The Alliance for Youth Justice is an alliance of more than 70 non-profit organisations advocating with and for children to drive positive change in youth justice across England and Wales. We mobilise our members’ frontline expertise, children’s lived experience, and evidence from research to champion a child-centred, rights-based and trauma-informed system that treats contact with the justice system as a sign of unmet need and systemic failure, prioritises support over criminalisation and gives every child the opportunity to thrive.

About the role

Following the launch of our new strategic approach, our Influencing Manager will lead the development and delivery of AYJ's influencing, policy, public affairs and campaigning work to shift policy, legislation, practice and public narratives.

Campaigning, policy and public affairs (70%) — lead our influencing strategy alongside the CEO, spot opportunities for systemic change, develop evidence-driven policy positions and briefings, and build relationships with members, politicians, civil servants and stakeholders.

Strategic communications (30%) — ensure the reach of our influencing, write high-impact influencing content for our digital channels, and act as first point of contact for media enquiries.

Anti-opressive, anti-racist practice and youth voice run through everything, including involving children and young people with lived experience safely and meaningfully in our work.

About you

You have a proven track record of influencing for systemic change through policy, public affairs, communications or campaigning within a voluntary sector organisation or coalition, and know how to turn complex policy and research into compelling written communications for varied audiences. You have a thorough understanding of the political environment and Parliament, strong relationship-building skills, and excellent project management. You bring a genuine interest in youth justice and the issues facing children in England and Wales, alongside a personal commitment to anti-racism, social justice and child rights.

This is a new role at ECU, being recruited as part of a wider programme of work to deepen the relationships between national organisations working on economic systems change and grassroots campaigners. The Campaigns Lead will work closely with the Head of Campaigns on driving forward our high-impact campaigns for economic systems change.

For at least the first year, the Campaigns Lead will be working primarily on our coalition campaign on the cost of living crisis, Cost of Living Action. The campaign, which is currently made up of over 40 organisations from across civil society, unions and grassroots groups, aims to end the cost of living crisis and put in place solutions to prevent it from ever happening again. It focuses on our policy demands in five areas that drive the cost of living crisis: wages, social security, energy, housing and taxation. The campaign positions itself as the civil society coalition focused on the cost of living as a whole, and that solutions to it must be addressed that way. The campaign relaunched in early 2026 and has a vital role to play in putting media and political pressure on the government to take action. 

We also work closely with those most impacted by the crisis and aim to centre the voices of those with lived experience of economic hardship in all that we do. This role will shape and drive forward a programme of impactful communications, advocacy and other campaigning activities under the rebooted campaign to secure transformative changes that bring real improvement to people’s lives. There is ample opportunity to engage politically in this role, increasing as you develop in the position.

Suicide can be prevented but urgent action is needed. We are looking for an experienced Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager to lead our work to mobilise our campaigners and maximise our political relationships to push for action to prevent suicide.

Samaritans is the UK and Ireland’s leading suicide prevention charity. While we are best known for listening to those who need us, we also work to influence change through our policy, advocacy campaigning and relationships with political stakeholders.

The Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns team of five works alongside people with lived experience, our campaigners, supporters and volunteers to push for the public policy and legal changes that will help us achieve our vision. We work to achieve system change through our work with the Westminster parliament, UK Government departments, policy makers and service leads, alongside our offices in the nations. We're looking for a Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager to lead this area of work.

We know that to make a real difference to those who are affected by suicide, we need to drive meaningful change in UK legislation and policy, funding and research.

What you'll be doing:

You'll lead our public affairs and advocacy campaigns work focused on influencing decision-makers and driving advocacy campaigns.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing our advocacy campaigning activity across England and line managing the Public Affairs and Campaigns Officer, ensuring that our advocacy campaigns are rooted in lived experience, and that our supporters have a positive ongoing experience. 
• Leading the implementation of our public affairs and campaign strategies to achieve change on Samaritan’s key influencing priorities
• Identifying, creating, and evaluating opportunities and mechanisms to increase political engagement and persuade decision makers to take positive action on suicide prevention 
• Identifying, cultivating and maintaining excellent relationships across the UK parliament and key political decision makers. 
• Working across the charity to connect all of our relevant work to Parliamentary audiences, including support for Samaritans branches and volunteers on public affairs activities
• You’ll play a pivotal role in leading our efforts to drive meaningful change to help prevent suicide.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This is an exciting new role that will see the postholder leading EVAW’s strategic, influential campaigns work. The postholder will drive EVAW’s planned and reactive campaigning, advising the Director(s) and working closely with Heads of Communications, Policy and Research, Public Affairs and Membership functions within the organisation.  The role is front-facing, requiring the postholder to confidently represent the organisation in high-level stakeholder spaces, as well as in the media. The postholder will lead on monitoring, evaluation and learning, ensuring the efficacy of our campaigns and interventions, as well as promoting internal learning and reflection. Using their strong campaigning nous/instinct the postholder will also be effective at adapting or amending campaigns and interventions when the external landscape shifts.

