Events Fundraising Manager role:
We are seeking a highly organised, creative, and results-driven Event Manager to lead and grow Roundabout’s events portfolio. This is a pivotal role in our fundraising team, taking overall responsibility for the planning, delivery, and evaluation of our events programme to maximise income, engage supporters, and raise awareness of youth homelessness in South Yorkshire.
As Event Manager, you will have ownership of our flagship events — A Night at the Musicals, Sleep Out, and The Yorkshire Chocolate Festival — ensuring they are delivered to the highest standard and achieve ambitious fundraising targets. You will also lead the development of our third-party events calendar, identifying and leveraging opportunities such as the Sheffield 10k, Tough Mudder, and Sky Dives to engage new audiences.
Your role will combine strategic planning with hands-on delivery. You will:
- Create a calendar of events and fundraising opportunities.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring strong return on investment.
- Lead event logistics, highlight marketing needs, and supporter stewardship strategies.
- Recruit, manage, and motivate event volunteers and fundraisers.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with corporate partners, sponsors, and key stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of Roundabout’s events strategy and portfolio, ensuring all events contribute significantly to income generation, supporter engagement, and brand awareness.
- Set, monitor, and deliver against annual KPIs, budgets, and plans, working closely with the Fundraising Manager to ensure strategic alignment and maximum return on investment.
- Oversee all event planning processes — from initial concept through to research, delivery and evaluation — ensuring detailed work plans, risk assessments, and supplier agreements are in place.
- Evaluate the performance of all events using data and feedback, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation across the portfolio.
- Proactively develop and secure sponsorship and partnership opportunities alongside our Business Development and Partnership Managers, building strong relationships with corporate partners, community groups, and key stakeholders.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for both charity-led and third-party events, ensuring they are motivated, supported, and delivering to a high standard.
- Oversee the supporter journey for all event participants, ensuring exceptional communication, stewardship, and engagement from registration to post-event follow-up.
- Manage event marketing and promotion in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team, ensuring targeted campaigns maximise reach, participation, and income.
- Produce accurate and timely reports on event performance, supporter engagement, and income tracking for internal stakeholders and trustees.
- Present and pitch on behalf of Roundabout at networking events, corporate meetings, and public speaking opportunities, inspiring audiences to support our mission and take action.
- Represent Roundabout at networking opportunities, partnership meetings, and external events, acting as an ambassador for the charity.

Person Specification
- Proven track record of leading and growing income across events or fundraising.
- Strategic and imaginative leader who can turn big-picture ideas into practical, results-driven plans. Demonstrate ability to adapt, show resilience and be flexible
- Minimum GCSE Grade C in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills, paired with a compelling writing style to produce a wide range of content — from grant applications and communication strategies to supporter updates, event timelines, website copy, and promotional materials.
- Experience in using Windows-based software packages such as Excel and CRM Systems with experience of analysing spreadsheets.
- Proven experience in overseeing Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and risk assessments, including developing event strategies, management plans, and related documentation.
- Demonstrable experience delivering exceptional supporter and customer care, including building strong relationships, responding promptly to inquiries, anticipating needs, resolving issues effectively, and ensuring a consistently positive experience that fosters loyalty and engagement.
- Proven project management skills, encompassing the full project lifecycle from planning to delivery, including budgeting, resource allocation, timeline management, stakeholder coordination, and monitoring outcomes to ensure objectives are met on time and within budget.
- Experienced in using fundraising platforms (e.g., JustGiving), including creating fundraising pages, providing guidance and advice, and applying knowledge of charity legislation, the Fundraising Regulator, and current sector trends.

