Role Overview
Glitch is looking for an Advocacy and Communications Manager to help support the charity's work — ensuring technology does not further or replicate discrimination towards Black women and gender-expansive people. This position offers the opportunity to lead on UK tech policy developing and promoting our Black feminist approach to key UK legislation through advocacy and communications to relevant audiences and stakeholders.
Specifically, you will lead on our tech-facilitated gender-based violence issue area, working on the Online Safety Act and engaging with relevant government ministers and parliamentarians, as well as our online violence against women coalition partners, and the Online Safety Act Network. Ideal Candidate

· Located at a 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham, we provide high quality self-contained accommodation for 15 women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage. The aim of the service is to provide a therapeutic environment in which women feel safe and can flourish, enabling them to move on into independent, permanent accommodation. The accommodation also includes overnight safe spaces.
· In this role, you will provide direct support to all the women, as well as holding a small case load of residents who you will keywork.
· You will work closely with support workers and the in-house psychologist. You will model person-led, psychological, gender, and culturally informed support, will be skilled at building trust and you will be a great team player.
· You will undertake 8-hour shifts, normally Monday to Friday but with flexibility for weekend working, covering the hours 8am to 8pm. Please be aware that the building has several floors and no lifts.

Through our Reset Outreach & Referral Service (RORS), we support people in Tower Hamlets affected by drugs and alcohol. Our team takes a harm reduction approach, meeting people where they are at, reducing stigma, and helping them access treatment, health services, and wider community support.

About the role
- Provide outreach and in reach support to people affected by substance use across Tower Hamlets, including those who may have a history of rough sleeping, be vulnerably housed, or otherwise disconnected from mainstream services.
- Carry out person-centred assessments and work collaboratively with service users to develop support and recovery plans.
- Make timely and appropriate referrals to specialist services (e.g. treatment, health, housing, and social care) to ensure holistic support.
- Develop strong working relationships with partner agencies to coordinate joint support and reduce barriers to engagement.
- Promote harm reduction, recovery-focused approaches, and ensure that people are empowered in their choices.
