Purpose of the Job
Development and delivery of the Data, Research and Impact strategy through a cascade of the overall business strategy by ensuring Felix uses robust evidence, technology and research to maximise its social impact and make effective strategic decisions.
The role provides strategic leadership for the Impact & Insights function at a pivotal stage for Felix post-merger. It will also play a critical role as we reshape and transition Data, Digital and Technology, clarifying ownership of business logic, measurement frameworks, KPIs, data quality and governance so that Impact & Insights, Technology and business owners have clear accountabilities and can build greater organisational data maturity. Through this, the role will embed data-informed decision making across the organisation, underpinned by strong governance, reporting frameworks and cross-functional collaboration.

In this position, you will work as part of our IT-savvy External Relations team, providing support to UWC International across our IT and digital landscape, including Google Workspace. While experience with Google Workspace is preferred, we are open to candidates with an inquisitive mind who, with training, can learn new systems quickly.
This is an exciting time to join us, as we are undertaking a digital infrastructure project that includes developing a new application platform and CRM. Although you will not be managing these projects, there will be opportunities to get involved, allowing you to further develop your skills.
Currently, this is a fixed-term position related to the completion of the digital infrastructure project. However, there is potential for the role to become permanent and to grow once the new systems are fully implemented.

The Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Data Management Officer to join the charity’s Data and Insights Function. You will be joining the charity at a time of significant opportunity as we continue to strengthen our approach to data, insight and supporter engagement.
The Data Management Officer will mainly be responsible for managing and developing our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and supporter data. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CRM and data professional who enjoys hands-on responsibility for systems, process improvement and data management, and enabling colleagues to deliver exceptional fundraising, marketing and supporter engagement activity. Working closely with teams across the charity, you will ensure our CRM remains effective, compliant and fit for purpose while helping us better understand and engage our supporters. We are seeking a Policy Manager to lead IPSEA's policy and influencing work to achieve positive change for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families. Working closely with the Chief Executive, Head of Legal and Training, trustees and colleagues across the organisation, you will set strategic policy priorities and develop evidence-based influencing plans that support IPSEA's mission and long-term objectives.
Drawing on insights from our advice and tribunal services, legal expertise and the experiences of families, you will identify systemic issues within the SEND system and develop policy solutions that improve children and young people's access to the support and education to which they are entitled. You will ensure that IPSEA's policy positions are credible, legally robust and informed by the lived experiences of those we support.
You will lead IPSEA's engagement with government, Parliament and other key decision-makers, identifying opportunities to influence legislation, policy and practice at both national and local level. This includes overseeing responses to consultations, parliamentary inquiries and calls for evidence, as well as preparing briefings and strategic advice to support senior-level engagement and advocacy.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across legal, communications, fundraising and training teams, you will ensure IPSEA's policy, campaigning and public affairs activities are aligned and maximise the organisation's impact. You will also monitor developments across the political, legal and policy landscape, helping IPSEA respond proactively to emerging opportunities and challenges affecting the rights of children and young people with SEND.

Who are we looking for?
You will have significant experience in a senior policy and campaigning/public affairs role and have good knowledge of local and national government structure including the legislative process.

Your research and critical thinking skills enable you to analyse policy and data to produce relevant reports and position papers. You have experience of drafting organisation responses to government consultations and parliamentary calls for evidence.
