Successful candidates for the post of Head of Communications will be able to demonstrate:

The main duties of the Head of Communications role include:

Purpose of the job:

Develop, lead, implement, and ensure internal and external communications strategies are maintained and in line with PCS policy.

Lead on the strategic direction of the unions communications and oversee delivery, digital strategy, membership engagement and internal communications.

To advise and work alongside the National Management Team, National Executive Committee and partners to devise and implement communications campaigns and projects.

Main duties and responsibilities

1. Key areas

• Lead on, develop and implement internal and external communication strategies that align with the union's overall goals
• Create and oversee communication materials such as the creation of promotional and informative materials, digital campaigns, print materials, social media, audio and video
• Conduct quality controls on all communications, ensuring that all union communications and materials have consistent and positive messaging and branding
• Responding to crises or challenging situations quickly and professionally
• Contribute to the strategic development of the Unions policy objectives including the PCS planning process
• Provide support and have direct involvement through the National Management Team (NMT) in the unions bargaining, organising, campaigning, equality, learning and digital agendas

Job Summary 

The Head of Student Representation is a critical member of the Students’ Union’s Delivery senior team and leads Durham SU’s work in influencing Durham University in students’ academic interests, through the support of student leaders and volunteers. The Head manages the Student Voice team, which coordinate support for academic representatives, and which provides policy advice to student leaders and the Durham SU senior staff.

The Head is also the operational lead for data protection, information governance, and data analysis. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties 

The Head of Student Representation is responsible for the performance, growth and sustainability of Durham SU’s professional staff team and volunteers, organised to support faculty and academic representatives.

In particular, the Head will: 

• Lead effective support for Durham student leaders who want to help make Durham University education better and fairer. 

• Anticipate and respond to student need in their education, seek and seize opportunity, and manage risk.

The Marketing & Engagement Officer will support the Head of Commercial Activities and Volunteering and the wider organisation by leading on marketing, communications and community engagement. This role will focus on raising the profile of Age UK Lambeth, increasing awareness of our services, campaigns, and activities, and building stronger connections with our community to grow participation, partnerships, and support.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering marketing campaigns, creating compelling content, managing communications channels, and coordinating engagement initiatives and events. About this role

Contract, location and salary

This is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), permanent role. This role is UK based, hybrid working with regular attendance (approximately 1-2 days per month, or more if preferred) in our London office. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK currently and for the duration of the contract.

About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and organised Community and Events Manager to lead and grow Playskill’s community and events fundraising stream.  This role is vital to increasing awareness and generating income to support our services, through meaningful community engagement and events.

You will be responsible for managing and developing our annual events (including The Playskill Golf Day), introducing new local fundraising opportunities, and building relationships within community groups.  You will also line manage the Fundraising Officer, helping to support their contribution to the fundraising team.

Skills and Experience Required:

· Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.

· Strong relationships building and donor stewardship abilities.

Overall Purpose of the Head of Services

This new role reports to the Chief Executive and is a member of the charity’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT).  The role reflects planned development and expansion in the charity’s direct service provision including the development of a permanent Helpline following a pilot project in 2025.

As a small national charity, the role combines hands on operational delivery and management with strategic leadership and vision for our Information services, Helpline, and other support services. The Position:

You will be joining our small, passionate NGO to manage our programme implementation and delivery. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be tasked with managing the distribution and delivery of our programmes. This will involve ensuring KPIs are met within budget and on time, larger projects may be handled by you directly at times. Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver on our diverse projects
