About the role
As Social Media Video Producer, you’ll be at the heart of one of the UK’s most exciting social media teams, specialising in short-form video content that brings the Natural History Museum’s extraordinary collections, science and stories to life. Your work will spark curiosity about nature and inspire audiences to visit the Museum and take positive action for our world, ultimately helping us achieve our mission of creating advocates for the planet.
This is a specialist role focused on the creation, filming and editing of short-form video content, including for TikTok, Instagram and Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts and emerging platforms. You’ll be a native short-form creator – someone who lives and breathes the platforms, understands what makes thumb-stopping content, and can turn a fascinating specimen or nature fact into compelling, shareable video content, often at speed.
A typical week will see you filming and editing short-form video on your phone daily using native editing tools (e.g. TikTok editor, CapCut) and Adobe Premiere Pro, responding to trends in real time, pitching creative video ideas, and collaborating closely with the Social Media Executives and Social Media Manager to deliver a bold and impactful content calendar. You’ll also work alongside our Studios team on opportunities to adapt or complement longer-form video content.
You will apply your video skills to tell the amazing stories behind our fascinating collection of over 80 million objects, our 150-year history and our 350+ in-house scientists working to better understand nature and enable a future where people and planet thrive.
This role reports to the Social Media Manager and is part of the wider Digital Content team. It will require occasional weekend or evening work (for example when covering special events or breaking news moments) and may offer the opportunity for some travel, including to our sites at Tring and Reading. You’ll benefit from flexible working (with at least two days per week in the office), training and development opportunities, and the chance to work at the UK’s favourite museum where social media video is recognised as a strategically important and rapidly growing part of how we connect with audiences worldwide.
About you
You're a short-form video specialist who lives and breathes social media — someone who instinctively knows what will stop the scroll, can read a trend before it peaks, and makes fast creative decisions without losing sight of quality. You have a strong portfolio of short-form video work for brands on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts or equivalent, and you're expert at filming and editing on mobile using native tools. You have an instinctive feel for pacing, sound and visual storytelling — and ideally, you're as comfortable in front of the camera as behind it.
You can demonstrate a mix of brave creative instincts and editorial judgement. You'll find the compelling angle in a potentially complex story and translate it into content that's genuinely engaging, accurate and responsible. You're not afraid to take risks, bring humour and emotion to your work, and pitch bold ideas — but you're also organised, collaborative and able to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines. You're excited about the opportunity to build strong relationships with scientists, curators and colleagues across a range of teams that result in great content. And, you're comfortable using performance data not just to understand what works and doesn't (and help colleagues understand the same), but to shape what you do next to maximise engagements and views across our social channels.

Kidney Research UK is the leading charity dedicated to funding research into the prevention, treatment and management of kidney disease. We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and responsible research coordinator to join our dynamic Data Science and NURTuRE team.
This is a key role supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the NURTuRE biobank, helping to facilitate access to data and samples for kidney researchers and supporting the expansion of the biobank into new kidney diseases. The role will also contribute to strategic initiatives within our growing Data Science programme.
We are looking for a highly organised individual with excellent communication and coordination skills who enjoys working with a wide range of stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, industry partners and funding applicants. The successful candidate will support meetings, committees and strategic research initiatives, while helping to ensure the effective day-to-day running of the programme.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing administrative support to the Data Science and NURTuRE team
• Coordinating internal and external meetings and committee activity
• Supporting the delivery of strategic research programmes and events
• Preparing reports, meeting papers and documentation to a high standard
• Maintaining accurate records and databases
• Supporting engagement with external stakeholders and collaborators
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Experience coordinating meetings and taking minutes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office and managing multiple priorities
• A positive, flexible and collaborative approach
• An interest in medical research, healthcare or data science
• Understanding of medical or scientific terminology would be advantageous.

Animal Free Research UK is a UK charity working to replace the use of animals in medical research. It funds and supports pioneering, human-relevant science such as advanced lab models, data science and other non-animal research methods that aim to deliver better treatments for diseases faster.

Media and PR Manager
Contract: Permanent, full time position
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum
Location: Animal Free Research UK is a fully remote organisation, and this is therefore a predominantly home based role. The postholder will be required to travel within the UK around 10 to 12 times per year for team get togethers or events and meetings. Travel will be paid by the organisation when required

About the role
This is a truly exciting opportunity for a talented media and PR professional to really be creative in a brand new role for an organisation which has made some fantastic inroads into the influencer and media spaces over the past 18 months.
Building on a solid foundation you will be responsible for elevating the organisation's public profile and driving engagement with core media and influencer audiences at a pivotal moment for the organisation.
Delivering influencer and media work that supports across celebrity engagement and fundraising, public affairs advocacy, as well as the organisation's new Centre for Human Specific Research, yours will be a core role within the team.
Key responsibilities within the role will be as follows:
- Develop and implement integrated PR campaigns that support the charity's public affairs work, the Centre for Human Specific Research, and wider initiatives
- Create persuasive PR materials, including press releases, op-eds, spokespeople briefings, comment pieces, and digital content
- Identify newsworthy stories related to campaign milestones, scientific breakthroughs, policy announcements, and funded research
- Maintain and grow relationships with journalists, broadcasters, sector media, influencers, and celebrity supporters to secure sustained, high-quality coverage
- Draft, place, and pitch press releases, letters to editors, feature articles, and broadcast opportunities aligned with brand guidelines and with appropriate organisational sign-off.
- Act as first point of contact for media enquiries, managing proactive and reactive press activity
- Track media coverage, sentiment, and reach, using analytics to refine strategy and maximise impact.
- Build on the charity's success with celebrity supporters and social media campaigns to increase visibility, engagement, and fundraising impact
- Develop and launch a Celebrity Ambassador Scheme, identifying, onboarding, and supporting high-profile advocates
- Plan and deliver PR events, photo opportunities, digital campaigns, and celebrity-led activations that amplify awareness, engagement, and fundraising outcomes
- Collaborate closely with the digital team to align PR campaigns with social media strategy, amplifying reach through Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms
- Track and report on the impact of social media and celebrity-led initiatives, using insights to optimise campaigns and inform future strategy
- Support crisis and risk communications planning, ensuring consistent, credible responses on sensitive or complex issues.
- Monitor, evaluate and regularly report on the effectiveness of PR output for senior colleagues, identifying recommendations for continual improvement

We'd love to hear from individuals with the following core skills and experience:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent through experience
- PR and/or media trained with a professional qualification or equivalent through experience
- Demonstrable success in securing high-impact media coverage in national, broadcast, and digital media
- Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with journalists, influencers, and high-profile supporters
- Strong copywriting and editing skills tailored to diverse audiences
- Experience managing a media desk, including proactive and reactive work
- Ability to interpret complex scientific or policy content and communicate it clearly and compellingly
- Influential communicator with strong interpersonal skills, confidence in public engagement and stakeholder management
- Familiarity with media monitoring and CRM tools
- Deep commitment to animal protection, scientific integrity, and the strategic goals of Animal Free Research UK
- Strategic thinker who can act tactically, manage multiple priorities, and work under tight deadlines
- Flexible and resilient approach to work, with willingness to travel and work out-of-hours as needed
