We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to develop and deliver income generation from charitable trusts, foundations, and corporate partners.

In this role, you’ll drive forward our trusts, foundations, and corporate partnerships work to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships to support our mission. You’ll identify and develop opportunities, create inspiring funding proposals, and provide excellent stewardship to ensure all funders and partners feel valued, engaged, and motivated to continue their support. You’ll also maintain a healthy and active pipeline of new prospects, supporting the long-term sustainability of our work.

About you

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

We are looking for a Trust Fundraising Officer to join our supportive Trusts and Grants fundraising team, playing a key role in helping raise vital funds for services that support people experiencing and recovering from homelessness to rebuild their lives.

In the role of Trust Fundraising Officer, you will work closely with a team of four other trust fundraisers, helping to meet our income target of circa £1.5m in 2025-26, and produce high quality written proposals and reports that reflect the impact of philanthropic support on the people we work with.

In this role, you will develop compelling fundraising proposals about our varied projects and will be supported to manage a portfolio of small to medium trusts and family foundations (giving up to £10,000). You will build strong relationships with trust funders, communicating the impact of their grants and helping them to feel connected to the work they are supporting.

In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for in person collaboration, team meetings and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations.

As Director of Fundraising, you’ll be part of the Strategic Leadership Team (SLT), leading fundraising development and investment. An experienced leader, you’ll manage diverse income streams and teams, excelling in high-value individual and corporate relationships. Strong communication, strategic thinking, and team development skills are essential - you’ll oversee a fundraising strategy, collaborate with other SLT members on grants and campaigns, and help shape the charity’s culture, ensuring all staff align with its values.

Harris Hill is thrilled to be partnering with a fantastic social welfare charity in their search for a Trusts and Foundations Officer to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in identifying, applying to, and stewarding trusts that provide budget-relieving funding. In this role, you’ll do more than raise funds, you will help drive change.

As Trusts and Foundations Officer, you will identify and research charitable trusts and foundations and write and submit high-quality funding applications. You will build and maintain strong relationships with funders through regular communication, updates and appropriate stewardship. You will also coordinate the preparation of timely, accurate and engaging grant reports, ensuring funder requirements are met and internal colleagues are supported in supplying relevant updates.

To be considered for this role you will need:

• Experience and successful track record of securing income from trusts and foundations
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Experience of building and maintaining relationships with funders
• Excellent writing skills with attention to detail and experience in preparing structured, engaging and successful grant applications.
