As Ufton’s Fundraising Manager, you'll work with the SLT to identify and nurture funding opportunities across charitable trusts, philanthropy and companies to help raise £500,000 each year. 

You’ll use your creative and copywriting skills to produce engaging and impactful fundraising materials – whether proposals, reports for funders or campaign materials. You’ll also have an eye for detail, a passion for stats and facts to support your ideas, understand budgeting and love developing authentic, innovative relationships with supporters.

Key responsibilities 

1. Strategic planning and collaboration

· Work with the Head of Fundraising to enhance and adapt Ufton’s fundraising strategy.

· Collaborate with teams across Ufton to ensure you can identify opportunities, build proposals for funding, and deliver against Ufton’s and donor needs.

· Anticipate new business by staying on top of sector trends and conducting market research to identify new opportunities.

2. Grant writing and management

· Apply to a range of trusts/grant giving bodies ensuring that applications are closely aligned to the objectives of the funder and Ufton.

· Ensure the appropriate recognition of grants and gifts is made to ensure relationships are maintained through reporting and wider engagement. 

· Collaborate with others to produce compelling and compliant bids that align with our mission, priorities, and values.

3. Prospect research and pipeline development

· Use prospect research strategies to build a robust and actionable pipeline for Ufton.

4. Knowledge management and resource building

· Work collaboratively to build your toolbox to enable smart ways of working, including cases for support, project budgets, case studies and evidence of need/impact.

· Build and manage banks of knowledge and resources to scale your work more quickly, never compromising on quality and integrity.

· Use data (internal and external) to understand the needs of children and young people and build evidence-based bids for funding.

· Acquire an in-depth knowledge of what Ufton does and the impact on children and young people.

5. Relationship building and donor engagement

· Build and develop relationships with trusts and individuals with regular communication to deepen and nurture their support.

· Identify and coordinate donor meetings, site visits and other interactions to deepen relationships and showcase our impact.

· Plan and manage special events to engage donors and supporters, creating meaningful moments that highlight Ufton's impact on children and young people.

· Work collaboratively to build and manage rich engagement plans for our supporters.

6. Fundraising campaign management

· With the Head of Fundraising, develop and manage fundraising campaigns and initiatives, whether capital appeals or individual giving campaigns.

· Work collaboratively across all teams to identify needs and opportunities and transform those into compelling fundraising campaigns.

7. Data integrity

· Keep comprehensive records of all trust and grant fundraising activities and be able to report the impact to funders and stakeholders via various methods.

· Hold high levels of data integrity and be a keen supporter of using technology to support efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.

· Help to implement, develop, and then maintain the charity’s CRM system (Salesforce) ensuring all activity is inputted accurately and efficiently and that you contribute towards its continuous improvement.

· Analyse data to identify trends and opportunities.

 The post holder will also: 

· Contribute to achieving the objectives of Ufton and wider fundraising activities.

· Undertake any additional and ad hoc tasks as required. 

· Actively contribute to team meetings and other activities as required. 

· Monitor and evaluate activities and provide written reports. 

· Represent Ufton in a professional manner. 

· Work within an EDI framework, adhere to all the Charity’s policies, procedures and working. 

· Ensure all records are held in compliance with GDPR, The Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice and Ufton policies.

About the role

The Access Project is an evidence-based, data driven intervention. Central to our programme are the ways in which we use data to ensure each of our students receives the provision they need, to learn about how we can improve our delivery and to evaluate our impact on our students’ university prospects. We have developed sophisticated monitoring and evaluation systems bringing together data from a variety of sources to track students’ progress (impact management) as well as ascertain their outcomes (impact evaluation). We collect data on our students’ academic and socio-demographic background, their participation on our programme and progress on our bespoke university readiness scales, and their academic results and university destinations. We use this data to intervene in real time when delivery goes off-course but also to understand how The Access Project programmes affect student outcomes and publicize this impact externally.

As part of the Strategy and Impact Team, the Data & Insights Lead will be responsible for ensuring all teams have the right data and to deliver and monitor our programme in a timely and effective way. They will manage, analyse, interpret, and present data and information, most of it recorded on our Salesforce system, to enhance the quality of delivery, maximise the achievement of outcomes by participants and ensure that the project achieves the greatest possible social impact. They will also project manage distinct pieces of work ranging from system optimization to external reporting for impact-related projects and partnerships.

Duties and responsibilities

1) Ensure the efficacy of our monitoring & reporting systems

1. Identifies required changes related to how we collect and manage data in Salesforce so that programme delivery data is available in the right format and at the right frequency to support decision making across teams and allow for accurate reporting.
2. Make recommendations for changes to the Salesforce system in line with this and support the Operations Team with reviewing options.
3. Support other teams to have the confidence and skills to effectively use our monitoring & reporting tools and processes for their specific needs.
4. Identify required improvements to our data processes (e.g. processes for collecting/collating data, for automation, etc), and project manage their implementation.

2) Coordinate the use of data to guide tactical and strategic decision-making on programme delivery and design

1. Define the key questions for our termly performance management meetings and input into the design and content of the dashboards used in these fora.
2. Process and analyse data to derive useful insights about our programme delivery and present your findings effectively to various stakeholders to inform tactical conversations around programme design and delivery.
3. Ensure data is understood and used effectively in decision-making.‘delve deeper’ into programme data to understand trends highlighted by staff, students, and school leaders.schedule performance management meetings at the right time, ensure the right stakeholders are involved, and capture and follow up actions from these meetings as required.

3) Lead other evaluation, research and reporting activities

1. Ensure that student feedback is disseminated, analysed, shared, and used to inform ongoing performance management discussions
2. Lead the data contributions throughout our annual impact evaluation process which may include the preparation of large datasets, as well as analysis and interpretation of data.
3. Drive the monitoring and evaluation of pilot projects, e.g. development of monitoring tools and processes, data analysis, systems development, etc. prepare required datasets for external impact-related reporting. This includes tasks ranging from designing data collection processes, compiling the data, continuously adapting processes, and communicating effectively with all internal stakeholders.

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• Work effectively with others to develop funding proposals for CSE projects.

Support Worker - Transition Service for Separated Children
Reports To: Senior Practitioner

Role purpose and main responsibilities

To lead on candidate support and communication for the ‘Placement’ strand of our delivery, working closely with the Senior Talent Manager to manage all entry-level recruitment with our corporate partners. You will work with various stakeholders, from a mixture of governments, NGOs, corporate partners and employers to support them to deliver safe and impactful programmes to agreed targets. You will work with local partners on all aspects of programme delivery, from project implementation, review, monitoring and evaluation and budget management.

This will be coupled with significant experience of working in Sub-Saharan Africa. PERSON SPECIFICATION
