The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that provides a welcoming ‘Home from Home’ where families with a sick child in hospital can stay. But we’re more than bricks and mortar, our friendly, caring staff are there to support families when they really need it.
Hospital can be a lonely and scary place for anyone, but especially a child. Providing around 3,500 families a year with somewhere to stay together just minutes from the hospital means that they can be by their sick child’s side and have one less thing to worry about.
The Role
This is a key administrative role within the fundraising team, supporting Community Individual Giving and Events fundraising activity.
You will help ensure our supporters receive a high-quality experience, from their first enquiry through to thanking them for their fundraising efforts.
You’ll manage and respond to fundraising enquiries, coordinate the distribution of fundraising materials, and support the smooth running of fundraising operations behind the scenes.
The role also includes maintaining accurate records on our database, processing financial information, and supporting key recognition programmes that celebrate our supporters.
Working closely with colleagues across the team, you’ll play an essential part in helping us deliver excellent supporter care and maximise income generation opportunities.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys supporting a busy team.
You will have strong attention to detail and be confident managing multiple administrative tasks at once. You’ll be comfortable communicating with supporters by email, phone and in writing, and motivated to provide excellent customer service.

We're looking for two Events & Marketing Assistants to join our small, busy team at Portsmouth Cathedral. Acting as a first point of contact, you’ll engage with customers across our facilities, responding to enquiries, encouraging repeat bookings, and escalating complaints when needed, while consistently delivering a high standard of customer service.
You’ll also help maintain safe, well-managed venues by promoting positive customer behaviour, managing expectations around court usage, and supporting the procedures that keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
Additionally, you will:
· Provide information about the surrounding park environment
· Process bookings for all visitors
· Handle tenders in line with financial policies
· Support the preparation of areas for activities and events
· Attend team briefings
· Follow safeguarding guidelines for children and adults at risk
About You
To be considered as an Operations Assistant, you will need:
· Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage customers and resources to achieve smooth operations and a great customer experience
· Computer literacy, with the ability to use a variety of systems and MS Outlook, Word and basic Excel
· Excellent communication skills, along with the ability to effectively communicate with a range of audiences
· Organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks simultaneously and perform effectively under pressure

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and creative person to take on the role of Editorial Assistant within the Publishing team at the Royal College of Psychiatrists. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a busy team to maintain the highest standards of quality, integrity, service and relevance across our journal and book publishing programmes.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They will have a strong drive to deliver a high-quality service to all our customers and contributors and an enthusiasm for developing process improvements, embracing opportunities that arise from new technologies and building links across and beyond the organisation.
With strong organisational skills and an eye for detail, they will support colleagues across all our publishing activities, including board and committee management, content commissioning, the development and curation of digital content, the administration of our social media channels and App, archiving and rights management, and contributing to our presence at conferences and events. The successful candidate will also provide support with all aspects of general team administration, including travel bookings, meeting organisation and minute-taking, and financial administration.
