Inspire mission and discipleship of children and young people  

We are looking for a dynamic team player who is passionate about creating opportunities for children and young people to explore the Bible, respond to Jesus and grow in faith, and who can inspire and equip others to do the same.    

Location: Home-based– predominantly covering the areas of Newcastle, Byker, Felton and Cramlington.  This Scripture Union role will be working alongside St Thomas Church, Newcastle and working ecumenically alongside other churches to grow mission in the local area.

About Scripture Union     

You might have heard of us before if you're one of the 1.5 million+ who have attended one of our Christian holidays or missions over the years, or maybe you're one of the 40,000+ subscribers to have used our brilliant devotionals or been stirred by our exceptional bible resources. We've been at this for a fair few years... over 150 to be precise. Over this time, we’ve remained passionate about helping children and young people develop a vibrant faith in Jesus. The successful candidate will be a part of our North Regional team of 9 other workers who between us work across the North region.

Job description: Revealing Jesus Pioneer Scripture Union    

You will work ecumenically in and around Newcastle multiplying your impact through equipping, empowering and mobilising others in outreach work. You’ll add energy, expertise, direction, and skill to the mix. You’ll recruit, motivate, train, equip, coach and support Faith Guides; you’ll work in partnership with this group as well as leading by example, you will model excellent mission delivery to children and young people aligned with SU’s mission.

About The Role
At Alzheimer’s Society, no one should face dementia alone. We support people through some of the hardest moments in their lives.
As a Content Executive, you will help turn complex information into clear, practical content that people can trust. You will work in our Strategic Content Team and help shape content for people affected by dementia and to engage wider audiences to support Alzheimer’s Society’s cause.
This is a role for someone who cares about words and their impact. You will help make sure our content is accurate, easy to understand, inclusive and useful. People may read it on a phone at night, in a clinic, or with family.
People come into content roles from many paths. You might come from charity, agency, journalism, in-house communications, or another route. What matters most is your ability to create clear, helpful content.
We support different ways of working and value curiosity, learning and teamwork. We want people to do their best work in a way that works for them.
What you will do
You will create content that helps people affected by dementia by turning complex information into clear and practical guidance.
This could include editing dementia support resources, writing copy for a campaign, improving webpages, or scripting short videos and audio.
You will help ensure content meets high editorial standards, including Patient Information Forum (PIF) standards for health information. You will use feedback and insight to improve content, and you will also support work across fundraising, campaigns and wider projects.
 In your day-to-day work, you will:

- write and edit clear, accessible content across web, print, digital and scripts
- support dementia health information so it meets PIF standards
- collaborate with colleagues to meet user and organisational needs
- use feedback and insight to improve content
- support planning, quality checks and version control
- work with designers, editors and suppliers

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Outreach Manager to join our South West team. The Outreach Manager leads the Trust’s outreach work in Southwest England, providing expert advice on woodland creation, management and restoration to landowners, organisations and stakeholders across the region, in support if the Woodland Trust’s conservation aims. They lead, inspire and manage the South West Outreach Team, ensuring advice is appropriate, effective and focused for delivering impact and strategic goals.

The Role:

• Lead and support Regional Leads and the Regional Director to deliver strategic priorities aligned with the Woodland Trust’s vision, values and objectives.
• Provide effective leadership and day-to-day management of the South West Outreach team, ensuring delivery is prioritised, on time and within budget.
• Build, manage and strengthen strategic partnerships with landowners, stakeholders, volunteers, delivery partners and suppliers to maximise regional impact.
• Promote and deliver the Trust’s landowner offers through compelling proposals and business cases, influencing action and securing engagement.
• Act as an ambassador for the Woodland Trust, representing outreach work internally and externally, including with media and key partners.
• Provide strategic leadership for temperate rainforest recovery, driving regional priorities, collaboration and long-term ecosystem restoration planning.
• Work closely with fundraising teams to secure and maximise funding opportunities, develop partnerships and support high-value agreements.
• Oversee regional resources, including budget management, reporting, communications, and the development of case studies to showcase impact and best practice.
• This is a homebased role, requiring regular travel to locations within the South West landscape and wider England, sometimes to remote locations. You would be expected to live within reasonable travelling distance of your area of responsibility. Occasional travel to regional offices and overnight stays will be required.

The Candidate:

• Capable of leading, motivating and developing high-performing teams, with a strong understanding of health & safety requirements.
• Understanding of the forestry or environmental land-based sector, with a track record of delivering impactful outcomes.
• Expertise in managing landscape-scale programmes and complex, multi-partner projects to successful delivery.
• Strong networking and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and drive outcomes with key stakeholders and partners.
• Capability of shaping and implementing strategic plans, managing large budgets and reporting on performance and outputs.
• Excellent communication skills, with confidence to engage professionally and positively across a wide range of audiences and situations.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload, ensuring efficient delivery, value for money and maximum impact.
• Strong technical knowledge, including woodland creation and restoration, temperate rainforest recovery, forestry incentives and landowner drivers, supported by a relevant qualification (HND/Degree or equivalent) and a full driving licence.

You will track the return on investment of innovations within the portfolio, monitoring quarterly   sales and annual returns to understand whether innovations are delivering the expected impact and sustainability. How do we balance impact, growth and financial return? 
You will help with operational delivery, including due diligence, contracting, and invoicing. How do we keep the behind the scenes work steady so innovation can move forward? 
You will also help share the work of our team and innovators we support  through events, communications, and engagement. How do we make impact feel real and support innovations to be accessible to others? 
You will support learning and evaluation to understand what works and why. How do we make space for learning, not just delivery? 
Key responsibilities include: 

- Manage portfolio partner relationships through regular engagement, meetings, and stakeholder support 
- Develop and maintain impact metrics and dashboards to track portfolio performance, returns, and impact 
- Monitor financial performance including sales, returns, and quarterly partner reporting 
- Review and analyse partner reports to identify progress, risks, and key themes across the portfolio 
- Support income-generation opportunities by identifying routes for testing, implementation, and scaling 
- Monitor compliance requirements including contractual obligations and brand-licensing agreements 
- Lead evaluation activity by designing, commissioning, and monitoring evaluations with partners
