Role purpose
The Centre of Excellence is WorldSkills UK’s flagship programme, dedicated to transforming the quality of teaching, learning, and assessment across Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). As Senior Workforce Development Manager, you will lead the programme management of the Centre of Excellence, playing a pivotal role in advancing its mission. You’ll oversee a growing network of member institutions committed to achieving excellence by integrating international expertise and best practices from around the globe. Your leadership will ensure the Centre of Excellence influences every aspect of teaching, learning, and assessment, setting new benchmarks that elevate the quality of education across the sector.
Key tasks and responsibilities
1. Programme management:
Provide effective programme management ensuring the Centre of Excellence operates at the highest standards, with strategic oversight of all workstreams, including stakeholder engagement, resource management, and performance monitoring.
• Leading the programme’s strategic planning and execution, ensuring that all workstreams—including budget management, timelines, and resource allocation—are closely aligned with overall objectives. Proactively address challenges to maintain programme momentum and achieve milestones effectively.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to support programme success. Facilitate effective communication and alignment across teams, partners, and member institutions, promoting active engagement and collaboration throughout all programme phases.
• Establishing and overseeing a robust framework for monitoring and evaluating programme performance, focusing on impact assessment and continuous improvement. Provide regular reports on outcomes and insights, manage risks to ensure programme goals are met, and utilise evaluation data to inform strategic adjustments that enhance programme effectiveness.
• Overseeing the marketing and communication activity to promote the programme, ensuring it is visible and well-positioned among key audiences and stakeholders. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that highlight programme achievements, generate interest, and enhance engagement within the Centre of Excellence network and wider education and skills sector.
2. Network member Management:
Lead and execute a comprehensive member engagement strategy, driving value through targeted onboarding, recognition programmes, and an evolving account management framework to foster long-term member satisfaction and retention. Oversee tracking and analysis to inform strategic improvements and identify growth opportunities that align with the Centre of Excellence’s mission to expand impact.
• Developing and implementing a member engagement strategy, ensuring that institutions gain significant value from their involvement in the Centre of Excellence to include a recognition and awards programme to reward and celebrate members’ excellent practice and engagement with the Centre of Excellence.
• Providing strategic oversight to the enrolment and validation process for new members, ensuring that new institutions meet the Centre of Excellence’s standards, and work closely with the Network Member Manager to streamline onboarding, guaranteeing a positive initial experience that sets the stage for long-term involvement.
• Overseeing the tracking and evaluation of member engagement, using data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Provide regular updates on membership retention, engagement levels, and impact to leadership, and work with the Network Member Manager to develop strategies based on these insights.
• Identifying growth opportunities and enhancements to the programme offerings that can address emerging industry needs, supporting the Centre of Excellence’s mission and expanding its reach and impact.
3. Workforce Development:
The Senior Workforce Development Manager will lead a team of High Performance Skills Coaches to design, implement, and continuously improve a world-class teacher training programme. By incorporating global insights and innovative practices, this role ensures that the programme enhances teaching quality and raises educator capacity to deliver world-class education.
• Utilising insights from international benchmarking and emerging trends from global partners to incorporate cutting-edge methodologies and world-class standards into the teacher training programme.
• Leading a team of Skills Coaches to guide the development and delivery of high impact teacher training experiences, focusing on practical and solutions focussed strategies underpinned by international best practice that improve teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Overseeing the planning and scheduling of training activities to align with the academic calendar, ensuring that sessions are well-timed and accessible to educators throughout the year. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications teams to promote training opportunities, generate demand, and expand programme reach, actively engaging member institutions and their teaching staff.
• Establishing robust tracking and evaluation systems to monitor programme outcomes, using data to measure the effectiveness of training content and delivery. Analyse engagement and impact metrics to inform ongoing improvements, ensuring alignment with Centre of Excellence goals and maintaining the programme’s reputation for excellence.
4. General responsibilities for a Senior Manager

• Manage, support and motivate allocated staff to successfully deliver activities/tasks.
• Manage resources (including staff, volunteers, suppliers, and partners) so that all project elements are delivered to acceptable standards on time, to budget and meet the required specifications and objectives.

