Working within a passionate team of fundraisers, the Senior Individual Giving Executive will be vital to retaining, converting and upgrading regular givers, as well as generating income through vital cash appeals.
About you
We are looking for a passionate fundraiser with keen interest in the charity sector, particularly in humanitarian work. The ideal candidate will have a range of cross-channel experience, ideally in the charity sector and in an Individual Giving team, with a particular focus on retention and engagement activity. We are looking for someone with the passion to drive and improve our retention and engagement campaigns, to critically review campaigns and implement improvements, and to put their own stamp on the role.
About the role
The Senior Individual Giving Executive will play a key part in the delivery of the Individual Giving programme, producing sector-leading comms and campaigns to recruit and retain supporters. You will work closely with the rest of the IG team and the Fundraising and Communications Department to deliver high-quality, data-led campaigns across a range of marketing channels. The role will include campaign delivery, budgeting, strategy and planning, managing relationships with key suppliers and driving continuous campaign improvement.
This role will focus predominantly on retention and engagement activity, with a particular focus on mailings, emails and telemarketing, amongst other channels, though there is flexibility for this to change in the future.

Purpose of the role
We are looking for a passionate and strategic Philanthropy Manager to help drive our mission to restore wildlife and create a world where wildlife thrives. This role is focused on raising vital funds from individuals to support ZSL’s global ambition. You will lead on engaging new and cultivating existing supporters, securing high-value and major gifts. As part of your stewardship and cultivation work, you will build deep, lasting relationships and grow a sustainable income stream that powers our global impact.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation of spending two days a week in the office at a minimum, alongside attending occasional off-site meetings with donors and stakeholders. As with many major gift roles, there may be some evening or weekend work to support events, donor visits, or special experiences.
Key responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy: Contribute to strategic planning to ensure a coordinated and donor-centric approach that maximises philanthropic support, in collaboration with the Head of Philanthropy.
Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: To manage and grow a personal portfolio of high-value and major donors, securing income from high-value and major gifts.
Prospect Research: Identifying and researching potential donors who align with the organisation's mission and goals, with support from the Prospect Researcher.
Proposal Writing and Donor Reporting: Craft compelling and personalised proposals and presentations to secure funding, and work closely with the wider fundraising and project delivery teams to produce high quality reports.
Event Management: Support the organisation and delivery of events to cultivate relationships with donors and prospects.
Financial accountability: Keep accurate records and handle accompanying gift administration and recognition.

About the role
Shelter is seeking a proactive and organised Legacy and In-Memory Manager to work with delivering agreed income and engagement targets. This will involve recruiting, retaining and developing individual donors whilst maximising legacy and in-memory giving opportunities. You will support and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns including acquisition and stewardship communications, digital campaigns, telemarketing, events and professional press advertising. Furthermore, you will manage web content and partnerships with free will providers.
The role will involve leading the in-memory marketing programme, stewarding supporters and prospects through custom communications and acting as a first point of contact for enquiries. You will work collaboratively across Income Generation, internal comms and the brand teams, working to embed legacy messaging across the organisation and support with initiatives such as Shelter Will Week and build strong cross-team relationships. You will also provide essential administrative support managing budgets and invoices and you will have line manager responsibilities whilst ensuring all activity complies with relevant legislation and meets sector best practice.
About you
We are looking for someone with experience in legacy and/or in-memory fundraising, or transferrable skills within the charity or commercial sector.
You will bring excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally. You will be highly organised and detail oriented and be able to manage a varied workload, balancing multiple deadlines and competing demands with a flexible and proactive approach.
Strong IT skills are essential for the role including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365, FirstClass or similar CRM and email systems.
