About the role

This is a client-facing role wherebusiness development and sales will be your priority. Regional Net Zero Carbon Fundraising Officer

Are you an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of stakeholder engagement and experience of coordinating and developing large-scale funding proposals? Do you have a passion for the environment and reducing carbon emissions? If so, read on.

The Church of England’s Net Zero Carbon (NZC) programme has been established to help the Church deliver its commitment to reaching its NZC goals. It aims to equip, resource and support all parts of the Church to reduce carbon emissions from the energy used in its buildings, schools and through work-related transport.

All parts of the Church will need to raise funds to implement this Net Zero plan. To this end, the Dioceses of Chelmsford, Ely, Norwich, St Albans and St Edmundsbury and Ipswich are collaborating on the shared ambition to achieve NZC across our diocesan estates and are looking to appoint a Fundraising Officer to work across the region to identify funding opportunities and secure funding towards delivering net carbon zero projects.

This is a new role and, as such, offers an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to make their mark. You will develop and maintain relationships with a range of potential funders and internal and external stakeholders across the region. You’ll need drive, initiative, resilience and the ability to shape an approach to NZC fundraising across the region. Above all, you’ll need to be an excellent communicator and relationship builder with a proven ability to adapt your approach as appropriate, be this creating links with the national NZC Team, influencing and securing funding from grant-making bodies, or delivering training and advice on securing funding locally. Given the scope and nature of the role you’ll also need to be highly organised, flexible and sympathetic to the ethos of the Church of England.

We recognise that this is a specialised role, and training and support will be available for the post-holder both locally and from the national Church of England NZ Fundraising team.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are also required. The role will be home-based and can be anywhere within the region, with regular travel across the region required. The role will be employed by the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich so line management meetings will be in Ipswich.

Role: Digital Acquisition Advisor 
The Digital Acquisition Advisor will take the lead in planning, delivering, and optimising paid search campaigns (across Google and Microsoft) and paid social activity, with a particular emphasis on Meta platforms, to advance Christian Aid’s mission. Leveraging your expertise in digital strategy and performance marketing, you’ll work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to run data-informed campaigns that drive supporter acquisition and increase income.
You’ll be responsible for setting performance targets, managing budgets, and using analytics to continually improve campaign effectiveness. Around 80% of campaign delivery will be managed in-house, with the remaining 20% delivered through external partners — all under your direction to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and high standards.
This role plays a key part in Christian Aid’s digital growth, focused on delivering tangible results and maximising return on investment across all paid channels.

The role:

• Lead the end-to-end management of paid search and paid social campaigns, overseeing briefing, planning, creative development, budgeting, execution, and reporting across multiple platforms.
• Oversee day-to-day digital marketing operations across all paid channels, including Meta, TikTok, affiliate networks, and YouTube. Responsibilities include updating creatives, optimizing bid strategies, and producing in-depth performance reports.
• Execute paid search campaigns on Google and Microsoft Ads using a variety of formats, such as Standard Search, Performance Max, and Shopping campaigns—ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
• Manage the Google Grants account to maintain strong visibility across Christian Aid’s key focus areas.
• Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to design and implement a robust digital acquisition strategy aimed at driving user growth and increasing revenue.

About you:

• • Proven ability to take a long-term, strategic view of paid channels, leading and influencing key decisions around budget allocation and overall campaign direction.
• • Skilled in providing strategic recommendations that optimise performance and deliver measurable, high-impact results.
  • Proven expertise in managing and optimising paid social campaigns (Meta Ads, YouTube, TikTok, etc.) with at least three years of experience, either in-house or on the agency side, leveraging advanced targeting techniques such as custom and lookalike audiences.
  •  Proven expertise in managing and optimising paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, including Google Grants accounts, with over three years of experience in-house or agency-side. Skilled in applying tactics such as keyword intent targeting, audience segmentation, comprehensive testing frameworks, and automated bidding strategies.
  •  Hands-on experience with ads creation using creative tools such as Canva and Photoshop and collaborating with creative agencies to develop compelling ad creatives for acquisition campaigns

About the role

The Legacy Case Assistant role is pivotal in supporting the award winning Legacy Case Management team to deliver our transformational legacy income of £15 million each year. Legacies are Christian Aid's largest single source of voluntary income and are one of our key fundraising priorities. As we look ahead to an exciting period of growth across the legacy sector, the role of the Legacy Case Management team has never been more important.

About you

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent attention to detail and a flair for managing a busy administration workload. A good communicator, you will be at ease liaising with both internal teams and external personal and professional executors. This is a varied role, from maintaining records on our database and managing a small caseload to producing monthly reports for the team. You will be proactive, working with initiative and prioritising your workload to meet monthly deadlines. You will be joining a friendly and hardworking Legacy Case Management team at a really exciting time for gifts in Wills at Christian Aid.

Head of Media and Public Affairs
£64,210 pa pro rata plus excellent benefits

As Head of Media and Public Affairs you will lead, plan, develop and implement effective media and public affairs strategies to actively promote the RCPCH and its priorities for maximum influence and impact.

The Head of Media and Public Affairs is an important leadership role at the College. You will work closely with journalists and media organisations to champion the College in the media as well as securing political support for our policy messages, through stakeholder relationships within the UK Government, Whitehall and the Westminster Parliament.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Policy & External Affairs, you will manage, direct and motivate the team to successfully achieve performance goals. You will play a pivotal role in driving the College’s Westminster public affairs work to secure our advocacy goals and you will also manage the out-of-hours media rota, being flexible to be on-call to media as required. You will also take responsibility for preparing and monitoring the Media and Public Affairs team budget, ensuring that all operational expenditure is value for money.

Degree educated or with relevant professional experience you will have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing proactive media and public affairs strategies and a strong track record in leading, planning, implementing and evaluating integrated communications strategies.

With proven leadership and performance management skills, you should also have a background of working with and influencing senior managers and have proven stakeholder management skills, being able to develop and nurture high level contacts in media and government.

Experience of briefing senior staff to act as spokespeople through the media and in direct engagement with political stakeholders is essential. Direct experience of working within an organisation that delivers health or children’s services would be desirable.

THE JOB:

Key Responsibilities

• Handling day to day administrative tasks for our busy Executive Director including scheduling, diary management, travel, fielding and responding to enquiries, meeting minutes and follow up;

• External Partner Communications such as follow up with media partners, contributors or expert reviewers and more;

• Supporting Internal Communications and Ways of Working;

• Working with Director of Projects & Planning to ensure the smooth running of the office including IT, HR, Governance etc;

• Assisting with fundraising admin such as tracking deliverables, reporting requirements and deadlines.
