Role overview

The Partnership Manager will oversee and deliver account management across our mentoring partnership portfolio. This role involves managing the partner experience across a range of sectors, including higher education, the third sector, schools and corporate partnerships. The post-holder will be responsible for onboarding new partners, supporting them in developing their yearly mentoring plans, engaging in regular communications to ensure we’re on track with our deliverables, and renewing contracts annually. Success in this role will be measured by key performance indicators such as partner satisfaction, partner engagement and meeting renewal income targets. 

Key responsibilities

• Onboard new partners and welcoming them to Brightside
• Complete annual mentoring project plans with all partners
• Provide account management for partners to ensure a positive experience
• Coordinate our partner engagement work (such as our partner forums and the partner satisfaction survey)
• Meet regularly with partners to monitor project deliverables and ensure we meet and surpass expectations
• Lead critical partnership meetings, including planning meetings, mid-point reviews and end of contract reviews
• Lead contracting and renewal discussions with partners to achieve renewal income targets
• Manage partner contracts and invoicing
• Lead the recruitment function for our London based mentoring project, working with schools to promote the opportunity to young people
• Create and monitor renewals strategies for each partner
• Identify opportunities for upsells across the portfolio
• Work with partners to identify their critical success factors, and work with the delivery team to realise these
• Maintain our stakeholder register, to ensure we have the right relationships across the portfolio and the Brightside team
• Collaborate with the Senior Programme Manager to manage our approach to risk across the portfolio

Salary and benefits

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000

The Fairtrade Foundation are recruiting for a strong team manager and technical expert for the role of Head of Sustainable Sourcing to lead Fairtrade’s work developing & implementing sustainable supply chain strategies and the successful end to end journey of our licensees that will deliver increased impact for producers and grow the UK market for Fairtrade.

Fairtrade drives change through changing trade and in this role, you will lead, manage and motivate a team of senior managers, managers and officers responsible for the delivery of Fairtrade’s impact goals - ensuring Fairtrade’s interventions address the most important sustainability challenges across economic, environmental and social issues. This role will be leading across key commodities such as Cocoa, Coffee, Bananas, Tea, Gold and Flowers and across all our licensees.

Leading supply chain risk management, building solutions and driving forward opportunities to reduce environmental and human rights risks in supply chains.

The role is key for Fairtrade’s external profile and external relationship management. You will lead our UK partnerships with key intermediary partners supplying retail, brands and out of home partners (e.g. packers, roasters, traders, manufacturers, refiners) providing supply chain expertise and leading the support more broadly and all along the value chain to drive improved business practices in our retail, OOH and brand partners.

This role involves the management of people and projects, and delivery of outcomes. It includes writing and pitching fundraising proposals, devising and delivering projects and ensuring outputs and events are effectively planned and executed to deadline. The ultimate goal will be persuading policymakers to adopt your proposals. You will line manage up to three junior staff.

Reporting to the strategy director, you will work alongside other staff in an in-house policy team comprising the executive director, research and strategy directors, heads of policy, senior advisers, advisers, analysts and assistants. Responsibilities:

Strategy, budgeting and reporting

• Drive CALM’s corporate fundraising revenue, looking for opportunities to optimise and grow.

• Use data, insight and subject matter expertise to inform strategy, budgeting and reporting.

• Deliver the corporate fundraising strategy, which focuses on partnership growth and extensions, as well as winning new business - keeping CALM’s values, brand, tone of voice and objectives in mind.

• Achieve the annual targets agreed for corporate fundraising.

• Together with the Corporate Fundraising team, develop a strong pipeline of new partnership opportunities with a focus on £50k+ multi-year partnerships.

• Lead on, and support the Corporate Fundraising Managers to, cultivate and secure new high-value partnerships, with a focus on five and six figure opportunities in line with our ambitious targets. Your profile

Competencies: 

• Significant experience of working in corporate fundraising, with highly developed skills in both new business and account management, and examples of securing and managing six figure corporate partnerships.

• A demonstrable track record of delivering significant financial results against agreed targets and timescales.

• Excellent relationship management skills, with ability to engage effectively with a range of audiences, especially with influential and senior people, both internal and external.
