This is an exciting training role in Army Cadet Headquarters responsible for assuring that First Responder training supported through ACCT UK for the Army Cadets is delivered in accordance with appropriate national governing bodies or appropriate awarding bodies, and that the appropriate qualifications are recorded on Westminster.

Essential Skill

The CCF is a national youth organisation operating in over 500 secondary schools across the UK, offering young people a broad range of challenging, exciting, adventurous and educational activities.
The aim of the CCF is to enable the development of personal responsibility, leadership and self-discipline. Each CCF is an educational partnership between the school and the Ministry of Defence, and a CCF may include Royal Navy/Royal Marines, Army or Royal Air Force sections.

We are looking for a marketing professional to:

· Actively maintain high levels of public awareness of the CCF, its aims and activities, in support of the attracting more cadets and suitable adult volunteers to the organisation.

Main duties

Solace provides safe refuge and move on accommodation to hundreds of women and children made homeless through domestic or sexual abuse. We run 19 refuges across London, including specialist refuge spaces for women with multiple needs. Of these, this role will involve working across three refuges in the borough of Haringey, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

The primary role of a Family Support Worker is to provide effective, efficient, and supportive service to children and their mothers residing in refuge with Solace Women’s Aid. The staff member will lead on the development of a child and family-centered approach to work in the refuge. In so doing, they will:

• Develop and deliver a range of trauma-informed services to children and young people (0-16 years) and their mothers within the refuge and when they are resettled into the community
• Ensure the completion of comprehensive assessments of family needs and risk of families, ensuring an integrated approach with children and adult services (internal and external)
• Ensure ongoing development of age-appropriate children activities
• Promote ‘Integrated Working’ through internal and external mechanisms in partnership with colleagues and community partnerships
• Coordinate the delivery of activities through session staff, volunteers, and student placements

About You

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable children, young people, and/or families, as well as knowledge of the effects that domestic abuse can have on young people.

About You

Essential experience and skills would include:

- Planning, delivering, and coordinating projects, activities, or events with multiple stakeholders

- Using Microsoft Office, with strong knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Forms in particular, and being comfortable learning new systems

- Supporting or coordinating volunteers and/or placement students

- Attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and administrative tasks

- Building relationships and engaging with community members, volunteers, or service users

- Working with people who may have varying support needs, including mental health challenges

- Responding thoughtfully to, or managing challenging situations and conflict while maintaining appropriate boundaries

- Building positive relationships with external partners, communicating with care while representing the needs and values of the organisation

It would also be great if you had...:

- Experience working in the charity, community, or health and social care sector

- Experience in supporting and implementing project reporting, monitoring, or evaluation tools

- Some familiarity with housing, social care, or welfare systems, or experience in supporting people to navigate these            

- Experience designing and distributing promotional materials, or using tools such as Canva, MailChimp, etc

- Familiarity or knowledge of adult safeguarding, duty of care, and GDPR principles                    

- Experience using project coordination tools, databases, and/or CRM systems

Citadel is a volunteer-powered homelessness prevention project that supports people experiencing, or at risk of homelessness, to find a place to live, settle into a home, and feel part of a welcoming and supportive community. Coordinators recruit and train volunteers before matching them with a person referred for support. Coordinators and volunteers work closely with people who have been referred, to establish what matters to them and how best they can support them.

About you

We are seeking to hire an outgoing, confident leader who is skilled and comfortable in building relationships and influencing people. You will be a dedicated, diligent person with experience of leading teams in the homelessness, housing or voluntary and community sectors and passionate about the role of the community in ending homelessness.

About the role

The successful candidate will provide supportive line management to six Coordinators working in North-East and South-East London. They will be responsible for overseeing and developing our London projects: building our partnerships, supporting the teams to grow the support we offer and supporting the projects’ continuous improvement and sustainability.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced events professional to join the Living Wage Foundation team as an Events Manager. You will be responsible for developing, delivering, and supporting the team with innovative events to promote the Living Wage movement, support the existing employer network, increase public support for fair pay and encourage Living Wage accreditation.

You will be responsible for our annual Champion Awards ceremony and organising parliamentary events, roundtables and webinars for our network of employers and beyond, as well as providing strategic oversight of events at our annual Living Wage Week in November where we celebrate Living Wage Employers nationwide with multiple events.

The ideal candidate would be an energetic and organised events manager, with strong project management skills, the ability to communicate with senior stakeholders internally and externally and the skills to establish strong relationships. What the job involves

Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a wide range of activities, events and challenge events. As Community Fundraising Executive, you’ll be a key member of our sector-leading team, raising over £5 million each year from individuals organising their own fundraising events and local-level corporate partnerships.

You’ll build strong, meaningful relationships with mid and high-value supporters, providing tailored stewardship that motivates, inspires and maximises their long-term fundraising impact. Working closely with the Community Fundraising Manager and wider team, you’ll identify emerging opportunities, spot potential high-value fundraisers and help shape the growth of our community fundraising programme. Job Description

Reports to: In2STEM Programme Manager

£28,000 per annum FTE

9 Month Fixed-Term Contract, Potential Extension to 12 Months

We’re looking for an experienced Programme Officer to join our team on a maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in the delivery of our In2STEM Programme during a busy and high impact period. You’ll benefit from a comprehensive handover, a supportive team environment, and the chance to make a real contribution from day one.

The Programme Officer will support the delivery of the In2STEM Programme including recruitment, planning, delivery, participant and volunteer management, and evaluation.

You will be responsible for recruitment, managing a caseload of students and volunteers (work experience hosts), and managing relationships with supporters and funders. You will also support the planning, delivery and evaluation of programme activities including training and inductions, placements, online workshops, competitions and celebration events.

In2scienceUK is a remote based organisation, that requires occasional travel across the UK for recruitment, events, internal & external meetings and staff co-working days.

Duties and responsibilities:

Programme Delivery

• Managing a caseload of students and volunteers (work experience hosts) from application stage to successful completion of the programme, including recruitment, matching, onboarding, troubleshooting throughout the programme and evaluation.

• Creating and developing engaging communication materials about the programme including video presentations, posters/flyers, case studies and website text, newsletters and images. 

• Monitoring student and volunteer (work experience host) applications to ensure targets and milestones are met. 

• Maintaining up to date records via the programme database and ensuring data protection. 

• Managing relationships with existing donors and supporters and networking to develop new relationships with prospective donors and supporters.

• Organising online skills workshops and careers panels, recruiting and coordinating volunteer speakers and panellists. 

• Planning and delivering in-person student inductions and celebration events.

Evaluation 

• Evaluating programme activities, using student and volunteer evaluation data and staff insights. 

• Supporting the creation and dissemination of case studies, working closely with the fundraising team to ensure funder requirements are met. 

• Supporting team members to create evaluation and student data reports.

About the role:

This role supports the delivery of stories and campaigns that achieve media coverage nationally and in regional media that fall outside of our hospice catchment areas.

You will lead on PR support for some key areas of the charity, including retail and volunteering.
You’ll also gain exposure to all the teams that the press office supports, which includes writing press assets for fundraising, healthcare, bereavement and influencing/campaigning stories.
You will ensure enquiries from the media are actioned efficiently (including when on-call) and be skilled at spotting media opportunities based on the news agenda, as well as pitching Sue Ryder stories to the media and liaising with journalists.
In this role you will be required to lead on some PR activities/projects with minimal supervision and support the PR officer with their projects, as required
