Responsibilities of our Stewardship & Communications Manager: 

• The Philanthropy & Partnerships Communications and Stewardship Manager plays a key role in building strong, lasting relationships between Cats Protection and its most valued supporters.

• Sitting within the Philanthropy and Partnership’s Research and Engagement team, you will lead a small team of specialist roles and shape how we communicate, steward and inspire corporate partners, major donors, and trusts and foundations, helping them feel genuinely connected to the difference their support makes for cats.

What we are looking for in our Stewardship & Communications Manager: 

• Significant experience in high-value fundraising communications and/or stewardship, including working with corporate partners, major donors, trusts and foundations.

• Experience of leading or managing specialist communications or stewardship activity, with direct line-management responsibility and/or clear functional leadership.

• Proven experience of overseeing the development of high-quality donor communications, propositions or cases for support.

• Experience of working collaboratively with fundraisers and senior stakeholders in a complex, multi-disciplinary organisation.

• Experience of balancing strategic oversight with hands-on support, quality assurance and delivery under pressure.

The marketing and communications team is small but mighty. We help people find the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE), understand what we do and take the next step, whether that is applying for a programme, booking a workshop, coming to an event, becoming a partner or engaging with our work.

We are looking for an Interim Head of Marketing and Communications to lead this function during an exciting period of transition and growth. This role will play a pivotal part in delivering our communications and brand strategy, supporting the rollout of our new organisational strategy, and maintaining momentum across high‑profile campaigns and projects.  

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Engagement, you’ll oversee marketing and communications across the organisation, line managing a team of specialists and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team. You’ll provide strategic leadership, clear direction and hands‑on support, ensuring activity is well planned, insight‑driven and aligned to our wider organisational objectives.

About the Role

With 19 Open Youth Zones, supporting 60,000 young people, the organisation is moving into a period of steady growth towards their long-term goal of 35 Youth Zones by 2035. This role will take sole responsibility for communications activity across live and established projects including those currently in development.

This is a key role within the communications team that will see you create understanding and awareness between the charity and the key local and regional audiences that matter to us as. 

This role will involve managing a portfolio of end-to-end integrated communications and PR programmes across multiple Youth Zones at various stages of development. You will work closely with the teams, each Youth Zone’s relationship managers and fundraisers, as well as its CEO, and Trustee Board, and Young People's Development Group, acting as their trusted communications advisor. You will also collaborate with local stakeholders including Local Authority communications leads and supporters, to help establish the new Youth Zones as independent charities.

It is important to note that this role lays the foundations for each new Youth Zones’ ongoing communications approach. For each project you will be required to effectively and smoothly handover to the Youth Zones full time communication resource once in place while continuing to provide light touch ongoing support - so some experience mentoring or coaching and supporting others is beneficial.

About You

We will be looking for someone that can demonstrate a broad range of communications skills from brand development to working with local media to place newsworthy, positive stories around the Youth Zone development, to supporting the development of new Youth Zone websites and the launch of social media channels.

You will have experience of:

· Communications, either in agency or in house 

· All-round integrated communications experience, including PR, copywriting and digital

This role serves as the strategic lead on media, and external communication matters for the Pensions Board, advising and working with senior leaders to propose, develop and execute well thought through proactive and reactive communication strategies to realise delivery of our biggest priorities

It is a hybrid and matrix role. The role holder will work within the NCIs' multi-disciplinary national Communications team ensuring the Board's external communications response is resilient, best practice and well-planned while also taking a steer on initiatives and the handling of key topics from leaders within the Pensions Board. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaboration
* Be the primary 'lead' press contact for key stakeholders at the Pensions Board, with a particular focus on ethical and Responsible Investment.
* Lead the development of external media plans to support delivery of the Board's objectives, aligning these with customer communications and stakeholder plans being formed within the Board, working closely with the Customer Communications Manager and Engagement colleagues in Housing and Pensions
* Work as part of the Financial Communications team to manage the relationship with the Ethical Investment Advisory Group,
* Proactively initiate, build and manage complex relationships with key financial and specialist journalists who cover the work of the Pensions Board, strengthening the Board's media presence.
* Work with the digital communications team to initiate social media content for the Pensions Board, including establishing and managing the Board's LinkedIn presence.

