We have a newly created opportunity for a Test Team Leader to join our fantastic Technology team at RBL.

Here at the Royal British Legion, we are currently embarking on an exciting new phase with our Customer, Technology and Change directorate. Based in our Product Engineering team, the new Test Team Leader will be responsible for defining and leading the quality approach across Agile product squads, ensuring that changes delivered into our technology estate are robust and reliable. It will provide clear leadership to Test Analysts, enabling consistent, high-quality testing practices and supporting the development of a strong, capability-driven test practice within the Technology team.

Reporting to our Head of Product Engineering, this role will work collaboratively with Product Owners, Delivery Managers, Business Analysts, Engineers and third parties ensureing that quality is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle. It will champion continuous improvement, advocate for automation where it adds value and removes repetition and drives a culture in which every team member shares responsibility for delivering high-quality, low-risk change.

The successful applicant will have proven experience experience leading testing activity within Agile or hybrid delivery environments, ideally in a multi-product or multi-team technology organisation, alongside experience managing Test Analysts. You will be contracted to our Haig House hub with a minimum expectation of two days per week working in person at the hub and flexibility for working remotely/at home when not on site.

The Senior Finance Officer is a broad new role reporting to the Head of Finance. It provides a brilliant opportunity to learn and develop through contributing to most areas of our small finance team’s work including month-end close, payment run process, finance system administration, monthly budget-holder reporting, year end and audit, fundraising support and investments and banking administration. 

We are looking for a part qualified accountant or equivalent who can bring a good understanding of bookkeeping and double entry. As a role covering broad areas, you will also need a demonstrable understanding of charity accounting technicalities and recommended practice, ideally gained from working in the sector. With a high level of attention to detail, you should be proficient in the use of finance systems, with Advanced Excel skills, and an interest in utilising AI. 

The role includes interaction at all levels, including senior management and our trustee board and requires skills to communicate finance to non-finance stakeholders and good written skills.

This is a new role. The Ramblers are looking for a proactive Programme Lead to help us open and protect paths, so more people can enjoy the benefits of walking outdoors.

This role will lead our Path Protection work, to help people understand their rights, take local action to protect paths and improve the places where they live. A key part of the role is working with and supporting a network of knowledgeable volunteers across Great Britain, to take practical action in their communities.

You’ll focus on creating programmes that make it easier for more people – especially those with the most barriers and least access – to get involved, speak up for their local paths, and take action that leads to real improvements.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience in public rights of way, outdoor access, planning, environmental protection or a related field – and who can turn that knowledge into practical, community-led action.

Context and purpose of role

At Ramblers we work to empower the public and volunteers to take action to protect paths and access – whether claiming lost rights of way, pursuing resolutions to path problems, or objecting to changes to the definitive map. As a member of the Programmes team, the Programme Lead (Path Protection) will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the programme across GB.

Key responsibilities

· Lead on the design, development and operational delivery of the Path Protection programme across GB.

· Create operational delivery plans – to identify milestones, monitor risks, resolve issues and manage resource requirements.

Role Purpose

The Partnerships Development Lead will be responsible for proactively generating significant income from five and six figure corporate partnerships.

You will manage the new business pipeline, identify new opportunities with prospective corporate partners and develop lasting relationships with them. You will develop compelling applications and creative partnerships proposals securing new and exciting partnerships for Child Bereavement UK.

How are staff supported to work remotely? 

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.