The postholder will have a finger on the pulse of current affairs and trends and be willing and able balance reactive and responsive work with delivering planned outputs and activities. You should be comfortable both working at pace, and with taking time to reflect and re-strategise.

You are likely to have experience in campaigns, working on VAWG or another human rights/equalities issue, and will be seeking an opportunity to work in a highly impactful, agile and dynamic feminist organisation.

Whether practical or academic, paid or voluntary, a background in VAWG will of course be an asset. You’ll need to show you have a good understanding of VAWG, can communicate complex issues with clarity and impact, and are committed to intersectional feminism. As they enter an exciting new chapter, this newly created role will play a pivotal role in strengthening their campaigning capability and shaping some of the most important national debates about how we use our finite supply of land in joined up, sustainable ways.

Working closely with colleagues across the charity, the charity's England wide network, and external partners and allies, you'll help to drive the charity's ambitious campaigning agenda. This role will collaborate with the also newly created Head of Campaigns – Landscapes and Land Use. While each role leads a distinct portfolio, together they will deliver the charity's strategic goals for a more joined-up approach to land, ensuring decisions about housing, infrastructure, food production, nature, climate and landscapes are no longer made in isolation, through campaigns that connect people, influence policy and create lasting change.

This is not a traditional policy role. We're looking for a strategic campaigner who understands how to combine policy insight, public engagement and influential relationships to drive change. And for someone’s who’s interested in the bigger picture of how planning and infrastructure fit into wider land use debates.

Leading the charity's work on planning, infrastructure and development, you'll translate complex issues into compelling campaigns and policy stories that influence decision-makers and mobilise and grow the charity's supporter base, building momentum for change. You'll ensure the charity remains at the forefront of shaping conversations around the future and purpose of strategic and joined up planning and the opportunities it offers for people, nature restoration and adaptation to climate change.  

You will bring significant experience of leading campaigns, policy communications, external affairs or influencing work, alongside a strong understanding of the planning and infrastructure landscape. You do not need to be a qualified planner, but you will have the credibility to engage confidently with policymakers, sector experts, partners and MPs, and the ability to turn that understanding into effective campaign strategies. You'll be an exceptional relationship builder, with experience bringing together coalitions, networks and stakeholders around shared goals. Most importantly, you'll understand how to connect policy issues to public concerns, creating campaigns that inspire people to get involved while delivering tangible policy impact.

Animal Equality is an international animal protection organisation working with society, governments and companies to end cruelty to farmed animals. Animal Equality has offices in the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and India.

Animal Equality releases investigative materials from inside factory farms and slaughterhouses, exposing the conditions that farmed animals face around the world. We publish our findings on television, in newspapers and online. We focus on farmed animals because of the scale and severity of the issue. More than a billion animals are confined and killed for human consumption every year in the UK. Farmed animals also often suffer in some of the worst ways: pigs typically endure painful mutilations; many chickens die of heart attacks; fish are confined in underwater cages, and some farmed animals are victims of deliberate abuse and neglect. But the problem is solvable! About the Role

Animal Equality’s campaigns have driven Parliamentary debates, legal victories, corporate commitments, and major media coverage and inspired thousands of people to change their diets and take action for farmed animals.

We are seeking a dynamic, disciplined, and highly motivated Campaigns Officer to play a central role in growing our activist movement and delivering bold, high-impact campaigns across the UK and internationally.

This role is fundamentally about building people power. You will be responsible for significantly expanding our activist base – both online and in person – mobilising supporters into sustained action and organising impactful demonstrations that influence companies, governments, and public opinion.

The Campaigns Officer will regularly travel across the UK and internationally to organise and lead peaceful demonstrations, ensuring Animal Equality remains a visible, strategic, and compelling presence at key decision-making moments. You will be expected to travel frequently across Europe, sometimes at short notice; reasonable travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the organisation, as well as a daily stipend for plant-based subsistence. While not common, occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to support campaigning activities. Any additional hours worked and agreed with your Manager can be reclaimed as TOIL.

Around three days per week will support Embrace advocacy and church engagement, with two days coordinating the Just Peace Coalition and it’s Time to Act campaign. 🎯 The role

Our clients split into two worlds. Trade unions run ballots, organise workplaces, and mobilise reps. NGOs and political parties run campaigns, fundraise, and fight elections. Each world deserves a dedicated lead who knows it inside out.

You'll be that lead for NGOs and political parties, working alongside our Head of Campaign Success for Trade Unions. You'll take on our priority NGO and political party accounts.

The shape of the role will shift as the segment grows. Our trade union book is deep. Our NGO book has flagship names but fewer of them, so at the start you'll spend a lot of time helping us win new NGO and political party clients. Sales for this segment is founder-led, and you'll be the founder's right hand: running demos, working events, building relationships across the sector, and onboarding what we win together. As the book fills out, the role tilts towards account management and campaign success. You'll be growing your own future job.

This is a hands-on role. You'll set up accounts from scratch, work out how a client's structure maps onto the platform, and troubleshoot technical issues as readily as you'll run a demo or a renewal conversation. You'll also take your turn on the support rota alongside other campaign success team members.