About the role

About The Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager / HR Operations Manager to join our team on a fixed term basis from October 2025 to cover a period of maternity leave of 8 months which will include time with the current post holder for induction. It's an exciting time to join our team as we work through departmental change and transformation.
This role will lead the provision of a high quality, efficient and cost-effective HR Service for WWT (both in the UK and overseas) for employed staff and casual workers through a fantastic team of administrators and working with HR Business Partners.
As this role is on a fixed term basis, it will primarily focus on ensuring the delivery of administration for the employee lifecycle, systems administration and optimisation of payroll and recruitment products, statutory reporting and policy / procedure development. The successful candidate will possess a unique skill of ensuring compliance but also continuous improvement.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking a highly experienced fundraising and communications expert, who has a passion for storytelling and building impactful relationships. You must be able to hit the ground running, have a strong record of developing and leading successful teams by building highly effective relationships. This role is all about inspiring leadership, strategic innovation, and maximising every opportunity to grow our vital work.
Experience and understanding of the humanitarian sector is desirable, as is an understanding of current fundraising opportunities and challenges, ethical storytelling and communication trends. Sounds great, what will I be doing?
The role is responsible for delivering full housing management services across a portfolio of 50–100 supported accommodation units, with a focus on tenancy sustainment, legal compliance, and strong financial performance. This includes facilitating onboarding and exit processes for service users, promoting tenancy expectations early on, and embedding a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIPE) approach. Accurate and GDPR-compliant tenancy records must be maintained, with regular monitoring and reporting on tenancy issues through internal dashboards and quarterly reviews.
The position also involves driving rent and service charge collection, preventing arrears through proactive engagement, and taking recovery action where needed. We were founded as a Welsh organisation providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage. In January 2024, we expanded into ‘phase one’ England, namely Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Somerset. Context of role:
The Immediate Support and Debrief Manager will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of our specialist immediate support service for families, professionals and individuals affected by sudden bereavement. You will be responsible for ensuring that our services are trauma-informed, responsive and delivered to a consistently high standard supporting the complex and individual needs of those who have experienced profound loss.
This role will oversee the existing immediate support service delivered across Wales and the expansion phases across England. You will manage a team of fifteen individuals who are a mixture of full and part time roles. This is a unique and hugely rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of suddenly bereaved individuals across our communities.
You will work closely with the Children and Young People Service Manager and the Therapies Assessor and Service Manager to provide a holistic, joined up service to all who access our service.
Main duties:
- To manage the bereavement service including the operational delivery of immediate support and debriefs, ensuring the service is delivered consistently, responsively and to a high standard
- To oversee the database of 2wish Champions within hospitals and police forces across Wales and the two phases of England
- Lead upon, develop and maintain safeguarding practices and procedures in line with national guidelines and attend the bi-monthly internal Safeguarding Committee meetings.
- To oversee the delivery and develop training delivered to professional partners
- Oversee and manage a database of stakeholder contacts and families ensuring that Data Protection legislation and GDPR guidelines are implemented and adhered to
- To work closely with the Head of Bereavement Services to ensure delivery and growth of services
- Attend bereavement forums and other relevant meetings as required by, or in place of, the Head of Bereavement Services
- To be able to provide outstanding immediate emotional support and advice to families and those we support as required
Management:
- To lead, motivate and line manage the immediate support team responsible for delivering our immediate support and debrief service
- Manage a diverse team, organise regular team meetings and set realistic but challenging objectives to further the work of the charity
- To carry our monthly supervisions and bi-annual appraisals with the Immediate Support Coordinators
- To carry out monthly case reviews with the Immediate Support team
- To produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to evidence activity and impact
- To develop and oversee a training programme for the team including mandatory and varied subject matter
General:
- To be responsible for organising own work agenda, time management and administration
- To show respect and sensitivity for the cultural and religious beliefs of families
- To undertake learning opportunities and seek them out for the team
- To adhere to all company policies and procedures including Safeguarding, Confidentiality, Health and Safety and Lone Working; and to be proactive in implementing new safe working practices as appropriate
- To attend weekend and evening community events in support of the charity as necessary
- Participate as and when required in team meetings and one-to-one meetings, and undertake, as appropriate, courses/training/other developmental activities, which is relevant to the role
- Contribute on the social media platforms maintained by 2wish
It is the nature of the work that tasks and responsibilities are in may circumstances unpredictable and varied. All employees are therefore expected to work in a flexible way and tasks, which are not specifically covered in their job description may have to be undertaken.
You will be subject to performance review, which will incorporate a review of the above duties and performance over the period.
This role is subject to a DBS check.
Salary: Starting salary of £32,000 per annum, with the opportunity for an increase through the annual appraisal structure.
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Normal office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.
Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.
Pension: 2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. Full details of the scheme will be provided to you once you are enrolled, including the minimum level of contributions that you will be required to make during your membership (current contributions - employer 3% and employee 5%).
Mileage: A fixed rate allowance is payable for agreed mileage undertaken on 2wish business in a private vehicle, over and above your usual journey to your workplace/s.
Location: Flexible - Mainly home working with regular travel to areas of service delivery, and regular travel to 2wish Head Office in South Wales.
