We are looking for a Communications Manager to play a key role in shaping and delivering communications and marketing activity across supporter and corporate audiences.

We are based in London and support young people via our direct delivery programmes. We take what we learn from our work and use it to inspire businesses across the UK to do more to improve social mobility (making sure people from all backgrounds get fair opportunities).

We do this by:

· Running large events like The UK Social Mobility Awards to celebrate companies doing it well.

· Organising Social Mobility Day to raise awareness.

· Publishing The Social Mobility Podcast and Social Mobility List to share ideas and highlight role models.

This role sits within the Marketing Communications team and supports the Head of Communications to deliver audience-centred communications and marketing that increases visibility, engagement and impact.

You will lead day-to-day marketing and communications activity, developing audience journeys and delivering targeted, campaigns, with a strong focus on email, digital content and social media.

You will work closely with colleagues across the charity to ensure marketing effectively supports organisational priorities.

You will contribute to several key priorities, including the 10th UK Social Mobility Awards, the development of our email marketing, and a strengthened storytelling approach centred on impact.

Prisoners Abroad is the only UK charity supporting British people imprisoned overseas, people returning to the UK after release, and their family members. About the role

We’re looking for a proactive Engagement and Communications Officer with experience supporting multi-channel activity across an organisation. You’ll bring creativity, insight and strong delivery skills to help plan and produce marketing and communications that engage key audiences and support our central services and wider teams.

Working with the Marketing Manager, you’ll help deliver agreed marketing plans and day-to-day communications activity. Working across Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships and Legacies, you’ll shape proposals, reports and engagement materials that show both the human impact and the value of supporting Alzheimer’s Society.
This is a role that blends creativity with delivery. You’ll need to think strategically, write persuasively and manage multiple priorities in a fast moving environment where quality and deadlines matter.
You’ll also lead and develop an Impact Communications Officer, working closely with another Impact Communications Manager within our High Value Operations team to shape and strengthen this specialist function.
This role is a 12-month fixed term contract.
What you'll do
You'll help our high value fundraising teams secure support, grow income and build long term partnerships. You’ll combine creative thinking with strong delivery, making sure communications are engaging, clear and effective.
You’ll lead on writing proposals, pitches, reports and stewardship materials for high value audiences, shaping messaging and turning complex information into persuasive content that drives action.
You’ll also work across the organisation to gather insight, identify opportunities and bring together stories, evidence and data that demonstrate impact. Alongside this, you’ll support donor meetings, presentations and events with high quality communications that build trust and confidence.
Key responsibilities include:

- Leading high value fundraising communications from brief to delivery

You will own all communications channels, email, web, social and beyond, and act as the guardian of the Trust's tone, brand and editorial standards, ensuring that everything produced reflects the heritage, quality and ambition of one of Britain's most storied institutions.

The Role

We’re looking for a Digital Communications Manager to lead the creation and delivery of compelling, high-quality digital content to our global audiences.

This is a varied, hands-on role that plays a key part in strengthening the Foundation’s digital presence and ensuring communications are engaging, consistent, and aligned with organisational priorities. You will work closely with the Head of Communications & Advocacy and colleagues across the organisation to manage our digital platforms, oversee content production, and deliver effective, audience-focused communications.

Your work will span website and CMS management, social media and email campaigns, design, multimedia content development, and digital analytics—ensuring that content is impactful, channels are effectively managed, and performance is continuously improved.

It will be essential for you to play a central role in using data and insights to refine content and targeting strategies, ensuring digital communications support partnership development, influence key stakeholders, and enhance the Foundation’s overall visibility and impact.

About You

The successful candidate will be a highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented digital communications professional with a track record of managing digital content, platforms, and campaigns at an organisational level. Technically savvy, you will thrive in using data and insights to inform decisions and improve digital engagement, alongside your accomplished content creation skills. Job summary

The Communications and Marketing Manager plays a central role in helping Overcoming MS reach and support more people living with multiple sclerosis worldwide. The role leads the creation of compelling, evidence-based, and emotionally engaging communications that strengthen connections with our community, raise awareness of the Overcoming MS approach, support fundraising, engagement, and behaviour change, and showcase our services and offerings. 

Working across communications channels, campaigns, storytelling and community engagement, the postholder will enable our audiences to feel they have the appropriate level of information and confidence to make lifestyle changes, through the support we offer to live a full and healthy life with MS. 

Key responsibilities and duties: 
The role comprises the following key areas of responsibility: 

Communication and campaign creation 

• Craft engaging, accessible and audience-focused communications which inspire action, deepen engagement and build trust. 

• Plan and execute integrated marketing and communications campaigns across digital channels, print, PR and Community channels in alignment with our Fundraising and Communications Strategy.

• Support the Head of Communications, Marketing & Digital with campaign planning, aligning Communications objectives to organisational and income generation objectives. 

• Support the Services team with the promotion of our services, including the dissemination of insights and data, to grow our awareness and engagement 

• Support colleagues and audiences. Working with stakeholders to ensure communications are planned and delivered at the right time to meet their needs.

