Main purposes of the post
To deliver Salford CVS’s research and insight work, which includes the collection and analysis of data and producing timely written reports of the findings. As Data Operations Executive you will play a crucial role in helping us reach our fundraising targets and delivered excellent supporter experience through your support of the charity’s CRM system, Salesforce. You will have experience or a theoretical understanding of working with data and a CRM system. · Provide 1st Line support for requests received into the team’s ticketing system, triaging all incoming tickets and either resolving, providing self-help guides, or escalating as appropriate.

The Winchester Beacon has been supporting individuals experiencing homelessness for almost forty years. As the Data Operations Officer, your key purpose in post is to ensure efficient, compliant data management, and effective data processes. You will proactively support teams, find improvements, and push for efficiencies to allow Salesforce CRM system users to engage with and effectively manage our supporters. This must be completed with reference to relevant data protection/GDPR laws and within a framework of the most effective data management techniques.
You will play a key role in providing process improvements across teams to enable the further development of an automation programme that speeds up and improves accuracy across imports and exports. You will also be responsible for scoping, defining, and implementing data quality improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work with our Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tool (Clarity Data Transform [CDT]) to bring data into our Salesforce ecosystem. This will include extensive documentation writeup, testing requirements for updates and patches, and a restrained & disciplined approach where quality is more important than speed.
· Ensure that any exception files from the CDT automations are triaged and the issues rectified, including escalating issues to the relevant agency, or logging a defect in Jira Software.
· Play a supportive role with the development team, completing development work in Salesforce as directed.
· Work with the Data Operations Manager to ensure Direct Debit claims and Gift Aid claims are processed accurately and on the agreed schedule.
· Carry out more complex data loading processes and act as a point of escalation for issues when raised by the Data Operations Executives.
· Critically examine existing processes and drive process improvement across database stakeholders and users.
· Support the Data Operations Manager on improvement projects, aimed at both improving the quality of data, and teams’ processes surrounding their use of Salesforce.
· Provide second line support for the Data Team ticketing system, ensuring tickets are resolved in a timely manner.
· Maintain, enhance, and develop data quality checks and associated processes to improve the integrity and usefulness of our data.
· Support the Data Operations Manager in ensuring data management best practice is incorporated into each teams’ processes.
· Undertake any other relevant duties and projects in line with the responsibilities of the post.

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Knowledge of relational databases, CRM systems and/or large datasets.
· Knowledge and understanding of ETL tools and practices.
· Understanding of data protection/GDPR legislation and its implementation.

· Experience of working in the charity sector with charity data.
· Experience of using Salesforce or similar CRM systems.

Ways of working:
As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals. This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

PURPOSE OF ROLE
Major donors and philanthropists are currently responsible for over a quarter of Caudwell Youth’s annual income – due in part to the generosity of the networks of our founder, John Caudwell.
As Caudwell Youth enters its fourth year, we are seeking a Senior Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships manager to help us expand beyond our strong founder-led base into a sustainable major donor and corporate supporter portfolio.
Proactive and commercially-minded, you will be confident driving and developing all stages of the major donor and corporate supporter stewardship process. Confidence in engaging in new business research, prospecting, initial meetings and pitches is a must, as you will be responsible for growing our small pipeline of supporters and warm prospects into a long-term income stream.
This is essential to Caudwell Youth’s future sustainability, with corporate partnerships and major donor income currently making up 30% of Caudwell Youth’s annual fundraising income (forecast to be around £450,000 this year).
Our ambition is to increase this revenue stream by around 50% to over £800,000 by 2030, in order to support more at-risk young people from across the UK, as set out in our recently launched strategy, Going National.
This is a role for a self-starter who is excited to drive high value growth and be a key part of Caudwell Youth’s upward trajectory, working within a small but dynamic fundraising team. It offers significant opportunity to shape and lead this area of fundraising as it grows.
You will be an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of securing major gifts of four, five and six figure gifts, familiarity with managing corporate partnerships and evidence of growing and developing new pipelines and revenue streams.
You will own a significant portion of this income stream, with responsibility for securing new high-value relationships and growing existing supporters.
