We’re looking for someone to train as a Community Energy Champion to be able to provide energy advice to people in communities.

You will visit clients at home to complete Home Energy Audits, providing information and individualised support, and facilitating access to options which will improve people’s wellbeing and energy security. This will include recommending grants and helping complete applications and forms.  

As a Community Energy Champion, you will deliver face-to-face and virtual energy workshops to parent groups, carers groups, community groups and others. There is also the opportunity to  work with energy and water providers and other organisations to arrange themed workshop sessions.

This role will suit someone with excellent communication, planning skills, time management and an adaptable working style. Applicants should have relevant experience of delivering information and advice to a range of client groups. You must be confident using IT and will be trained to use our client database.

This is a part-time role (22.5 hours) and is 1 year fixed-term based at our office in New Ash Green, and the applicant will be expected to travel to other areas. Own car essential.

Key elements of the role:

Job Purpose

As part of the four strong events team, this role is responsible for coordinating the delivery of numerous educational events throughout the year. These events support the clinical and non-clinical skills and professional development of our members as key components of lifelong learning and improvement.

In addition, the role will support the Events Manager in the administration of the showcase Annual Congress as well as the Admissions Ceremony. As part of the team, you will also assist other team members as necessary.

Main Purpose and Deliverables

• Delivery of the Training the Trainers Courses (TTT) and Certificate of eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) Courses.
• End to end event, speaker and customer support specifically for the TTT and CESR events and as delegated for the education and seminar programme.
• Assist in the management of the education and seminar programme as well as the Admissions Ceremony with the Events Manager.
• Management of Congress registration.

Main responsibilities

• Liaising with the comms team to market events.
• Respond to all enquiries.
• Manage the online course booking process (this includes payments receipts, etc.)
• Send out event information to attendees.

Other duties

To help achieve our mission, Crisis is looking for a Data Insight Analyst to join the Data, Digital and Technology team. We are embarking on a project to change our CRM to Microsoft Dynamics and to move our Database onto Azure. To account for this changing infrastructure, the Insight team will work on updating our suite of reports, largely based in Power BI.

As a Data Insight Analyst, you will assist in updating and creating PowerBI dashboards and apps. As our current suite of dashboards need to be reworked, this role offers a good opportunity to shape a data visualisation project from start to finish, helping Crisis make evidence-based decisions in our pursuit to end homelessness.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills, particularly when it comes to conveying complex, quantitative information to a non-technical audience. You will be able to identify requirements and deliver synthesised findings in an accessible and engaging manner. Additionally, you will have technical experience in PowerBI and SQL, from querying relational databases to building impactful visualisations. 

You may also have experience working with Microsoft Dynamics, Azure SQL Database, website analytics, product analytics, customer analysis, digital analytics, Jira, data science, Tableau, Python/R or excel.

Context of the role.

We are looking for maternity cover for a full-time counsellor role on our Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) counselling service, Mind My Home. The service offers SFBT to adults (18+) with low to moderate mental health needs.

• Under the direction of the Officers, or Technical Officers, carry out documentary checking with regard to consignments of imported food (not of animal origin), and maintain all necessary electronic and paper-based records.
• Input data into internal and external database systems and carry out general internal database maintenance, e.g. modifying tables, queries and reports.
• Maintain and update electronic and paper-based filing and record systems, including the equipment inventory. Assist with the archiving of items, and deal with confidential documents appropriately.
• Under the direction of Official Veterinarians or Officers, record Products of Animal Origin and other imported food consignments on the computerised cargo handling system and port manifesting systems.
• Under the direction of Official Veterinarians or Officers, they undertake the initial documentary check for third country consignments of products of animal origin in accordance with ISO procedures and ensure that documents for charging purposes are sent to the Finance Section on a daily basis.

Our client, a leading London university, is looking to recruit a full-time (35 hours per week) temporary Programme Officer to support them during this busy time. Month-end tasks
Process supplier invoices and staff expenses and prepare weekly payment runs in Sage 50 Accounts software.
Send remittance advice to suppliers.
Import staff expenses transactions from Expense's into Sage and reconcile staff accounts to Purchase Ledger in Sage.
Reconcile supplier records within the Purchase Ledger ensuring it is accurate and up to date.
Working with the Database & Insights Officer, post monthly bank receipts and income journals to Sage 50.
Monthly reconciliation of bank, Stripe and PayPal accounts to bank statements.
Reconcile credit card statements monthly.
Prepare and post monthly prepayment journals to Sage.
Prepare monthly reconciliations of income in Sage against Fundraising figures, explaining any variances.
Prepare monthly cashflow statements for review by the Head of Finance.
Reporting

The role is accountable for handling media enquiries; checking and responding to the press inbox; media monitoring and securing press coverage. The Press Officer will assist with media work through print, online and broadcast news to help build understanding, awareness and consideration of the organisation’s mission and goal. The Press Officer will support and advise colleagues, food banks in the network and external stakeholders to ensure they receive media coverage of strategically important projects.

Role responsibilities 

· Handle incoming enquiries and provide accurate, timely and appropriate responses, briefing journalists in line with the Trussell Trust’s key messages and priorities.

· Build relationships across the organisation, within the food bank network, with external stakeholders such as corporate partners, and with journalists to assist with securing coverage across national, regional and local media to reach new audiences and build cause awareness

· Horizon scan for media opportunities and develop innovative integrated communication plans, overseeing advice, statements, timelines, and key messaging to engage specific audience segments.

· Arrange spokespeople for interviews and support with organising and managing press visits to food banks, as well as photo calls, to support the organisation’s communications priorities and campaigns 

· Circulate regular coverage updates across the organisation and help maintain and develop media databases, key performance indicator reports and other admin systems and processes to ensure continuous improvement 

· Act as the media lead on proactive projects that help build understanding and awareness of both Trussell Trust and the food bank network’s strategic objectives.

· Participate in regular 1:1s and annual reviews, contributing to the identification of objectives and targets, and monitoring of progress towards them

Technical skills and minimum knowledge:
