Summary of Role

This is an exciting new role in our Talking Therapies team providing vital support to people in Manchester with common mental health problems. Working alongside counsellors, you will provide wrap-around social and practical support to adults on our waiting list for or who are engaging in Talking Therapy to enable them to address and overcome barriers impacting on their health and wellbeing. You will provide advice, information and guidance on these issues, make onward referrals to specialist advice organisations where necessary and support engagement with these services. 

You will build and maintain relationships with key referrers, such as GP surgeries, to promote the service and facilitate appropriate referrals.

Once trained, you have the exciting task of leading and facilitating a new course within the service: Living Life to the Full™, a CBT-informed group programme designed to support people to improve low mood, overcome stress, sleep better and build confidence. 

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check

We are recruiting a part-time (2 days per week) Carer Support Coordinator to join our supportive team who are committed to making life better for Manchester’s unpaid carers. This post is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about support for carers, enjoys working as part of a team and wants to have real input in developing the service.

We are looking for someone with a good understanding of the needs of unpaid carers and recognises the value of peer support between carers. You might also have experience running groups, providing one-to-one support or information, or supporting volunteers.

As Residential Support Worker you will work with a team of staff in supporting a young person with their day-to-day personal needs. You will help to maintain a safe and fun environment for both staff and the young person within the home and whilst out and about in the community.

You will be based at a Forever home in a beautiful setting in Gloucestershire; the home is for a young person with complex needs and a high level of challenging behaviour with a care ratio of 4:1.

About the Service

Solace provides safe refuge and move on accommodation to hundreds of women and children made homeless through domestic or sexual abuse. We run 22 refuges across London, including specialist refuge spaces for women with multiple needs. Of these, this role will involve working across three refuges in the borough of Haringey, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

The primary role of a Family Support Worker is to provide effective, efficient, and supportive service to children and their mothers residing in refuge with Solace Women’s Aid. The staff member will lead on the development of a child and family-centred approach to work in the refuge. In so doing, they will:

• Develop and deliver a range of trauma-informed services to children and young people (0-17 years) and their mothers within the refuge and when they are resettled into the community.
• Ensure ongoing development of age-appropriate children’s activities.
• Ensure the completion of comprehensive assessments of family needs and risk of families, ensuring an integrated approach with children and adult services (internal and external)
• Promote ‘Integrated Working’ through internal and external mechanisms in partnership with colleagues and community partnerships.
• Coordinate the delivery of activities through session staff, volunteers, and student placements.

The Role

As a Works Project Support Officer, you will support the day-to-day management and maintenance of the Park Assets with focus on assisting with the delivery of minor works and projects.

Managing the administration of works, you’ll prepare and co-ordinate project documentation, organise diaries and works meetings, take minutes and produce progress reports, action logs and checking on the O&Ms.

Acting as the office manager, you’ll ensure we have all the resources we need, respond to enquiries, field requests and support staff inductions.

About You