Communications planning/proactive comms
* Initiate and sustain effective external communications planning on a monthly and annual basis. This includes setting clear objectives to enhance effectiveness, close gaps and prioritising 'media' requests across Pensions Board teams.
* Be responsible for the development and delivery of key KPIs assessing media performance, and external reach, reporting to the Pensions Board's Director of Strategy & Engagement.
* Put in place a robust comms calendar
* Shape and author messaging ahead of anticipated media interest with an aim to grow the influence of the Pensions Board.
* As a trusted and savvy communications expert, advise internal stakeholders in the development and communication of their core messaging, especially on key projects and initiatives.
* Proactively identify and realise PR opportunities for the Pensions Board aligned to the Board's delivery plan, key strategic projects and making the most of opportunities with wider Church networks.

Reactive comms
* Monitor press coverage and distribute to internal contacts
* Respond professionally to media enquiries from news organisations, including the rapid development of agreed responses to media enquiries, seeking counsel from the Head of Financial Communications to enhance the response. Staying calm under pressure will be essential.
* Field media requests for interviews, photo calls, events, and similar.
* Support with media training and photo shoots for internal stakeholders, including working with and coaching colleagues (at all levels) to enhance their confidence with media exposure.

Content and events
* Identify and organise relevant speaking, conference and award opportunities, including speech writing where needed.
* Collaborate on the production of the PB's annual review, Stewardship Report and other reports - liaising with internal stakeholders, collating and editing content, working with the design agency, and managing budget

The Policy and Communications Manager will act as a driving force behind our visibility and impact across key policy areas, bringing lived and learned experiences to the heart of our influencing. We are hiring a Communications and Content Manager, Challenge Works

Summary
Challenge Works is a global leader in designing and delivering prizes that incentivise innovative solutions to the world’s biggest challenges in health, climate, cities, and frontier technology. We are looking for a Communications and Marketing Manager to join the communications team, to take the lead on designing and delivering high-impact prize communications strategies, while working in close partnership with the Senior Communications and Marketing Manager to identify opportunities to build, strengthen, and elevate the Challenge Works brand.

A core priority for this role will be building out our creative content capabilities. They will bring proven experience in using video, multimedia, and compelling storytelling to drive deep audience engagement and bring the human impact of our prizes to life.

Working collaboratively with project teams, they will apply their marketing and communications expertise to identify the best tactics to increase profile and brand recognition among target audiences. They will own the delivery of these communication and content projects, while working closely with the wider communications team to provide specialist expertise in areas such as media, events, and digital.

The ideal candidate will be an effective project manager, able to deliver across multiple projects simultaneously, and a collaborative communicator, capable of translating complex messages into clear, compelling narratives. The role

• Independently design, project manage and execute comprehensive end-to-end communications and marketing strategies for our portfolio of challenge prizes, working with the programme teams to meet communications objectives and use communications tactics to support the prize’s theory of change.
• Lead the development of Challenge Works’ multimedia storytelling capabilities. Oversee the production of high-quality video, digital, and editorial content that brings the impact and stories of our innovators to life.
• Develop and deliver an always on content strategy across Challenge Works owned channels which identifies narrative arcs within individual prizes that can be leveraged to elevate the global Challenge Works brand.
• Establish and manage a tracking and reporting framework to evaluate the effectiveness of comms activity throughout a campaign, using data to provide actionable, data-informed recommendations based on insights for the Senior Communications and Marketing Manager and prize delivery teams.
• Oversee and curate a pool of external suppliers, ensuring we achieve high-quality outputs and strong value for money. Hold specific responsibility for managing and nurturing the relationship with web developers, ensuring digital products - especially prize microsites - are well-designed, functional, and delivered to spec.
• Equip prize delivery teams with high-quality comms tools and guidance. Develop and maintain practical toolkits, run training sessions, and provide tailored advice so that each team consistently applies best-practice communications and is confident in communicating its prize for maximum impact.

The person

• Significant experience managing multi-channel marketing and communications campaigns (ideally within innovation, tech, policy, or purpose-driven sectors) with demonstrable commercial or reputational impact.
• A strong track record of conceptualising and delivering creative content campaigns, with specific experience in using video and digital storytelling to engage complex audiences.
• Experience briefing and managing external creative agencies or freelancers, ensuring high-quality outputs and value for money.
• Experience developing a range of content formats including graphics, video, and audio, using platforms such as Canva or Adobe.

What we offer