• Maintain WorldSkills UK’s established management policies for dealing with risks and issues for the Workforce Development team and the wider organisation.

• Promote and comply with WorldSkills UK’s Employee Handbook and the policies contained therein with particular reference to those related to Health and Safety and on equity, diversity and inclusion.

This role is office based (as above) but with flexible hybrid working. It is expected the postholder will attend the office at least once or twice a week.
Full time working hours are a minimum of 35 hours per week, normal working hours are 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday although we pride ourselves on having a flexible approach to our working practices and service delivery and are happy to discuss flexible working options, including part time, with suitable candidates.

To work alongside the Donor Development & Legacies Lead (DDLL) to help develop MSF’s donor development strategy to increase the lifetime value (LTV) of MSF UK supporters, by enhancing their knowledge and understanding of humanitarian action and their awareness of the importance of their own support to MSF. The DD&LL is accountable for the delivery of the full DD&L strategy and has personal responsibility for implementing the mid-value and legacies work programs.
The SDM is responsible for delivering MSF’s supporter development program, overseeing all communications to warm donors (under £10k), focusing on building relationships with individual supporters and developing other warm audiences to increase their financial contribution and loyalty.

Families are referred or self-refer to us at a moment of crisis or uncertainty, normally pre-diagnosis, fearing all is not well with their child. We provide an array of family-centric services tailored to each family’s and child’s needs.
We are looking for a Centre Manager to take over from our current postholder who has been with the charity for over 27 years as both volunteer and staff member and will play an active part of inducting and handing over and to the successful candidate.
The person we are looking for is a unique blend of heart and mind, who is committed to ensure that every person that comes into contact with First Step feels welcomed and is treated with dignity and respect. They also need to ensure that First Step operates in a professional, organised, and effective manner.
You will be a friendly, capable and professional leader who is able to provide support and nurturing to a small team of staff and volunteers. Our overarching aim is to provide an ‘education for life’ which looks ahead to a child’s true potential in terms of independent functional access to learning and society. Each child’s needs are different and this is reflected in their journey through Pace, but for each child we look to offer the greatest independence for the rest of their lives by maximising physical, communication, self-care and academic progress, giving them and their families/carers skills, strategies and a positive problem-solving outlook, ensuring they thrive beyond Pace.
Pace supports around 600 children and young people a year across the following services.
- Our independent, highly specialist, Ofsted-outstanding school, catering for children with cerebral palsy (CP) and other similar sensory motor disorders.
- Our Child & Family Therapy Service, providing advice, assessments and sessional therapy to children (aged 0-18) and support for families. Alongside CP and sensory motor disorders, our therapy service caters for children with a wider variety of needs, including autistic spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, social emotional and mental health challenges, behavioural challenges and school refusers. Our early intervention provision supports babies and toddlers (aged 0-3) known to have, or at high risk of a neurodiasbility.
- Our commissioned therapy services into local special schools, supports children and young people with specialist occupational therapy and physiotherapy.
- Free online advice and support is available via our digital hub.
In addition, we are committed to encouraging the development of best practice nationally – to promote the systemic change that will enhance the life potential of the thousands of children and young people with neurodisabilities across the UK.
As a Trusts and Foundations Manager you will be at the heart of our strategic vision. You will lead on building new and stewarding existing relationships to secure substantial funding from Trust and Foundations to support our core services, across Child and Family Therapy Services and the School. There will also be opportunities to support an upcoming capital appeal.
Position: Trusts and Foundations Manager
Reports to: Head of Income Generation
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire or Hybrid
Hours: Open to discussion about full-time (38 hrs per week), part-time, flexible working.
Salary: £40,000 FTE per annum
Contract: 2 Year Fixed Term
Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays, increases with length of service
Pension: company pension scheme with contribution of up to 4%
What you will be working on:
- You’ll secure significant income from a portfolio of Charitable Trusts and Foundations against agreed annual targets and in line with Pace strategy.
- You’ll proactively identify, develop and support relationships with Charitable Trusts and Foundations (including with their trustees and officers) and provide exceptional ongoing stewardship.
- You’ll collaborate with Pace Trustees and Patrons, the senior leadership team and cross-functional teams, including, Pace School, Child and Family Therapy Services, fundraising and marketing, to support funding applications, data collection/monitoring and impact reporting.
- You’ll adhere to the highest standards of fundraising best practice as set out in the Institute of Fundraising’s Codes of Practice and ensure that all activities comply fully with the relevant Data Protection and any other legislation.
- You’ll manage a Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser (currently on maternity leave) and deputise for the Head of Income Generation if appropriate.
This job is for you if:

- You have demonstrable experience of securing up to six figure gifts from Charitable Trusts and Foundations and meeting income targets.
- You have experience of developing and implementing strategies, action plans, budgets and funding pipelines.
- You have worked successfully with a range of internal and external partners and stakeholders to achieve objectives.
- You have the ability to understand and convey complex information and communicate this clearly and concisely.
- You have excellent IT skills, including database management (ideally RaisersEdge/Nxt or a similar fundraising database).

About the role
The newly-created role of Digital Content & Campaigns Manager will sit within the National Communications Team to support the delivery of key charity and federation-wide objectives.
As part of our mission to empower people affected by homelessness and poverty, the role will work to harness the potential of multimedia content to demonstrate the breadth of our activities and impact, but also raise the voices of people who have experienced homelessness
The role will be instrumental in the implementation of an evolved Emmaus brand language and visuals across websites, social media and other digital channels, and will work to embed measurement and monitoring processes to grow our reach.
Working with the National Communications Manager, the role will be central to the delivery of communications, fundraising and influence objectives with a strategic focus, while being hands-on in delivering standout content.

We have an exciting opportunity to lead our busy accommodation advice team to provide advice and assistance to males aged 18+ coming to the end of their prison sentence or in the community on licence with probation.
You will be liaising with probation teams, prisons, local housing authorities and landlords to support our clients to navigate housing processes in order to address their housing issues. You will be attending regular strategic meetings within Leicester and Leicestershire and reporting on progress during quarterly contract monitoring meetings.

The Finance Manager role is a newly created role which is being introduced to strengthen the organisation’s financial management and control systems. The postholder will work across the breadth of the finance function preparing internal management accounts and external annual accounts.
In 2024, Cord changed its finance system to use Business Central. The Finance Manager will become the organisation’s main ‘admin’ user of the finance system. In the near-term, there will be a particular focus on rolling out further functionality of the system.

The role of Management Accountant is to provide high quality support to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis in the annual budget setting process, whilst being responsible for the monthly management accounts, including production, analysis, reporting and communication.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the full analysis, with all appropriate backup, of the current organisational budget: pay, non-pay, income and capital; ensuring that all documentation is fully backed up.
- Ensure complete transparency with budget holders of all components and assumptions inherent in the budget.
- As directed by the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, input any agreed changes to the budgets, in full liaison with budget holders.
- For each annual budget, liaise with budget holders to agree monthly phasing assumptions. These will be fixed at the beginning of the financial year, unless authorised by the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis.
- Prepare and deliver accurate, timely management information and financial reports to support strategic decision-making and operational performance monitoring.
- On a monthly basis, prepare the management accounts for the organisation. For presentation to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, ensure arithmetic accuracy, full reconciliation to the general ledger, analysis of all material variances and identification of underlying trends.
- Once the management accounts have been approved, liaise with budget holders to effectively communicate their monthly results, and provide sound guidance and advice on effective budget management and forecasting of future spend.
