain best practice and develop robust long-term plans.
What we do
Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, SE16. Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects.
T&T has grown substantially over the last 5 years, and we are in an exciting time for the charity. We are reviewing our long-term aims and changing local needs to ensure programme delivery continues our extensive track record of positive outcomes. We also need to review our current contracted provision and best practices in the charity’s business and operations.
We are strengthening our offer whilst staying focused on our aims: ensuring that everyone feels part of a community and that no one is isolated or lonely. We are looking for a fresh pair of eyes to help us maintain best practice in our work.
The role
In this role, you’ll:
- Hold responsibility for T&T’s internal business and operations functions
- Motivate and manage the operations team
- Contribute to the wider organisation as a member of the Senior Management Team
- Act as Deputy Safeguarding Lead for the organisation

As the Community Shop and Online Manager for our flagship store in Mere Green you will lead a team of paid staff and volunteers. You’ll be empowered to make decisions locally whilst working within a supportive framework. New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. Fauna & Flora is seeking a highly experienced professional to manage it’s fundraising from a portfolio of statutory (government and multilateral) donors, such as Defra, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service etc.
You will support colleagues and partners to develop high-quality proposal packages for priority donors, and ensure their timely submission. You will coordinate proposals and reporting internally, and ensure all documents produced for donors meet their criteria, as well as follow Fauna & Flora approval and submission procedures. There is a strong capacity development element to this work, and you will share knowledge, learning and resources across Fauna & Flora to maximise success rate and promote best practice in grant management and donor stewardship. You may also develop and deliver training packages, in Cambridge and potentially overseas. You will monitor Fauna & Flora’s activities in statutory fundraising and fund management within your portfolio, and support internal decision-making and strategy development by sharing this learning.
Experience of working with government funding sources, be they bilateral and/or multilateral, is essential for this role. You will have proven experience of securing restricted funding from government sources, and a strong understanding of how statutory donors and funding programmes support the achievement of international targets and government priorities. Knowledge of and experience in biodiversity conservation, the development sector, and/or climate is an asset; a commitment to learning and supporting these sectors is essential. You may have worked in the non-profit sector, such as international development, or have a background in bid management, proposal development, and grant fundraising.
Strong relationship-management and communications skills are essential to the role, to develop positive, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regional teams, non-governmental partners, and government agencies. We're looking for a Shop Support Manager! This is an exciting new opportunity to join our brilliant team in our Teddington shop in a brand new role, as part of our ongoing plans to grow our Retail teams and deliver inspiring retail spaces across the UK!
We want to bring the wonders of charity shops back to our high-street and we need driven and passionate people to get us there!
This position is for an initial 12-month fixed term contract.

About the Role
As Shop Support Manager, you will provide focused support on defined areas, working alongside the Shop Manager to understand the shop, community, and proposition.
This is an exciting new role with huge opportunity to impact the success of our Teddington shop, and to act as an ambassador for our brand in the local community!
Working closely with the Shop Manager in our Teddington shop, you'll take on a varied role delivering on key areas of work to enable the delivery of the shop's potential. You'll help embed new processes and ways of working that empower the volunteer team to help the Shop Manager drive the shop forward.
From supporting volunteer recruitment, to taking on responsibility for day-to-day operations or leadership of the shop, you'll provide key support and additional capacity to the Shop Manager to enable the shop's continued success.
About You
You will be someone with exceptional project coordination skills, who understands the importance of community and enjoys supporting people to exercise similar passions through volunteering.
You'll bring:
- Project coordination or operations experience within retail or a transferable setting, e.g. community engagement, volunteer management, retail operations etc.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build & maintain positive working relationships with a variety of people.
- A flexible, positive and resilient attitude, able to work at pace in a fast-moving environment.
- Results driven approach with experience of working to targets.
- Experience and confidence using a range of IT platforms including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as systems for the management of other areas (e.g. reporting, volunteer management).
Previous charity retail experience is not essential. If you have transferable project management experience and are looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you!

As Store Manager, you will manage our brilliant team of staff and volunteers, providing effective leadership, training, and development.

This is a key role working at Scope’s first iteration of a Community Hub, you will be responsible for forming relationships and connections across the Leeds area. You will have an engaging approach to building partnership working and you will work closely with disabled people’s organisations, business communities, regional policy makers, media, Scope supporters and the public. Working with Scope’s Teams in Leeds and key partners, to establish a successful range of events and community partnerships at the Hub and within the Leeds area.
Permanent, 35 hours per week
Location: Scope Leeds Community Hub, 3 Brewery Wharf Leeds LS10 1NE and the role will also involve travel within the Leeds area.
The role
You will:
- Expand the network of the hub by establishing and nurturing relationships and co-creating and implementing engaging events, workshops and partnerships at the Hub and within the Region.
- Be the conduit between Scope and its community with the main aim of forging relationships for change. This would also include promoting Scope’s offer of Services, Retail Shops, volunteering and campaigns.
- Network to forge partnerships and collaborations within the Leeds Community to expand Scope’s reach and impact.
- Develop digital content for the Hub and maintain a social media presence.
- Develop marketing strategies for the Hub.
- Support to measure the success of the Hub.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the Hub, including being a key holder and maintaining effective supervision of the space. Some unsociable hours will be required.
