We are looking for a new team member to join our service supporting Carers across Havering to improve their health and wellbeing, and access wider support that meets their needs.
This is a great opportunity to support local communities, working with Adult Carers and Young Adult Carers and helping them to make informed choices, build confidence, sustain their independence, and access support that meets their individual needs. You will carry out assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need, working together to co-produce support plans. This will involve meeting Carers in community settings and conducting home visits. The team also facilities coffee mornings and activities offering Carers opportunities for peer support and to take a break from caring.
You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.
This is a part-time role (22.5 hours), and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Carers and/or vulnerable adults in a relevant sector. It’s essential that you are confident using IT and maintaining excellent records. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services.
Due to the area covered by the service, you will need a valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

What could my day look like?
The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.
In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.
As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort.

About the Role

Each year, hundreds of young people from dozens of countries and living in London & Bristol take part in our residential programmes, leadership training and youth hubs. Our residentials are often the first step – immersive, relationship-rich spaces where young people connect, reflect and begin to see themselves as leaders. Groundwork South is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Project Officer (Community Development and Training) to support delivery of our National Lottery-funded Communities Prepared programme in Devon.
Communities Prepared works with volunteers and communities across England to help them build the skills, confidence and knowledge needed to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies. This includes supporting communities to plan for climate-related risks such as flooding, storms, heat waves, and severe weather.
This role will play a key part in delivering the final stages of the Devon Resilience Innovation Project (DRIP), a £7.3 million programme funded through the UK Government’s Flood and Coastal Resilience Innovation Programme and administered by the Environment Agency.
Working closely with partners including Devon County Council, you will engage with communities across Devon to increase awareness of flood risk and support them to strengthen their resilience.
About the Project and the Role
The Devon Resilience Innovation Project (DRIP) is testing innovative ways to improve flood resilience in communities across Devon. This role will focus on engaging 28 priority communities to assess uptake of support for community emergency planning and Flood Warden training.
Key Responsibilities
As Senior Project Officer, you will:
- Design and deliver a targeted community engagement plan across Devon.
- Raise awareness of local climate and flood risks.
- Support communities to develop emergency and flood plans.

Magpas Air Ambulance are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Philanthropy Officer to join their growing Philanthropy team to cover a 12 month period of maternity leave. The role will work across Trusts, Foundations and individuals moving them through the philanthropy giving cycle; identification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and recognition.
Magpas Air Ambulance brings the very best pre-hospital emergency care, in the air or on land, including treatments usually available in a hospital. In 2025, we experienced our busiest year on record, our lifesaving service is in continued and growing demand, we need a dedicated and ambitious Senior Philanthropy Officer to help us deliver our plans to raise vital funds from philanthropic audiences.
Role Summary:
- Identify, develop and manage a portfolio of funders and donors including trusts, foundations and major donors to meet financial and non-financial targets
- Maximise income through the development of co-ordinated stewardship and relationship management
- Produce compelling proposals, reports, and presentations. and deliver inspiring base tours.
- Source funding for specific projects and work programmes, as well as core costs
- Manage an opportunity pipeline, research and identify new prospects
- Report progress against financial and non financial KPI’s on a monthly basis
- Support the Philanthropy Manager with strategic projects to build and develop philanthropy at Magpas Air Ambulance
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in a philanthropy or fundraising relationship management role, within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
- Strong track record in securing and managing philanthropic donors and building long-term relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport with Trusts and Foundations, HNWI’s, Trustees and Senior volunteers.
- Experience in managing donor portfolios and opportunity pipelines.
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple applications/relationships simultaneously
- Full driving licence with own transport

As our Recovery Lounge Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of this vital service across Leighton Buzzard, Luton, Bedford, and Biggleswade. What You’ll Do
- Champion the day-to-day operation of our Recovery Lounges, ensuring safe, effective, person-centred support, in line with Mind BLMK’s service delivery models, policies and procedures.
- Lead, inspire, and supervise staff and volunteers, fostering growth, wellbeing, and confidence.
- Assess individuals’ needs, offer a community setting where those who struggle with isolation can find engagement, deliver 1:1 support, and help prevent further deterioration or crisis.
- Build strong partnerships with NHS mental health services and local community groups to maximise impact.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, data management, and service quality.
- Represent Mind BLMK across Bedfordshire, strengthening awareness and engagement with our crisis services.
- Work closely with the Crisis Services Delivery Manager and Operational Crisis Services Manager to deliver a successful and valued service.
