Our family support workers really focus on what we do at a grass roots level. Providing support to families on a daily basis as well as supporting and coordinating volunteers. Prior work with children and families is advantageous as is some knowledge of bereavement. However, full training and support will be given to the successful candidate.

Bereavement support is a challenging area of work, but also extremely fulfilling whether as a long-term career, or to develop experience and knowledge that can be transfered into other roles within the education, health and social care sectors. Attitude and aptitude are as important as prior skills and experience.

The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh would also be an advantage to this position or the willingness to learn.

This post is to support existing staff. As such it could be based anywhere within South Wales.

A waking Night Support Worker will help to provided support to the Young People in the service through the night. You will report to the team leader who will supervise your engagement and support of our Young People through the night. This is a great opportunity for a Waking Night Support Worker, wanting to gain exceptional experience in a Young People's service.

What you'll do:
- Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/ Manager.
- Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions.

Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. In some services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.
This role involves working on a rota pattern of 40h each week, to support a client with special needs.

You will support companions (residents) living and working at Sussex Emmaus.

Project info:
Sussex Emmaus is a 58 bed supported accommodation project. We offer low to medium support for those who have experienced or may be at risk of experiencing homelessness. Emmaus supports people to work their way out of homelessness, providing a home for as long as someone needs it. Emmaus works with people who may have faced multiple disadvantages. This can include but is not exclusive to: homelessness; mental health issues; contact with the criminal justice system; historical substance and/or alcohol misuse; and domestic abuse.
Emmaus is a homelessness charity with a difference, we offer a home, work and a sense of belonging. For many people who have experienced homelessness, losing their self-esteem can be the most damaging part of their experience. Emmaus provides an opportunity to work; it can be valuable in rebuilding companion’s self-esteem and self-worth. 

Job Summary:
Provide support to Companions using a person-centred approach, both emotionally and practically, so they can live and work in the Emmaus Community. The role will involve using a Strength Based Practice model to encourage Companions to become resilient and fulfilled. Assist Companions to become independent and maximise their skills, where necessary accessing outside support and services. Where appropriate, in accordance with Companion requests, provide a move-on pathway that enables them to be ready to live independently.

About the role:

This role is based In Pontypool Police Station however we have currently adopted a hybrid model. As a Triage and Early Interventions Officer you will:

• Act as the first point of contact for clients referred in to the service, ensuring that comprehensive impact and risks assessments are completed and a tailored response to each client's needs is provided.
• Carry a caseload of clients who require more immediate and short term interventions, referring on those with more long term needs either internally or externally. Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions.
• Ensure that support plans are developed with clients where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service.
• Provide accurate and timely performance information for internal and external use.
• Work with the client and other statutory and voluntary agencies to address the identified needs.
• Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns including both child protection and vulnerable adult issues.
• Ensure that all clients are of aware of their rights under the Victim's Code of Practice and the Witness Charter.
• To work alongside a team of staff (and volunteers where applicable) to reflect the diverse community and the needs of the victims, including those with particular vulnerabilities, utilising national and local resources to deliver individual, bespoke services with respect, dignity and sensitivity.
• Comply and keep up to date with data protection legislation, confidentiality and organisational policies and procedures, as well as all legislation connected to your work.

You will need:

We are seeking a Data and Impact Officer to join us to work closely with our Head of Data and Impact and Impact and Evaluation Manager. The role will include administering and developing our database, helping to assess the impact of our

Remuneration and details​​

What you'll do:

Payroll

Be responsible for the day to day delivery and coordination of the administration of the Payroll function, ensuring a timely and accurate payroll service is delivered to Look Ahead's employees, workers and Board members, to agreed deadlines
Produce and review any monthly exception reports to identify and rectify any payroll errors arising
Work with the HR Admin and Payroll Manager, Director of People and Director of Finance to ensure that payroll data processing reviews are rigorously and independently checked, validated and signed off
Act as liaison with internal and external auditors and other 3rd parties (as appropriate) on all matters with regard to Payroll processes, controls and systems
Act as liaison with MHR, HR department and Business Systems team on all areas of the payroll.

HR Admin

Acting as the first point of contact for all HR Admin related queries, via phone and email; responding promptly, whilst managing expectations effectively
Ensure letters for contractual changes for staff are sent out in a timely and accurate way and all relevant systems updated
Respond to straightforward policy and process queries, providing appropriate advice and guidance in line with Look Ahead policy, ensure that urgent items are prioritised and that any issues are highlighted and resolved as quickly as possible; escalate to the Admin Manager or an HR Business Partner as appropriate