• Ability to communicate complex or sensitive information in a clear, accessible and empathetic way. 

• Understanding of inclusive and accessible communications best practice. 

Using results to drive change 

• Use audience insight, analytics and user behaviour to shape campaigns and improve engagement.

Storytelling and Community voices

Social media and content creation 

• Lead on building our impact and engagement on social media with our audiences, in line with our objectives, including supporting awareness and engagement campaigns and fundraising. 

• Ensure that we are using the best tools and techniques by staying up to date with trends. 

• Monitor social media, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to enquiries. 

• Use analytics to constantly optimise our social media impact. 

• Ensure content is accessible, audience-led and aligned with best practice in health communication. 

• Support content development across both digital and print communications where required. 

• Working closely with the services team, lead the content creation and maintenance of our website to maximise our impact with audiences. 

• Build and nurture relationships with celebrity ambassadors, influencers and public supporters. 

Email marketing 

• Develop content for email marketing, including for fundraising and events campaigns. 

• Optimise email by A/B testing content to maximise performance through design and content improvements, and creating triggered email sequences to build our message. 

• Use audience segmentation and personalisation to support campaigns. 

• Use analytics to identify ways to constantly optimise our email impact. 

Community Engagement 

• Support our digital community through different discussion groups and platforms (social media, hubs, etc). Including liaising with internal teams and promoting best practice. 

• Support online events and drive positive engagement opportunities.

Brand communication 

• Ensuring all activity aligns with brand priorities. 

• Championing on-brand messaging. Acting as a trusted expert on brand tone of voice.  

• Ensuring all media and communications guidelines/policies are followed and kept updated. 

• Sharing best practice with the wider organisation and continuing professional development.

Creative skills 

• Generate and develop creative and innovative ideas with a good eye for brand, design, film and photography.

• Develop clear briefs and oversee production of high-quality digital and printed communications materials.

PR and Media

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

• Self-motivated and adaptable/proactive, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively

• Highly organised, able to manage a content schedule, and plan and deliver digital campaigns. Able to prioritise work across multiple projects to meet deadlines.

Supporter Engagement & Fundraising Communications Manager — Go Beyond £35,000–£37,000 | Fully Remote | Permanent | Full-time

Go Beyond has given over 21,000 vulnerable children life-changing residential breaks since 1994. Young carers who spend their days looking after parents. Children living in poverty for whom a school holiday means hunger, not adventure. Children who've been bullied or bereaved and need a week away from their ordinary life.

The charity is entirely self-funded. £1.8 million a year, every penny raised by supporters. No government money. Which means the work this fundraising team does is directly and specifically what makes those breaks possible.

This is the role that sits at the heart of that.

What makes this moment unusual:

Go Beyond's flagship campaign, Ice Cream Moments, launches this summer — backed by Louis Theroux, James Acaster, David Gower and Jenny Agutter. The trustees want to go viral. A legacy programme is built and ready to launch. An alumni programme connecting with 21,000+ former beneficiaries is research-complete and waiting for someone to open the door. And a loyal supporter base of 200–300 regular givers — many of whom have been giving for over a decade — is generating £90,000 a year with almost no stewardship behind it.

Sara, the Director of Fundraising, describes what's needed like this: "Think of this as your own company. Think of this income stream as your domain — you could make it something amazing."

What the role involves:

The Supporter Engagement & Fundraising Communications Manager will own the supporter communications function end to end. This is a project management and strategy role — not an execution role. The doing sits with two direct reports and a network of freelancers. Your job is to build the plan, manage the team, deliver the campaigns and make sure the data tells you what's working.

In practice that means:

• Building and managing proper supporter journeys for regular givers, challenge event runners and Ice Cream Moments donors
• Project managing the full campaigns calendar — four annual appeals, Ice Cream Moments, challenge events, and a growing digital communications programme
• Developing and implementing a data strategy, setting up income dashboards and overseeing the CRM
• Launching the legacy programme and, in time, the alumni programme
• Managing two direct reports: a Digital Marketing Officer and a Data & Admin / Challenge Events Officer
• Writing an 18-month strategy with proper pipelines and income forecasts

What we're looking for:

This is not a pure fundraiser role or a pure marketing role. It's a hybrid — and the right person will see that as a feature, not a confusion.

• A track record of owning campaigns end to end — not being part of them, owning them. Specific examples, with dates, outputs and results
• Genuine data literacy — comfortable in a CRM, able to run queries, understand segmentation. Not expert-level, but curious enough that you're never caught out
• Financial awareness — you ask what the target is before anything else. You work backwards from an income number
• Hands-on as well as strategic — you can delegate and direct, but you can also do
• Strong project management — multiple workstreams, freelancers, deadlines you can't move

Charity sector experience is welcome but not essential. Commercial direct marketing, agency-side or individual giving backgrounds are all genuinely considered.