You'll manage one direct report. Their role covers our client community, training, webinars, case studies, frontline support, and some of our smaller NGO accounts.

🛠️ What you'll do

🚀 Help grow the NGO and political party segment (the biggest part at first)

• Work alongside the founder leading sales for this segment as their right hand on every deal
• Run product demos, solo or as part of a founder-led pitch
• Represent Movement at sector events, conferences, and meet-ups. Build the network that brings deals in
• Follow up inbound leads and keep longer conversations warm
• Help build proposals and contribute to RFP responses

🤝 Own our priority NGO and political party accounts (growing as we win)

• Build strong relationships with campaigners, digital leads, and data teams at our NGO and party clients
• Run onboarding for the accounts we land: kick-off, training, launch planning, and the first 90 days
• Drive adoption of the features that move the needle for each client, from branded RCS to share testing to organiser dashboards
• Lead renewal conversations. Spot churn risk early and act on it
• Find expansion opportunities and turn them into proposals
• Run quarterly reviews that clients actually find useful

🔧 Be the technical lead for your accounts

• Set up new accounts: provisioning, custom fields, tags, segments, and templates
• Configure integrations, single sign-on, and sender domains
• Triage and resolve technical issues for your accounts, escalating to engineering when needed
• Take your share of support days on the rota, covering the inbox for the whole client base alongside the rest of the team
• Translate between campaigners and engineers. You'll be fluent in both languages

🌱 Manage and develop your direct report

• Set priorities for our client community, training, webinar, and case study work
• Oversee our smaller NGO & WhatsApp only account book, which your report manages day to day
• Support their development as their role grows
• Build support workflows that scale as the client base does

🔍 Who we're looking for

You've probably done one of these:

• Worked in sales, account management, or implementation at a campaigning platform or similar such as Action Network, Engaging Networks, or NationBuilder, and know how NGOs buy
• Run digital, data, or a CRM at an NGO, charity, or political party, and been the person who actually built the segments and fixed the emails
• Led campaigns with serious digital infrastructure behind them and managed the platform relationship from the client side

Experience inside the NGO, charity, or party world counts for a lot here, especially alongside commercial experience. We're not ruling out people from outside the sector.

✅ You'll need

• Confidence running demos and holding your own in commercial conversations, plus a genuine appetite for events and networking
• Real experience with campaigning or CRM platforms as a power user or administrator
• The technical depth to build an organisation from scratch. Give you a client's structure, branches, regions, teams, campaigns, and you can work out how it maps onto fields, tags, lists, audiences, and permissions
• The ability to read HTML or SQL and follow a technical conversation. You don't need to be an engineer, but you can't be scared of the tools
• Strong relationship skills. Clients should feel you're on their team
• A track record on retention. Renewals landed, churn spotted early, accounts kept and grown
• Experience managing someone, and the appetite to develop a report whose role is growing
• Willingness to take your share of support days. Everyone here covers the inbox, us included
• Genuine commitment to progressive causes. Our clients will feel if you don't mean it

Head of Campaigns - Landscapes and Land Use
Salary: £61,000

Prospectus are excited to partner with our client in their search for a Head of Campaigns – Landscapes and Land Use. As they enter an exciting new chapter, this newly created role will play a pivotal role in strengthening their campaigning capability and shaping some of the most important national and regional debates about how we use our finite supply of land in joined up, sustainable ways.

Working closely with colleagues across the charity, the charity's England wide network and external partners and allies, you'll help to drive the charity's ambitious campaigning agenda. This role will collaborate with the also newly created Head of Campaigns – Planning and Infrastructure. While each role leads a distinct portfolio, together they will deliver the charity's strategic goals for a more joined-up approach to land, ensuring decisions about housing, infrastructure, food production, nature, climate and landscapes are no longer made in isolation, through campaigns that connect people, influence policy and create lasting change.

This is not a traditional policy role. We're looking for someone who understands that meaningful change happens when strong evidence is combined with compelling public engagement, powerful partnerships and effective influencing. Someone who can connect people, ideas and organisations around a shared vision for the future of our landscapes, building the charity's movement and creating pressure for change.

As Head of Campaigns, Landscapes and Land Use, you will lead ambitious national campaigns and policy communications that influence change and help people understand why decisions about all kinds of land use should be better connected and matter, and how they shape the future of the countryside we all depend on.

You will be able to demonstrate significant experience leading public campaigns, advocacy programmes, external affairs or influencing work, with a solid understanding of the political environment surrounding land use. You’ll have experience working with stakeholders, decision-makers and influencers at senior levels, developing strong relationships, with a track record of building partnerships and coalitions that achieve meaningful outcomes. You’ll have excellent strategic thinking and be able to evidence the ability to translate complex issues into compelling public campaigns.

A strong understanding of the policy context within the areas of landscapes, land use, climate, nature, agriculture, or environment is crucial for this role, and we are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with backgrounds in environmental campaigning, climate action, nature recovery, land management, agriculture, or countryside policy.

• Leading the charity's landscapes and land use campaigning strategy and delivery at a national level.
• Working across the charity's network to develop impactful campaigns and projects that influence policy, public debate and grow supporter engagement.
